I loved the first Nevertales - it was a bit cheesy, but it was really fun! Parts 2 and 3 didn't impress me as much, but they are really good games, no question about it.
You've got some good old matchy puzzles, but also a lot of cut scenes (if you like that kind of things) which makes the game very adventuristic.
But what really makes these Mad Head Games special is the music. Honestly, the reason why I want the CE, even if I am not too impressed by the game, is because of the soundtrack that I get in the end. The voice overs in this game were great too (I didn't really like Gears all that much, but all the others were top notch).
I recommend this game!

I agree with all the excellent reviews, I'll just add that for me this felt like somebody really cared about the players.
I don't like playing games where the developers make a game just to have a game out there.

This game is so artsy - the colour palettes are obviously carefully thought out, the detail in some of the scenes is just ridiculous (positive), the music is a whole new level of style and class, the new ways of doing the HO scenes... it is really something everyone should try at least once.

I have never reviewed a game before, but I simply had to share my opinion on this one, as I see that it has few reviews, and they are incredibly good - WHY?
The sound effects were molesting my ears, the graphics were good, I guess, but the artwork, the coulour palette and the overall LOOK of the game s just so smudgy and lazy and under-thought...
I see that they were really trying to make it eerie and challenging and all that, but it was mostly just annoying and strenuous, and I found myself actually waiting for a segment to just go by already - so that I could see if anything better happens next - IT DOESN'T.
Mostly you're just going from one confusing task to the next (going back and forth A LOT), and that's it.
I don't expect too much from HO Adventure games, but this is just absurd!
