You have to be in the mood for this game, and I just wasn't. I don't see myself ever being in the mood for this game. Don't get me wrong: I like to immerse myself in an imaginary universe as much as the next person. Does anyone remember "Riven"? All time fave!
My problem with this game was that I just couldn't figure out what they were getting at, with the puzzles. Another reviewer here said that the puzzles are of the 'Sudoku' type. I've never played Sudoku, so that must be why I had no idea what was going on. I like solving puzzles, but I need to have an idea of what I'm aiming at, or what I'm trying to do. There were hints scattered around the game, in various locations, but I couldn't figure out which hints referred to which puzzle.
Anyway, this just didn't click for me. Some other reviewers liked it, so maybe you will, too, but do yourself a favor and play the trial version first. You'll know from that if you'll enjoy this game.
Sooo-oo much fun that I couldn't stop playing! Fresh storyline, variety of environments, puzzles and HO scenes that I haven't seen a million times, beautiful artwork! I enjoyed this game more than any in a long time. There are puzzles at the end (if you have collected all of the morphs and collectibles, I believe) which are a nice extra treat. I kind of hate it that I played straight through, because now the game is over! That's how much I liked this game! I definitely will re-play, which I rarely do because of the "been there, done that" factor, but this is a game I'll be re-playing, perhaps several times. Thanks, 5-BN :-)
I recommend this game!

Yuletide Legends: The Brothers Claus Collector's Edition
Soooo glad that I didn't listen to the pooh-poohers! This game is a winter holiday treat visually, and an interesting twist on winter & Christmas personalities. I took my time with this game because it is simply beautiful. And I found the story to be interesting, too. Not the most difficult game I've ever played, but not just a walk in the snow, either. Just right for some fun evening relaxation during the hustle and bustle season. And, like another reviewer said, I loved the crunch-crunch sound while trudging through the snow :-) I'm off to play "Yuletide Legends: Frozen Hearts".
Nice 'rainy day' game. Not too challenging, which is just what's needed sometimes, but I had to use my thinking cap with some of the puzzles (I like to try to figure them out without reading the directions first ... weird, huh?). Best aspect, for me, was that this game has lots of HO scenes! I love reviews that say "too many HO scenes", because then I know that I'll enjoy the game. Kudos to devs for the twist of playing as two characters, at the end. More thinking cap material :-) I hope there are more in this series.
ABC = ABOUT as BORING as CAN be. Okay, "boring" isn't really the right word, but "frustrating" is. As some others have mentioned, it's frustrating to wait while scenes load. Also frustrating is the repeating screen "have you seen the awards you can achieve" over, and over! Yes, I've seen them, so enough already. Major frustration: if the cursor isn't exactly, and I mean exactly precisely in the perfect spot, the desired game progression will not occur. Example: in order to show that one fellow was upset and overwrought, I was trying to click that his clothes were wrinkled. After about 20 clicks on his clothes, a random click triggered "his clothes are wrinkled". Aaarrrrgh! And, as others have said, it is super clunky to get Poirot to walk anywhere. All in all, this game wasn't fun for me, and I gave up. No point if it's not fun.
Visually stunning jigsaw-type puzzles that all look like stained glass. It just doesn't get any more beautiful than this. Also, the sound track is pleasant and unobtrusive. I like to do a few of these puzzles before bed, and have sweet dreams. I really hope they make more editions of this collection.

Very enjoyable game. Not a real brain twister, and sometimes that's exactly what I'm looking for. The 'options' are flexible, so you can tailor the difficulty to your preferences.
The graphics are enchanting. I found myself spending a lot of time just taking in the scenery. The music is relaxing, and not annoying. I didn't encounter any glitches.
If you'd like a break from ghouls, gore, and screens too dark to see anything, you cannot go wrong with this game! I'm sincerely hoping for more "Tiny Tales".
Totally agree with other reviewers that this is a refreshing change from the usual. Interesting story line about Druids. I have one chapter remaining, and I don't want it to end! Great fun, IMHO, to search for the sprigs of mistletoe (pretty much makes up for the lack of morphs ... and I love morphs). Unlike some other reviewers, I didn't get tired of the music, or annoyed by it, and I don't care if characters' mouths move during dialogue. Big Thank You to 'clairepagan' for naming this game as her current favorite in the sidebar to her review of Hidden Expedition: Smithsonian Castle. I often follow these sidebar links to discover games I haven't played, and games I haven't heard of before, so folks please remember to name current favorites, many thanks.
