Allow me to begin by saying I am not a fan of snowy or icy story backgrounds. They are my least favorite so that may weigh in on my review. I love this series but I did not enjoy this game. I found it bland and flat. I have played wonderful games by this dev in the past. I took a break from playing Big Fish games. I hope this dev has not rolled downhill. Time will tell. I own several more from this developer so I hope for the best. I suspect this was a trip in the mud.
Dark shadows are rising, the spirits are restless and Lord Strix is back! Travel to his hidden lair and defeat him once and for all—but hurry; he grows stronger by the minute!
This is a sequel to Tales From The Dragon Mountain: The Strix. I played both games back to back. You should really play the first game before playing this one. Pure adventure with no hidden objects scenes. This is an SE game with CE perks. There are collectible dragons & achievements Definitely worth a free game code!
Too many people are spoiled by the new HOPAs out there. For those of you who still appreciate old school adventure games this one is a lot of fun. You of course have some point & click adventure. There are puzzles, a bit of HO action and a couple Match 3 boards. I liked the way they did them. Not a lot of back & forth. Once you finish a chapter witch includes several areas you move on. The story is actually good. A couple of the characters have VERY annoying voices so I am going to ding this a star. Use one of your free game codes on it :)
I bought this a couple years ago and played it. It is a stand alone unique game. I loved it. I just played it again today and decided to write a short review. A detective story set in the past. The story moves along quickly. This game keeps you playing. The graphics are older but still good. I loved the voice acting. This is a great SE to buy during a sale or if it is offered up as a daily deal. Enjoy!
This is a short review. I can tolerate the blue pink purple scenes in a great game but not in a mediocre game. blue pink purple blue pink purple UGH I agree with Pennmom. I prefer my Morphing Objects in the actual scenes and not the HOS. Too easy! I like a challenge when I play a game. Just my 2 cents

Very slow moving. This game did not hold my attention. I found myself dozing off. Drab backgrounds & art. There are MUCH better GRIM TALES games out there. This one was a bit below average.

WOW 40 Collectibles Acheivements to earn Great Story with nice voiceovers! Fun HOS And this is the SE version! Bought this game in 2013 and this is my second play through. I just felt the need to say GET THIS GAME!
I loved the graphic scenes in this game. A wee bit different and lots of fun. The HOs were well done & fun. interactive also. The story was very good ... not great but held my interest throughout the game. The music was good but towards the end of the game it became rather annoying. Lovely graphics & artwork The only real problems I encountered was the game cursor. It was slow and clunky. It lagged a second behind which made it "float" to were I wanted it. So I had to use my underwhelming boring PC arrow cursor :P The other problem was that I had to back out of a couple HO because my "Clicks would not take". Had to do the same with a couple rooms. Not a big deal. I found the cursor problem much more annoying. I give this a 3.5
