I loved this game. You will really enjoy the characters you meet and the tasks you have to complete to discover the truth about Jones and the toy store. Shelly Callahan (I think that's her name) does a great job with the voice. I loved the secret entrance you access with a card. The conclusion is worth traveling all around town, searching for clues, ho's, and unique puzzles. I wish it was longer, but I still rate it 5 stars. It's rare to find a cool sci-fi game, so thanks Bigfish!
Wow! This is a true Gothic adventure game. No weird organ music or fairytales. Just a great medieval story. You are the only one who can free souls, learn the secret of the Unicorn, and save Sophie. I loved the talking spirits, the puzzles, ho's, and effects. I also loved the hours and hours of play it requires to complete the quest, and then into bonus play. Kudos to the developers and BFG.
This wasn't my kind of creepy gothic game. The music sounded like a vocal less choir on a loop; terrible. Endless Hidden objects like other reviewers have mentioned. I just got bored with too many ho's. I would quit and play later, forget where I was in the game. (hint button used). It could have been a lot better. The puzzles were outdated and simple. Maybe demo the game to see if you will enjoy this. I should have.
I really liked this story and the challenge of defeating each of the 7 deadly sins. The bonus chapter was great as well. When you complete the bonus chapter there is a hint that another Riddles of Fate game may come to Bigfish. I hope so because I agree with fellow reviewers; Elephant games are unique, big budget adventures with incredible stories, graphics, hos, puzzles, the works.
I enjoyed this latest edition of Dark Parables. If you have played other installments of this series you will see characters and references to previous versions. Just a tribute to these epic games. Blue tea is the bee's knee IMHO. I love fragmented objects (frogs#. I am surprised by 1 star ratings #which is "hated it" in overall rating and "awful" in the rest). You won't hate this game and it's nowhere close to awful. The bonus game is fun and leads you to believe it will be the next story in Dark Parables. Thanks Bigfish I loved it! xox
Wow! This marathon HOPA was a total surprise. It took several hours to complete all the tasks before finally freeing Emmett from the evil green spirit he's possessed with. I am usually not a fan of teleportation maps, but this game almost requires one. There are tons of puzzles, ho's, inventory and travel. Lots of characters to interact with too. My only challenge with the game was that my cursor was a bit sluggish, but maybe I was just impatient. Overall this is a great adventure for the price.
I am totally impressed with how fantastic and realistic this adventure played out. I believe this is the best HOPA Bigfish has offered this year thus far. I played the entire game and the bonus game; it took hours of game-play. This is a stand-out CE not to be missed. The cut scenes, spot on lip sync vo's and more puzzles than ho's really made this a winner for me. I disagree with reviews based on demo play only, it's not enough time to really engage with the game.
You came to the town of Brownville, Louisiana hoping to find a new job. But you weren't expecting to stumble upon a strange adventure in a world filled with beauty and danger!
I respectfully disagree with fellow contributors, and I cannot understand why this stunning adventure has received low ratings. I loved every minute of this epic world and I didn't want to leave..... Help defeat an evil villain named Simon, while saving your friends Ben and Louisa with the use of teleportation cards. The cards also double as magical powers to aid your journey. You are also accompanied by purple rabbit companion that is essential in assisting you throughout the game. You soon discover that the "keepers" of the game need new players to "feed" the game. An inventive twist to the HOPA genre. This developer has an awesome imagination and I hope to see more of this series. I can't praise this one enough. Bigfish breaks the ceiling with this winner. Bonus game is fabulous also.
I have to thank Bigfish and Elephant developers for this latest installment of Mystery Trackers. This is big budget HOPA hands down. The story is somewhat creepy, but interesting until the end and on into the bonus play. I played the entire game not just demo. There is a strategy to elephant games that you find in all titles featured on Bigfish. When you play you discover inventory items which you might have to use in several places, or returning with a screwdriver for example. This requires concentration and memory. Some folks will either get it, or give up trying. When you discover the method you need to totally complete this adventure, you will source out all games by this developer! I can't wait until the next one, perhaps we will see a developer spotlight soon. I strongly recommend this for seasoned players, but maybe not for beginners. Kudos for voice, effects, and beautiful graphics.
This is an exceptional adventure you don't want to miss. I played hours upon hours. Lots of inventory, puzzles, and an epic story. Hitchcock would love the scene's with the creepy crows. I really enjoyed the interactive ho's, wish more developers would include this feature. When you reach Stephen (the character who can change into bear) you think you have solved the quest. No you continue until you can destroy the crown. The bonus game lets you explore even further. Thank you Bigfish for offering this awesome game!!!
