I'll start by saying that I don't normally like time management games. However, these "build a land" type of games are fast becoming a favorite.
"Moai: Build Your Dream" was so enjoyable it just served to make me like these types of games even more. I liked the challenge of each level. There were several where I couldn't reach 3 stars and it took me forever to "win". But I enjoyed the chase of those 3 stars. There were approx 65 levels which was perfect.
The only thing I didn't like about this game was the main character. You play The Hero, come to save the island of Moai. Every time I looked at the Hero he looked smug and arrogant. There wasn't anything sympathetic or incredibly motivating about him. I'd rather a bumbling type of Hero.
I bought this game a few years ago. I have played it over and over .....and over again. Tiles pop up and you have to fit them against the same colored tiles to "pop" them. Whereby you release fairies trapped inside the tiles. This game is ridiculously simple in its premise. However it's very challenging, especially in the higher levels. I spent weeks trying to finish the game successfully. I tend to put this in the same category as solitaire. What I mean by that is, although this game is definitely nothing close to solitaire, it's one of those old standbys I can always go to. I'm off to try Elven Mists 2. Can't wait.
Oh my goodness do I love this game! I LOVED the first 2. In Libro, however, is different. There's more motion, walking, exploring etc. and there are less games. I wish there were more mini games but cest la vie. All in all I love this 3rd game and I would buy it all over again. My only wish is that I had bought the collector's edition since with more content.
I love this game. I love any interior decorating and this fits the bill. I like that you have to solve a riddle to figure out what your clients want. When you decorate all the colors are gray tone. The room doesn't become colorful until you're all done building it. I wish they changed this. Most importantly, I wish they came out with another version. The Christmas one is good. The kitchen and baths...meh, not so great. I've been waiting for another game in this series but it looks like it won't happen. :( If you like to do interior decorating then this is the game for you!
