No fun at all! I don't understand all the great reviews. It is basically click as fast as you can, run a level multiple times before you can figure out the order to follow, then hope you make it before time runs out!! Like I said, NO FUN at all.
This game is a port over from the android devices. It is programmed by novices who have no idea how to be subtle, complex, and innovative. The game engine is simplistic to the point of absurdity. You will know very early on whether you will win each battle - no matter how far ahead or how expert your strategy if you aren't suppose to beat the opponent you will NOT. The game is repetitive: pretty much the same opponents, same match three elements, and little in the way of fun!
There are absolutely no guides to be found anywhere. Many of the "power ups", weapons (usage), magical items, etc. seem secondary if not relatively impervious to effecting any outcomes. The only way to have any real effect on your opponent is to match skulls on the match three game board.
I have played for about three hours... cannot stand it any more! T-E-D-I-O-U-S.
I don't recommend this game.

I've played the previous versions of Toy Defense and especially liked Toy Defense 3 - Fantasy. I was hoping Toy Defense Sci-Fi would be a version of that game however it is a more complex version of the prior Toy Defense (1 & 2) games.
I very much disliked the "new functionality" that was much better orchestrated in the Fantasy version. Now you must purchase everything with some functions having been further broken out for purchase. For those of you who haven't played these games, "purchase" refers to the stars earned after each match that can be used to upgrade the stats of various weapons.
Power ups function differently (located in the "Arsenal") and I'm pretty sure the "Hand of God" is not working.
My best recommendation is to play the trial version to get a feel for this one and decide whether you like all the controls required to play the game now.
The village of Lumina is in trouble! Defeat your challengers with the help of powerful spells, and find treasures in more than 10 hidden object scenes.
You MUST finish the Puzzle Challenges to complete the game!!

Too bad I didn't know this BEFORE purchasing the game. Don't be fooled by the "skip" button, since you will be forced to complete the challenge at Level 201. Check the forums. I wish I had.
My biggest complaint is the lack of an interactive (transport) map. This is definitely a go-fer game with many trips to opposite ends of its universe. The graphics are great, the HOs detailed, but some objects are nearly impossible to find, others not well described or mislabeled. The puzzles were VERY time consuming and I pretty much skipped all of them but one or two (well, maybe three) - near the end some cannotbe skipped. The script contains total stereotypes, is poorly written (think of B movie level but worse), and the ending abrupt and disappointing (to say the least.)
Ultimately, after completion, I wished I had gone with my gut and just quick after the first two hours.
I've just completed this Dark Parables adventure and have to say that it has been an enjoyable journey. I'm playing this series in order and have been impressed with the quality of the graphics and storyline. The HOs and puzzles are not overly complex which I prefer in these types of games.
Read all the other one and two star reviews and you'll essentially have my agreement. TOO many go-fer one item somewhere 12 screens away, then return. How did the developers not understand the need for a map - at least - and more likely a teleporter. I got karpal tunnel just getting through to the end.
Story line was adequate as were the graphics. The HO's were typical with one or two items well disguised and the puzzles were not extraordinarily challenging (which I liked.)
Explore the vastness of a ship lost in time, what mysteries will you uncover amidst its Mayan idols, menacing sea creatures, and exotic treasures? Find out in this exciting new Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure game on the open seas!
I cannot add much since there are many reviews before mine. The graphics are marvelous. I was able to complete the whole game without using a walkthru or other guide.
As a follow up to the first in the series, this was an enjoyable adventure with the option to do Match 2's instead of the HOs which turned out to be necessary sometimes since the objects weren't readily identifiable.
Looking forward to the next in the series which most probably will occur on a similar storyline given... well, just play the game and you'll get what I mean.
Ultra-linear. Don't skip ahead. Make sure to do things in order.

From reading much of the forum/technical comments, this game is very linear. Apparently I will never see the items for the Pharaoh's Mask simply because I moved ahead with other tasks. Too bad! I was starting to enjoy this game.
Definitely read the technical issues section of this website to learn what NOT to do.
I was approximately 48 minutes into the Demo version. Sigh. I have no intentions of starting from scratch by uninstalling the game. The developers should take note that such a requirement (or lack of versatility) is unacceptable.
