Golden Trails 3 begins with Jacque waking up in a tavern after being knocked unconscious. He has a dangerous adventure on his hands that leads him to some surprising secrets involving the Knights Templar Order and a treasure. The game looks and feels simple if you just "stick your toe in the water" but it contains fun difficulties, the kind of challenges that don't make you want to pull your hair out in frustration.
I had a great time with it. There was an abundance of HOs and plenty of interactivity. In addition, there were lots of secret places, each hiding another object needed in your quest. And did I mention that the HOs are quite small and well hidden ? But that did not hinder the game at all. For me, it meant more fun...I love the extra challenge. Fear not, you will not be stuck forever as in so many other games. There is a great hint system...every time a pirate pops up randomly on your screen, be quick and shoot him for an extra hint. At the end of the game I still had 139 hints left ! The mini games were on the simple side, but I find that sometimes the simple ones turn out to be the best. At the end of each episode you get to view all the evidence collected along the way. A nice little extra !
There was very little dialogue but the voices were excellent and easy to listen to, unlike in some games where they are either irritating or are terribly bad. I loved Jacque's voice with his faint accent and pleasant tone. The dialogue was skippable if preferred. I never skip dialogue whether spoken or written, I think it is necessary... to carry the story along and "fill in the blank spaces".
The locations were always clustered in a small village setting so traveling back and forth was easy and the simple map showed where you had been and what was left to find there. It was not necessary to be anything more than just that. The scenes were nice and crystal clear which helped greatly in finding those well hidden objects. The colors used in the graphics were somewhat dreary in most scenes but it worked because it depicted very well the feel of that particular time in Europe's history (IMO).
The storyline was more so a mystery game rather than an HOP/Adventure I think, even though it contained all the elements of such. Golden Trails 3 is a great SE game offering extras that we love without the higher price. There were many trophies to earn, special items that earned you extra play/points. 3 hidden items to find in each scene to complete a collection of 150. And those pirates to shoot for extra points. Also, there is a timed Unlimited Mode as your bonus chapter, that was earned with a required amount of points during the game.
The ending of the story was quite a surprise and for once it was just right! Endings are my pet peeve...always so abrupt or just plain stupid ! But not the case with this one. This one wrapped up Jacque's mission appropriately.
The Golden Trails series is quite entertaining. There were no monsters or evil wizards showing up, ready to destroy anything that moved. Good, clean fun that everyone can enjoy. Certainly worthy of 5 stars.
God Bless...

In this continuation of Witch's Legacy, Julia Sanders travels to her mother's home town of Sallenville, searching for information for a book she wants to write. Beatrice has a frightening memory of her father sacrificing his own life to save her and her mother. Something happened that turned her father into a creature and we don't know much more than that at the start of the game. I'm not going to spill the beans and spoil the fun for you, so off you go to get all the answers!
The adventure begins with Julia disappearing soon after her departure to Sallenville. Her kids Nicky and Jack attempt to find her and another "member" of the family, Bertha offers her assistance. Bertha can turn into a ferret and becomes the helper in the story. So the three of them are off to the rescue !
The ferret helper is so cute, especially when wearing a hazard suite to retrieve Julia's car keys from a frog in some real stinky water. Many gamer don't like helpers, but I happen to enjoy them quite a lot.
Sallenville is very creepy. It is dark and empty of life as we know it. Almost everything is enchanted and animated with a sinister look about them. The town is oozing with a big, bad feeling of witchery. Click on everything as you travel around and you get a reaction or some creepy dialogue from some of the "inhabitants".
I think the animated objects were so artistically done. I just love that kind of stuff and will probably spend too much time just ogling the weirdness of everything. That right there is worth the cost of admission for me ! The graphics were excellent, sharp and clear and the colors were very suited to the theme of the game. Color is always very important IMO.
There is a good map which I always hope to find in a game and also a journal. I used the custom mode and tried a couple of the others, just to see the difference. It's always fun to play with a new challenge. The hint and skip options worked very well and there were no tech problems, except that loading between scenes was slow.
There is much to do with lots of broken things to repair, even some stitching and minor potion recipe The puzzles were of average challenge, I did skip one having to do with lighted color tiles. They were all creative, but won't make you crazy trying to solve them. The HOGs were interactive and multi-layered. One early in the game had a couple of puzzles within it and I especially liked one where a special looking glass is used to find invisible demon items. There were also some minor puzzles where you have to find a certain number of nicely hidden items to complete the picture.
I thought the ending was just okay, as usually is the case with all the games. Or maybe my expectations are just a little out of whack !! Overall this was a very entertaining game for me especially with all the animated objects and the quest at hand. The storyline was good and easy to follow, the characters were nicely done and the voices all sounded normal enough. In some games I've played the voices were either laughable or irritating.
With the game modes offered here, everyone should be able to play without struggle...and you can change the difficulty while playing. IMO this is a 5 star SE game.
God Bless....

