I didn't even make it thru the 1 hour trial. There are only two modes, easy and normal, I played the harder "Normal" setting. There are no points, it's only about getting 3 stars. So the idea of playing as other people has no appeal. It does get a bit harder as you progress in the game, but mostly because you're trying to figure out how to "activate" things.
Visually and storyline it was okay, but i've played with better. Watching the "bad guys" drop into holes was about the only fun thing in the game.
But if you're looking for a boring, stress-free, slightly annoying game this may be a good fit for you.

I noted one of the other reviews said theirs asked which of the 8 products they wanted to keep, my Mac did not even do that. At 9 whichever was chosen would just disappear. E.g. if I chose an employee I wanted to hire it would "disappear" never to be seen again.
In addition, (for me) after I beat the last level or "employee" I did not have the opportunity to continue the game. It would keep replaying the last interface I had with no ability to proceed with the game.
I played this on my PC (trial mode) and when it showed up on my Mac I thought I'd give it a go because it was entertaining; trying to keep your employees educated, but also keeping up morale, but this game was to buggy on my Mac to make it remotely fun.
I found ways around the bugs until the last "challenge", all in all a waste of $$ and my time.

This is a one person player game role, meaning you can't create multiple players.
There is no TM aspect, you can play as long or as short as you want and it will not impact a "score" because there isn't one. Unlike a few non-traditional TM games, such as this one, this game doesn't even give you an overall time-punch (at least then you can try to out-beat your previous time).
All you play for is awards.
This game is cute, and I recommend it, because it is fun. However, it should just be listed as a strategy game not a TM game. I'm scoring it low on that factor.
Because I'm new to Youda take everything I say with a grain of salt. I've tried one other Youda game and was less than impressed.
I played the 1 hour version of this game and it locked up (again could be the newbie factor) finally had to do a hard reboot on my mac to get it back.
However, the level's are challenging because you want to make sure you have enough ingredients on hand for the level, but if you overbuy you won't make the level. Another thing I didn't like is if you left the previous day with a lot of an ingredient (e.g. rice) it would be gone the following day. Perhaps there's an upgrade to buy a freezer to keep ingredient's fresh, but I didn't get that far, and most sushi (good sushi places) will trash the day's ingredients, so that may not be realistic.
There is no story line and limited help. After not making a level I had two "X" buttons to click on, I clicked on them both, nothing happened... Thus the restart.
I clicked on the help button and it took me to upgrades (that didn't make a lot of sense). I also got hung up in the upgrades using the forward/back clicks, (nothing every scrolled) but I was able to X out of that okay.
Overall disappointed but mind you I only made it to level 9, I'm not a Youda fan, and I found the graphics and sound were annoying. And because of the lack of story line it wasn't engaging. You play merely for the entertainment of trying to beat a level, or perhaps going back to beat a previous level's score.

I own this game on my PC and just uploaded the Mac version. It's actually harder on the Mac than the PC version (IMHO)! The graphics are arguably better on the Mac, but there is a delay on Mac in sending things off for "processing" that I don't have on my PC.
I also had an issue upgrading factories on the mac its different than the PC and in the midst of the game doesn't really tell you what to do (but you'll figure it out).
In addition, I only played the 1 hour version on my Mac, and the game "UN-expectantly" quit on me twice. Something about when these software companies use a rapid tool to convert, dunno, do they not test it in full?
However, in the grand scheme of things this is an awesome game to play if you've never played it, I think you'll have a great time! Regarding a previously comment that the bears are hard to catch, that is true on the PC and Mac, and you need to upgrade your cage, which hopefully you can do shortly after level 3-4.
After reading a lot of the reviews, I didn't think I would like it and almost didn't purchase it, but after purchasing & playing it really is fun and challenging.
Some people posted latency in the cursor/clicks; i experienced that as well and found out turning off the custom cursor in the options menu did the trick.
And yes, painfully slow Stella goes faster as you upgrade her, you can also upgrade all her co-workers, Mae, Lily, and Grace. Also for those upset with the speed of the first few levels (zones) try planning your actions in advance, you know that the customer will want to go to the dressing room, send Stella there before (or while) you drag your customer.
Another thing I like about this game (more than Sally's Salon) is you can queue up a set of tasks (for Stella et. al) and while your choosing shoes they will continue with their tasks in the background.
The incense seems to be a big deal as to whether you get 3 stars or less. Use it when you're toward the end of the level or, when you have a large number of people ready to check out if you're short.
I'm really not sure why the person gave this game 1 star after completing all the levels at 3 stars and still not having all the upgrades. My usual complaint is the opposite! I have all the upgrades and want more!
I'm not all the way thru the game but it's a blast, and the storyline is entertaining!

