This installment of Midnight Mysteries has greatly improved from the first one (Edgar allan poe conspiracy). You have to think like a magician, solve puzzles, some HO. Collect clovers, and ravens for hints. The graphics and sound set the mood for this creative and challenging game.

It takes 9 medallions to destroy the dark side. A lot of puzzles and backtracking to get there. No Map. Graphics and sound were solid and go very well w/ the game. Very good storyline which makes this a good game.

I'm always trying different games and stumbled across this delightful series of golden trail games. You collect items for your inventory, to interact w/ to open things, ect. to unlock each part of the town you are investigating. Finding clovers in each screen will help to unlock unlimited Ho as well. They will prompt you if you found everything, (including clovers) what to do next. Moving your cursor slowly, (an item not listed to find) will slightly sparkle. It is a lost item that adds to an achievement as well.

The graphics are old school as compared to today's games as well as the music, but the game play makes up for that. Traditional mahjong or adventure. Relaxed mode is nice, no pressure. HO, spot the difference, make sure you pick up jade pearls for hint button.

Everything from start to dramatic finish was well done. A great map, visuals and music create a believable ambiance to the story, as well as game play. Be sure to look 4 small sea creatures that are transforming into regular objects. Collect them for an achievement.

Be patient with this game, when it first starts out I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue, but once it gets going it is a good game. It's kinda old school as far as graphics, but the game play makes up for it. Move your cursor slow.
