Even with many 5 star reviews, I know to test games vs. go by the reviews because sadly I just can't trust them anymore. Honesty is the best policy especially when people spend money to purchase these games only to be very disappointed with the outcome. Take advantage of the trials! Maybe the games get better as they progress, but generally you can sense the direction with the 60 minutes the trials provide you to play.
Graphics were poor and boring and too bright, but did offer gamma. Characters were cartoonish, wooden and childlike. Tasks, games and hidden object games looked like old development. Downright dull over all! Nothing new or interesting. Child like teens (counselors) at camp with poor dialogue, bad voice overs and horrid monster designs. Not even close to an adult game.
At about 22 minutes into the trial, I was done with it. It must have sensed it because it froze up on me with a message with a lot of zeros and best that I could capture was bfgclient.exe app error @...….744Feos ref memory Ox...….4 and I had to delete out of the game!
I don't recommend this game.

With all the talent out there how did this game even get accepted by Big Fish! What is "Dapper Dan" doing in the West. Why does he suddenly acquire "Cowboy" speech? And who dressed him? Why are some of the store signs and object identifiers like on burlap bags spelled backwards? Graphics are plain boring, characters are wooden, story is just confusing. Mayan in the Old West...doesn't make sense. Poor script, poor voice overs, poor, sad game. I'm just glad that we can take a trial run to see what we think. I lasted 10 minutes and that was 5 minutes too long!
I don't recommend this game.

Graphics were not the quality I enjoy, some dark, some light and some muddy, however scenery and locales are well detailed. The characters except for eyes and mouth are wooden, but on the plus side they were well crafted otherwise. Hidden object games were interactive and a bit dark, but objects were mostly clear. Mini games! UGH! turn left, turn right, storybook to reveal with some items hard to find so lots of clicking and then when a game repeated 3 times I called it a day...find symbols on the wall and pillars to match accordingly with hanging chain symbols. I didn't want to face a potential forth. Also the old tired broken zipper. Find some new and innovative minds to work on development and especially story line and dialogue...doesn't anyone have an imagination? Get rid of the lazy storybook themes and laughable games that are just old and over used. As far as the story it didn't pull me in either.
I don't recommend this game.

Graphics are okay, gamma option a plus. Characters are wooden except when speaking and that is in synch. Story line is old and boring. Constant Mini Games break continuity and are just time consuming. Hidden Object games are few, super short and extremely boring. I thought this was a HIDDEN OBJECT GAME? Guess I was wrong! When are developers going to think outside the box and do something new and innovative versus dig up old stories, concepts and dull old repetitive development that is lackluster and boring. Another game with too much back and forth, boring tasks, and nothing new or surprising. First appearance of THE monster...sad sack attempt to surprise and poorly designed. UGH.
I haven't purchased many games lately and this one is an example why. If I can't manage to make it through a trial run and say hey this is pretty well done and I want to see what else happens or I want to continue to see the beautiful graphics, great dialogue and interesting story, I won't waste my time or my money. Too many old, tired and repeated stories lately when all should have been put out to pastures years ago.
I don't recommend this game.

For a new developer this was a sad introduction with a story book and cartoon characters. The graphics are dark and dreary and I don't mean that kindly. All I did was run back and forth to complete little tasks and when I realized I was going to make a kite it was time to call it a day. Little sense in task development and sadly boring. I found nothing that intrigued me to play, but wanted to give it more time. Could see from the start this is not a forward moving game. By the way, after 15+ minutes of play there are NO HIDDEN OBJECT GAMES or Mini Games. Just boring back and forth tasks and dreadful graphic design that I call gritty and dark with some detail, but could be better. Characters are poorly crafted with a sad try to have voice automation. I tried to give it a fair test, but once inside the house, I called it a day. Not worth my time or effort to explore this one further. Go back to the drawing board, fix the characters, fix the dialogue and create a forward moving game with some interesting Hidden Object Games. I couldn't even complain about Mini Games because they are non-existent. Give it trail run to see for yourself.
I don't recommend this game.

This started off with hope it would move forward. Great graphics, good attention to detail, décor and character attire. Then the games started and never stopped. Then some of the tasks that should have been mini games required use of numerous hints as well as use of the strategy guide to complete. That was more than annoying because you had to complete them or you couldn't move forward! When the next task was instructions to manufacture a caduceus, that was enough for me. Nothing but games! Little story. This is an old tired story line with lots of mini games thrown in to take up time and destroy any continuity and forward advance that would have make the game enjoyable. I didn't even finish the trial. Lasted about 10 minutes before calling it a day! With all the great qualities I still can't recommend this one. Not a Hidden Object Game...It's a Mini Game, game! Oh, almost forgot the storybook misplaced items game with gruesome pictures!
I don't recommend this game.

Graphics are excellent. Scenery, décor, attire and characters are well developed with great attention to detail. I have to say this was a very graphically appealing experience and I enjoyed each room and looked forward to the next one.
Voice overs are good except for the "bad guy" he was sort of over the top so far, but then he isn't a good guy, right?
The story moves forward with interesting tasks, well designed hidden object games and some new mini games that are actually interesting and some great new visuals!
But SIGH still a few of those old, tired redundant mini games OH NO! The lock game and the yarn game (send them to the heaven of tired games please). Thank goodness for SKIP!
However, with the excellence and attention to detail and move forward theme, I will consider purchasing this one to see who done it!
I recommend this game!

Graphics are excellent and Gamma allows a player to adjust color preference! Introduction was nicely crafted. I enjoyed the story as well as the switching of characters. Even with switching characters the developers were able to maintain a strong continuity.
On a very positive note, they changed Richard's appearance and voice, which is a lot better and no longer cartoonish. Good job developers!
The story maintained my interest, inventory items sometimes were actually used in the same room instead of making me run back and forth. I like a forward moving game like this.
Wasn't so sure about the creatures in the stone that another faction possesses and plans to use against the Detectives. Apparently this new faction has the ability to move back in time, too. Guess I'll have to purchase the game to find out what happens and how the Detectives overcome this new faction with special abilities.
Hidden Object games are well designed, a couple of dark corners but an abundance of well-crafted items.
Only negative are the Mini games, not a fan of them anyway, but really dislike the ones that requires switching items and as you do it changes other moves. OLD and BORING! Find some new, innovative games. Tired of time consuming games that seem to run a player around in circles.
Other than the Mini Games I recommend this game!
I recommend this game!

I like the fact there is an option to adjust gamma as well as I thought to skip puzzles, but you can only skip puzzles on casual and advanced NOT CUSTOM. I found that annoying! I detest waiting a long time for a hint to recharge and especially a long wait to skip a puzzle I don't even want to try. I like a move forward game and found these issues frustrating!
Anyway, there were too many mini games for my taste and too much back and forth and way too many inventory items.
Just lost interest waiting. Also for some reason, I didn't care for the graphics. They were sort of dreary and drab even with color. I found this game boring and didn't finish the trial.
You might like it, but I'm not purchasing it.
I don't recommend this game.

Graphics are rather bright, many pinks and purples, or dark and unclear and often lacking in definition.
Characters are well-crafted and voice overs are well-done.
I guessed what would happen from the beginning of the trial, but you might not.
The tasks are back and forth and the graphic color soon became a bit too much for me.

Hidden Object games are well crafted with a variety of items, interactive, but I got tired of clicking on several items to find the one I needed.
Mini games do not take up too much time and are doable.
Overall, a nice game that did move forward, but for me the graphic colors and the back and forth game play just wasn’t enough for me to purchase this one.
I suggest a trial run to see how you like it.
I recommend this game!
