So glad to see another Jewel Match! They haven't made any major changes except with the map and how you can pick what you'd like to build next. Nice touch, I like it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars for the visual is that the gems are quite large, but some are so similar in color it takes a while to get used to. Great game for a long weekend.
I liked the game, played it in it's entirety. But I would've liked a bit more challenge. I also would've rather had a map or achievements to go with the 3 skulls completed on each round.

I love this series. I was so excited when I saw this come out today, I bought it right away without previewing. It was a little difficult at first to make sense of the different icons. After a while it became easier..
I was kind of disappointed .with what was offered.. You have to buy each plant as it becomes available. Your first garden is gonna be a mess! You have to buy ground cover in 10's. but they do give you lots of points for completing your "tasks" which are buying each plant as it becomes available..
It has most of the plants and ground cover of the previous games. I do have to say I am really bummed that there are no water features at all. No ponds, fountains or rivers to make. There are also no structures. No wells, gazebos, trees, or anything. other than plants and ground cover. There are a few Christmas features, but nothing really exciting. There are the statues from Queens Garden II, but you still can't turn them 180 degrees.
I have finished all 120 games. I have over 200,000 points.. I guess now I go back and get rid of stuff I don't want and replace with something else. It won't be water! I don't think I will need to play another match 3 to finish the garden!
You need to play all 120 games to reveal all extras, which includes the ability to play the sixth garden.
Over all, it was Okay...It seemed really lack luster for a game I've been waiting years for! The snow covered all of the plants to the point where you couldn't tell what was there. I would have liked to make the snow appear when I wanted, rather than having to get rid of it all the time.
I don't usually rate games until I have finished it in it's entirety. but I thought I needed to speak up after all of the really low comments for this game. I love this series and think this is a nice, new fresh addition to it.
Think Hunger Games with portals.
I really liked it. You can choose your character and story line. Lots of choices to make in game play.
You really need to pay attention to details for most of the mini-games. They were not hard if you noticed the clues provided.
HOPS where varied and interesting.
As always, I recommend you try it for yourself. IMHO, I think it is an interesting game with a new story line and great game play. I would decide for yourself before writing it off due to the reviews.
Loved it all. Great continuation of the story. Not too easy, not too hard. Love the map, graphics and game play. If you like others in the series and the Lost Lands series, you will most likely enjoy this too!
