I enjoyed this HOG. It's seems to be copying the Vacation Park Ranger games, which isn't a bad thing - game-play wise. It's not the best looking game, but it had some lovely locations. It felt a little short. I really liked the mini games, and I wish I could play them more.
There were some errors and a few odd terms I'd never heard of - I think they're French. Chariotee = Carriage, Affiche = Poster, Secateurs= Garden Shears. Twice the clue was "comb" but the items were actually hair brushes. Card was spelled "kard".
It would be nice if next time they included a count for the "Find 20 musical instruments" or "Find 20 birds." They did for the Find the Difference mini game, which was nice.

I enjoyed this game, mostly. The graphics are very good, the game play is good, and I appreciate that the game doesn't penalize you for clicking on the wrong thing, not even a noise meant to make you feel foolish.
This has the same odd setup that the other "Travel to" games have. You have to earn money to unlock the next sections of the game. This requires you to go back and replay earlier scenes, but with new styles of search: scramble, silhouette, spot-the-difference, and mirror.
All of the mini games come after you've played through all the scenes at least once. The minigames feel tacked on, and I didn't feel any compulsion to play them once I completed all the searchable scenes. There are two difference jigsaw minigames, which I liked, as well as solitaire, card match, and word search. A pretty uninteresting group of minigames, all in all.
The level of challenge can be next to impossible a lot of the time. I found the game too difficult at times and had to use the hints, which I really don't like doing. They make me feel less invested in the game.
There are too many dark objects hiding in dark shadows. At one point, I literally started randomly clicking in the shadows of a boat and clicked on a hidden object that I could not see. At least one object was over 50% hidden behind another object. This kind of thing is bad game design.
When I can't find an object, first I'm frustrated, but after a while of searching, I get bored. The worst thing a game should make you feel is bored! When it's this bad, and I finally find the object, I don't feel happy or triumphant; my response is usually "Finally this scene is over."

I enjoyed Prime Mosaic, but I can't recommend it.
The game play is excellent, I like the feel of it, and the puzzles are tricky enough to keep me paying attention. The pictures are necessarily crude, and that's alright because the pictures aren't the point of the game. There are 150 puzzles, which makes for a good, long game.
I can't recommend Prime Mosaic for two reasons:
1. There is no save option. The game saves the puzzles after you complete them and that's it. If you have to leave in the middle of a puzzle and shut down the game, it will not save your work on the puzzle, and it doesn't let you save manually. When you come back to the puzzle, you have to start all over.
2. Because you can't save your work, whenever you start it up, the game takes you to the first page. You then have to scroll through the pages to get to the one that has the next puzzle to solve. There are 15 pages, so if you left off on a puzzle on page 14, you have a lot of scrolling to do. This isn't a terrible flaw, just a very annoying one.
I tolerated these things and enjoyed the game. Maybe you can, too. I don't feel I can recommend a game that's missing a fundamental feature like a save option you can use whenever and wherever you want, or an automatic save function when you shut down the game.
Again, I enjoyed the game. I hope there will be more Prime Mosaic games in the future with a save option; I would be happy to play them.

My 5-year-old niece would probably like Polygon Art 3
I gave the demo a try to see if it's improved. The biggest problem with Polygon Art remains: it's just too simple and only takes a couple of minutes to complete a picture. I played the demo for 53 minutes and colored 20 pictures; that's less than 3 minutes per picture.
The good is there's a nice variety of different color schemes, many of them cheerful. The pictures I completed all look very good. The images are fine though uninspired. At least they're not all childish.
I'm not going to buy this one. I can recommend it for small children and people who only have a few minutes to color a picture.

I love this version of the paint by numbers programs. It's a great improvement over other versions. I especially love the new textures and styles that make the results less pixelated than other kinds. I also like that there aren't many cutesy pictures. I found this very relaxing, which is what I want from this kind of game.
I recommend this game!

Hidden Identity: Chicago Blackout
You awake with amnesia and will need to track down clues to discover your lost identity in this riveting Hidden Object game!
I really enjoyed this game. It has a humorous attitude and the HOG scenes were sometimes challenging but not frustrating. The only downside is that it's too short, at least in story mode. Fortunately, once the story part is over, you can enter "endless mode" to play the scenes again and again.

I almost bought this one. The match 3 play is good - except for one aspect - and the hidden object part is all right. That one aspect is the game sending a bat flying and/or a turtle crawling over the match 3 area in the middle of the game play. You have to stop playing the M3 and click rapidly on the creatures until you kill them. If you ignore them long enough, they commit seppuku or something and fall off the screen. But they're hard to ignore, especially the turtle. It doesn't matter if you kill them or ignore them since they always come back a few seconds later either way. I found this feature so annoying that it ruined the game for me.
