I've been playing games for a very long time. . .I used to play and review many, many games here at bfg. . .I've been back for a couple of months and have been very pleased with a lot of the games I've been buying and playing here, this third installment of League of Light ranks right up there as one of my "new" faves !!
I'll leave the technical reviewing to sunnyglow, whom I must say, has very similar taste in games with me, which makes those reviews, for myself, very helpful and I usually seek out those reviews for the few years of games I missed when I was gone !

Very quickly, I'm happy to have my little buddy back, but I also really appreciate that the devs have given us the option to use the helper or not !!! I really hope other devs take into account, not everybody enjoys the little animal/magic helpers we get in the games. It's the same as experience levels, most hardcore gamers like to use the custom setting to make the game run the exact way they enjoy it. And most of the bigger devs have listened and now offer that amazing "custom" button !
So I have really enjoyed this game, it's even better with all the little extras given to us by the amazing devs, making it "my game" !! Thanks for listening to my little "rant" !! Rant over, now back to your regularly scheduled gaming !

Based on full SE play...
I really really love this game...and for all intents and purposes,I shouldn't !!
!st- It's a FROG(fragmented object game) and I don't like those?? But after playing this,I must say,I'm going to give them another look !!
2nd- It's a Fairy Tale sort of game and in the past I've played soooo many,that I've tired of the happy,happy type fairy tales...But this isn't a happy,happy fairy tale type,it's dark and brooding and I loved it !!!!
3rd-It's puzzle heavy...although I played every puzzle and did fine,no walkthrough or hints...so I'm ok with that too ...
It was a great story twist on the fairy tale and the graphics were outstanding !!! As were the voices and music !! The cutscenes were great too !!
So my over all thoughts are this is a really good game...and to be honest,I've been tossing it back and forth in my head about buying it and when I saw it as a daily deal for 2.99,I snatched it right up and started playing it !!! I actually played this all in one sitting !!! I don't usually do that,I have several games going at a time and I bounce back and forth between them until I've finished them all...But this one grabbed hold and wouldn't let go,I gobbled it all up at once and kicked myself for not having tried it in the year it's been out until now !!
So I say give it a try on demo and see if it's for you,then take advantage of the daily deal and enjoy this dark,dark treat for yourself !!

I played this one a l o n g time ago and recently replayed it...Great fun,but not so much challenge,just a nice rainy-day play...
For me,going back to already played scenes to get items for scenes that are upcoming is great fun and I honestly dont remember getting one repeat object the whole game !!
Like I said in my title,great twist and it really was,I loved the characters and the way the story flowed... wonderful,clear graphics and awesome HOSs and just right mini-games... All in all a great game for the money !!

Review based on full version play
I was a fan of Margrave Manor a few yrs back,just a plain(LONG) HOG,then I saw this-Wow I loved it !!! It is a wonderfully put together game,a complete package so to speak !!!
Beautiful,crisp graphics,deep,addicting storyline,I felt like I really cared about Edwina and her quest to find Tom...I loved the characters she met on her journey through the Cyclopean(did I make up a word ?? lol...) town,I wanted to help her as best and as much as I could...All of that equals a complete package in my gaming eyes !!!
The puzzles were just right,the HOSs were perfect,the Rudo(hint) button was a huge help to be sure I was on the right trail or to help me adjust and get to the right trail ....don't forget to collect all of the strawberries for a special treat !!! It was addicting and a very long game,well worth the price
... I absolutely loved everything about this one ...BRAVO BIG FISH and INERTIA SOFTWARE !!!,give us more !!!!

I don't get into the whole "vampire" thing that's going on these days, but this game was just a funny ride from beginning to end, I didn't want it to be over !!!!
The graphics are top notch,the storyline is amusing and original,the voice acting is really good and fits the characters...I love her sarcasm,she has some of the funniest lines I've ever heard in a game !! map is very helpful and hints recharge pretty fast !!!
I have to say this one made me laugh out loud a couple times and I love the title song, it's really a good listen !!!
I have to say play this game, even if you're not into vampires,its a really enjoyable game !!!
I'm really hoping for part 2,so I can find out what happens...you can tell the creators put massive time and effort into this one !!

This is one of those games that just surprises you and you end up having just a really fun gaming experience !! It was funny,not a bit scary...teens would like the characters... the mini games were fun and helped move the story along... The HOS were just the right challenge for this sort of fun game,I did use the hint button a few times and I like having to move curtains back or opening closets and hidden safes , that sort of thing... You end up just really liking the characters and the story line is cute,I would totally say "PLAY THIS GAME"... good graphics and music and the voice acting was not so bad ...

I recommend this game!
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.

I'm a huge MCFs fan !!! I love them all !!! This is such a great addition to the "family" !!!
It's all been gone over in the 4 hundred some odd reviews already submitted,so I'm just gonna say a few things...
!st- What a crazy unique story !! I love the insanity of Charles,our nemesis,in order to understand his lunacy we should walk a mile in his shoes...Well we get to go more than a mile,lol !!! Victor is back,albeit not much and what would Ravenhearst be without Emma,Rose and the twins !!! And in my opinion what makes this one so original is the way our ghostly ladies help us out !! We don't get the normal HOSs,we get MOSs !! We have to find morphing objects,not hidden objects !! Well there is 1 HOS and it's in a childrens magazine akin to Highlights !! Which is exactly where I learned to LOVE hidden object hunting !!! A fitting tribute,in my opinion !!
As always with MCFs the graphics are outstanding !! As are the voice overs !! The cut scenes are top-notch and of big film studio type !! The music is perfect and fits the game ...
I had to use the walk thru a couple of times and had I bought the CE I wouldn't have had to,but alas,I couldn't afford it at the time I bought the game,so rather play than miss it I found the walk thru...and yes it was a great walk thru !!!
Not much left to say other than give it a try,play the demo and you'll see,as with all the other MCF games,it's well worth the money or credit,whichever you're using !!

I couldnt wait to buy this game...I had to wait to purchase it,but had to wait because of the new MCFs game...so I waited and finally was able to get it !!

This is a gorgeous game and I tried it because of the many positive reviews...But it is a FROG and I don't do frogs very well,I can't find half of the pieces lol...
As far as graphics go,the game is beautiful,the movies are top quality,as are the voices...
I recommend this for ppl that like FROGs and players looking for something new...

I own this game and I must say-I LOVE IT !!
You get to play a detective and you're examining a crime scene...And I mean really examining,like an actual detective does...You have a van equipped with your portable crime lab...You get to do different tests,those are your "puzzles"...You have a camera and you use it to photograph your crime-scene ,then to the van to upload your camera and analyze your evidence...then you put it all into your files and then you can link different pieces of evidence to different suspects or to different forensic evidence...
I felt like I was a real detective and it was my "duty" to find the who,what,where,when and why..Bravo big fish for a truly unique adventure game !!!
And if you enjoy this one there are 2 more "Crimes" to enjoy !!!
Give it a try it's worth the credit !!