So I can't tell you if this is vastly improved, I mostly played it to see if i had the same issue as the other reviewer had that could not see the screen at all.
I could see the screen in full, and there was a mac wheel that you could scroll over to get options for things like shuffling, getting a hint, quit, changing the board, etc.
What I liked: - There were a large number of tiles compared to other Majong games I've played (and right off the bat, i didn't have to wait to get to level 20 before it became challenging). - You could get up to 3 stars per level. - The game kept track of my time (but I didn't play long enough to see if it would let me try to beat my previous time on a board). - You could choose the board you wanted to play.
What i didn't like: - I just found the game boring compared to other Mahjong games ive played that have power ups and bonuses for quick finds. This was just a standard Mahjong perhaps old school game. - Graphics were uninteresting, dull. - While the game did tell you when you were out of moves, you had to either shuffle (which means you'd only get 1 star) or roll back your tile selections. - The sound was putting me to sleep.
Overall, I would not suggest this game because I'm more used to Mahjong games that offer a lot of interaction and great graphics. However, I did find this game challenging so if you're just looking for a standard Mahjong game without a lot of the "bling" you may find this game rewarding.

Reading some of the reviews I almost didn't give this game a chance. However, after playing my 1 hour demo I actually really enjoyed it & decided to purchase it.
There are some quirks on this game, for example as another reviewer wrote sometimes you can't get rid of stuff Amber is carrying, your supposed to be able to hand that stuff off to Eric (even if it is a new watch from the case for example) but for some reason he doesn't always take it from Amber (typical male?).
Another thing I didn't like is there is a high clicking rate, similar to other time mgmt games like diner dash, however in this game you also have to refill the cases which is another series of clicks you don't need to do in dd. So give yourself a break after an hour or so if your fingers need it.
I didn't have any issues picking up the item's I wanted or canceling Amber's actions by right-clicking however. That would be frustrating.
What I did like about this game was the purchases in your store really mean the difference between making a mediocre score to making double (or more) the expert score. Also the purchases aren't really for your "shop" their for your level, if you don't use an upgrade during that level it will carry over and you can use it on a future level. Therefore, if something is on sale in the shop (Amber's speedy shoes for example) load up because you can apply them in future rounds.
Another thing I liked about this game was chaining your actions could really increase your score (I don't think the tutorial went over this) so get everyone's requests at once, deliver, cash-out, and then return the leftover jewels to Eric.
If there are people in the lobby getting anxious you can purchase some hearts from the shop so you can keep them calm while you finish with your current guests.
Overall it was a fun game because if you're like me and constantly want to beat your previous high score, you can do it by making smart purchases in the shop, and chaining your actions which is often not the case in other TM games where no matter what you do you can't beat a previous score.
I recommend this game!

I disagree with most of the other comments on this game, the only thing your playing for in this builder game is trying to get expert level, which I felt was very easy.
There is no total score as with many of the other builder/resource games where in order to get the "highest score" you need to beat the expert time, plus have the most resources by the time you finish the tasks on each level.
In addition, there is no hidden object to find on each level to unlock bonus levels.
There is an achievements section. I managed to get several in my 1 hour of play time including the "lazy" achievement because my workers were waiting around for the crystal to power up.
I only played the one hour trial and the graphics were okay. The sound wasn't annoying, but this game was not a'tall challenging.
The mini games were extremely easy. I'm not sure why someone would want to play this game over and over again unless there was something competitive about playing it multiple times (perhaps at the end they show you're overall time played and you can try and beat that?).

The audio is dreadful and repetitive, I was so sick of it after playing for a few hours I muted the game and put on my headset.
The graphics are an okay to bad on my scale.
What makes this game fun is figuring out what everyone wants on any particular level, and making sure you have the recipes, staff, tables, and other variables to help eventually achieve a 5 star rating.
This is a really long game, it can take you more than an hour just to get one star in your first restaurant!
There's also AFAIK no leader score/awards score or who did the best score for people playing, which IMHO makes this time management a waste of time (pun intended). I wish I would have not purchased this game.
