I'm always pleasantly surprised when a game includes puzzles that are not identical to the 5 stock puzzles in most HOG's. This game had lots of them, as well as lots of HOS's - which were integral but did not dominate the game tediously. Nice balance of puzzles, HOS's and storyline.
I recommend this game!

I don't even try them out first, because I always love them. The artwork is beautiful, and it's wonderful to sort through their lovely HOPS - no centipedes, bugs, worms, bones - but lovely, ambient pictures from which you put together jeweled keys etc. I love the strangeness of their twists on fairy tales. This game wasn't my favorite of the DP series - I'm not mad about seascapes - but even so it was head and shoulders above other HOGS. I always play easy mode because I'm impatient - and I noticed that in this game they had notched up the difficulty just a little, just enough. Nice Job guys, keep em coming.

I don't even try them out anymore. They are my favorite HOPs (hidden object pieces). The art work is beautiful - no sifting through moldy piles of bugs or bones.- instead you piece together beautiful, emblems made of carvings and gemstones. The fairy-tale aspect is wonderful - as they re-tell well-known fairy tales with odd, modern twists. (Nerd alert! I actually read all the parables that you learn as you progress through the game.) I love Dark Parables and the fact that often characters are linked from one game to the next.- not that you need to know that - just a little perk for Dark Parables fans. Hurry up, Guys, I'm ready for the next one..
