This was NOT a CE and it could have been! Finished the game and REALLY enjoyed it! Graphics were good, sound quality as well. There was no running back and forth to find an item. The puzzles were not that hard nor too easy. The game felt put together better than many recently - smarter design, storyline, etc. While this is one in a series of similar games, it is still quite original (no broken down cars, etc.) Again, while not a CE, this game was a good length and included the stratedy guide. Enjoy!
I recommend this game!

I bought this game...and forced myself to finish it. Overall it was drab, colorless...never got any better than the first 1/2 hour or so in the demo. While the length was ok for a CE, I felt like it was just dragged out to make it so. AND the extra content was VERY mediocre. This game is just more of the middle of the road games that are coming out with similar themes. Not very original, drab coloring, storyline rather mundane. I ONLY recommend if buying as a regular game...and maybe with a coupon!
I don't recommend this game.

While the general theme has been done before, I was pleased with the game and story line (especially since it did NOT start out with a car crash!) Art work was good, acting/voice overs as well. HO areas were not too difficult either. This game is both HO as well as adventure and quite engaging. I'm pleased that these developers are continuing with quality games.
I recommend this game!

Mystery Case Files: Escape from Ravenhearst
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.

I didn't buy the CE because of the reviews but figured I'd get the regular version with my monthly game codes. I am SO GLAD I got this game!!! Yes, only having morphing objects is abit of a drag, but there really aren't that many scenes where you have to look for objects anyway. The game is more of an adventure game and I for one loved it! I think I might purchase the CE anyway after all!