The population of Universe City is dwindling down, one accident after another....OR is something else going on here ?? Sarah, our investigative journalist will get to the bottom of it. She visits her father one evening after he calls. After her arrival, an explosion suddenly occurs and her father is injured. They both end up in hospital, but Sarah is uninjured and leaves, continuing her quest to solve this mystery. While in the hospital, I was very suspicious of Jacob's doctor. She seemed like a baddie to me. Only time will tell.
Her father and his assistant told her about a mystical bracelet that can prevent these accidents from happening. The bracelet was previously owned by Avey who lost it when she was in an accident. So now Sarah is armed with a tool that can foresee accidents and hopefully prevent the death of others. I found using the bracelet so frequently to be very annoying, even though each deadly thing she encountered was very interesting and some of the ways she eliminated them were unique. She and Charles set off chasing monsters and it has given us, what I think is, an entertaining game with an unusual story.
If you love dogs, you will love Uni. She is so adorable and her movements and mannerisms were so life-like. The devs really got it right. I enjoyed watching her antics, so that right away was a plus for me. The characters and the pet were done especially well IMO and the voices (to my ear) were very good as was the lip-sync. Far better than most other games I have played.
The graphics were sharp and clear and colored with mostly blues and purples. Many developers over use these colors, I think, but in this game they don't diminish the quality of the picture. Although many things made absolutely no sense to me and some activities were silly IMO to accomplish what needed to be done, it was still an above average storyline which held my interest. I'm always anxious to solve weird mysteries, especially when adventure and the supernatural are mixed in with it.
There were not a substantial amount of extras in this CE, but I found the strategy guide helpful when I was stuck on breaking the lock code at Charles' place. It involved flowers and numbers and I felt stupid, but my brain was in no mood to cooperate !! I saw that several gamers weren't exactly thrilled with this game, but I thought it had a different twist to it and it was fun. I think beginners can easily enjoy it and it will probably be no "pull your hair out" challenge for the more advanced players, but at my skill level, I was enjoying a good challenging game. 5 stars will do for this one.
God Bless....

Secrets of Easter Island begins with a lot of action and tasks to take care of right away.. The entire game moves along at this fun, busy pace. The story takes place on this remote, well known island and has an ancient alien theme. I was reminded of War of the Worlds when the monoliths were moving about, firing away with their "other world" destruction rays.
The big, up-tight golem is very angry after being imprisoned in a volcano for far too long, by the way he's snuffing everybody out. Here he comes! Ready to destroy anything that moves! The Seekers are on the scene to eliminate him, but need to call in extra recruits from other worlds to bring the big guy down. It is quite a good game and the sci-fi element made it extra special for me. Love sci-fi games, wish Big Fish had more of them.
Labyrinths of the World usually bring us very entertaining stories and this one did not disappoint. The graphics and color were excellent, the voices were really good, the dialogue was easy to follow which is a plus since I never skip over the dialogue whether spoken or written. There was a good amount and variety of HOGs. I like the newer types that have been showing up in the more recent games, they provide a little more challenge. The games were playable in either easy or hard mode. I tried in both modes and there is a significant difference but even though they present a good challenge, they are not impossible. The easy mode is almost too easy. I enjoyed the feature of being able to choose. After fumbling around with a couple of difficult games and solving them, I felt a little smarter than usual. Victory went to my head for a while ! (lol)
Easter Island is a good long game even without the CE extras and bonus chapter. I bought the CE because it was loaded with collectibles, morphs, achievements, etc. I love the extra challenge of keeping my radar up for all these things while trying to concentrate on the game itself. I think you can't go wrong with the SE, which is my preference, unless the CE offers a big bunch of goodies.
I really think all levels of gamers will be satisfied with this latest installment from Labyrinths of the World.
God Bless....

The little guy needs time away from his computer and vacations with his Grandpa Joe discovering a different kind of fun. The dialogue between the two is humorous and when they have something to say to YOU they will address you by name (nice little added touch). Grandpa teaches Tom to help on the farm with various jobs and together they accomplish upgrades and improve the farm with an important goal in my. Watching the characters with their tasks is part of the fun>
I love tending to the crops and watching them grow. Refurbishing the property and adding necessary things to beautify and make it more productive also added more market value to the farm. It is just a very delightful game that includes easy hidden object s along the way, great match 3s with very colorful boards that become more challenging as you progress....has a couple of very cute ways to remove your matches from the board. Grandpa is there adding
up the SS as customers carry off their purchases.
Farmscapes is a marvelous game that I have replayed numerous times because it is so relaxing and delightful. Simple games sometimes turn out to be the most entertaining. I also own Barn Yarn and all the Gardenscapes. You cannot go wrong with any of them, they all offer the same fun and refurbishing /decorating theme. Can't praise them enough.
More games like this are needed. Farmscapes is worth every penny of its cost and of course is a great coupon purchase. The replay value is wonderful, too, as you can return each time and use different decorations, upgrades and crops. Its a lovely game for all ages, especially family friendly and fun for the young ones to play alone. An excellent addition to your collection, for a relaxing time down on the farm.

I love this delightful game with a Christian story that most people are familiar with even if they have not read the Bible. It saddened my heart to read the negative statements in the reviews.
Noah's Ark was a refreshing change from the usual doom and gloom games we play every day. I thought the dove and The Holy Spirit were nice little additions with their subtle message. I really enjoyed the game with its collecting and building and again learning something of Noah's great achievement.
The game was nice and relaxing, the boards were bright and colorful, and the few power-ups worked well. Sometimes simple is a very good thing...it was a fun game that I greatly appreciated.
There was a notice at the beginning of the game that it would run slowly on Windows 10. However, I had no problems with that or anything else while playing on my Windows 10.
I think Noah's Ark is a nice game for all ages, especially good for children/family.

In the demo I learned that Victor Gray performed some very unethical experiments with his talents as a scientist. He resurrected his wife from the dead and has given us this entertaining game.
The game starts with Stacy disappearing and your search for her takes you to the strange, evil-shrouded Graywitch Village. She touched a couple of items while talking to someone outside The Village Gates and suddenly, poof, she was gone with only her aura trace left behind. Her having performed some kind of ritual on a deserted street just inside the gates is somehow involved. Thus, your search begins.
The game modes include casual, advanced, hardcore and custom and skip puzzles. There are achievements, collectibles, morphs, doll collections, puzzle pieces, secret room, archives and bonus chapter. None of the items were especially hard to find, but that didn't take away from the fun...and the fact that this is a worthy CE game.
There was a good amount of HOGs in the demo with average challenge. Each HOG had a different style and I liked the variety. I encountered quite a few puzzles which were not extremely challenging and they were creative and the instructions were easy to understand. The inventory was always full and a returning spirit always brought useful items to help in the search for Stacy. The jump map was great and the hint actually worked the same way.
The story was a little confusing with the time travel and by the time I figured it out, my demo time was up. So I am anxious to get back to Graywitch Village. I am sure the game will be very active with no danger of becoming dull. The puzzles, HOGs and storyline indicate a good game awaits. The story moved along at a good pace with no tech problems. I hope the bonus chapter is a good extension to the tale.
The graphics were a little on the dark side but the colors were appropriate for the scenes and added to the bleakness of the story. The voices were very good, as was the lip-sync.
I was very busy and happy during the demo play...the time seemed to fly, which is always a good sign. My demo ended with Stacy being snatched up from her jail cell and carried out the window. So by all means, I have to finish the story and will purchase when a good sale arrives.
I think the game should appeal to all levels of gamers. Also there are no hideous monsters or bloody scenes, if those are deterrents to anyone.
God Bless....
I recommend this game!

I played the trial version and was pleased with the amount of extras I encountered in my limited time...achievements, collectibles, puzzles pieces, picture pieces for the diary, morphing objects, a special amulet, a monster trap, a time accelerator, a handy Keeper's Tool. Quite a list plus there was a match game to play instead of HOGs if preferred and of course a bonus chapter. I thought the creatures were silly looking but they still were effective in their roles. The graphics were dominated by hues of pinks and blues and were foggy with little brightness in any of the scenes.
The few puzzles in my trial time were fun and not very difficult. The HOGs were interesting and had a unique twist to them. I really enjoyed them! I appreciated the dialogue between the characters and the voices were very good. Except for the loading between scenes taking a bit longer than usual, the game ran very smoothly. It was an intriguing storyline and was easy to follow and moved along at a good pace. There were 4 play modes and the hint and skip functions operated well. I chose the easy mode for the trial version, to quicken the pace and the hint and skip reloaded in 10 seconds.
It is a very busy fantasy game and I think it will please many of you. I had fun with it but not sure whether I will be purchasing. Cannot say why exactly, but something was missing to make me want to add to my collection. I do recommend for all levels of players.

I beta tested this game and really enjoyed it. I am happy that it is finally available to us. I loved the paranormal involvement and using the special glasses. It made the story very interesting and kept me wanting more. The very reliable reviewers ahead of me pretty much mirror my opinion of the game...and I do agree that there was an over abundance of puzzles and it took too much time away from the story. Hopefully the entire game is not like this.
The games/puzzles were excellent, very creative, I had to skip one of them which I hate because it feels like cheating. The HOGs were wonderful, hope there are many more waiting for us. They were multi-layered and very interactive which I totally love. My favorite kind! The graphics and color were perfect...this developer always does a superb job in this area. It adds so much depth to the story. The characters were done extremely well and their facial features and body movements were not stiff and robotic. Everything just had a more realistic look to it and the villain's features were oozing with evil. The extras were good though I did not experience many of them in my beta time. I always look forward to the collectibles, morphs, achievements, etc. Love challenging myself. The bonus chapter is another goodie that I enjoy.
I love the Mystery Tales and own them all. I will add this one to my collection when there is a good sale. I wish the CEs were not so expensive, I buy them mostly for the strategy guide many times. It would be nice if they were included in the SEs as well. Alas, such is life! Overall, this was very entertaining and the CE offers lots of goodies. I think 5 stars is a worthy rating.
