You will have hours of addictive fun and excitement with this game. I have several Hidden Object games. And this one is certainly one of my favorites. Great visuals. I do wish the music would change at some point but I find this being the only downside to this game. The mini-games are fantastic. I love, love, love the "Tile Swap Games" and the "Word Swap" using symbols instead of alpha letters. You have three special objects that you have to remember to find in most of the scenes and this helps to sharpen my memory. Plus each special object comes with a history about the object that I find very informative and revealing. I hope the developers make many more games similar to this one. Being a senior citizen, I love this kind of games. You won't be disappointed.
I recommend this game!

I have several of the Big City Adventure Games, but "Rome" is one of my favorites. The graphics are clear and beautiful. The music is very pleasant to listen to. And most of the mini-games are really enjoyable. What I like about this game is that most of the hidden objects are not real tiny. They blend in well with some of the color schemes, giving you some challenge in finding them. The "shield" which is in every game is sometimes very well hidden. But, the hunt is the fun part - right? You will have fun. This is a great "top choice" if you want to try a Big City Adventure Game. Also, the screen size is not real tiny either like some of them. I feel I got my money's worth and really enjoy this game a lot.
I recommend this game!

I can't say enough about this game. As others have said, you don't want to stop playing it because it is just that good. The graphics are outstanding, the music is excellent, the story line is short statements, you are challenged and rewarded without it being too difficult. This is good for us seniors. They went out of their way to make this game fun and entertaining. You have got to try it. You will not be disappointed. You will be so glad you did. Nothing dark about this game. Just great fun and rewards, as you build your new island. Enjoy!

I really like this game. I purchased it earlier today after viewing the demo. Like a lot of games it starts out a little on the easy side to get you use to the flow, then it get progressively more interesting. It is not so easy that I became bored nor was it so difficult that I wanted to give up. I think they found just the right balance. It has great action sounds and a story line that does not interrupt the game flow. It is challenging enough to make you want to keep playing so that you can reach the goal that will enable you to rebuild the island to its former glory. I do wish they had some mini-games earlier into game play. Because they do add more pleasure when playing these games and they also help to refresh you before going on. All in all, it is a great game that I would highly recommend. It is entertaining and fun, at least to some of us. I'm glad I purchase it.

All I can say is that you "will not" be disappointed. This one is one of the best in this series. Each background scenery is just stunning. The colors are vivid and just beautiful. They made it challenging just enough to enjoy the game regardless of your skill level. It is not too easy nor is it too hard. I have purchased a few of the HOG(s). This is one of my favorites.
I recommend this game!

When you play a game, you want to actually see yourself winning & being rewarded. This game does that and in a shorter period of time than a lot of games. No moving from room to room or dealing with lots of moving boards. Not a lot of pieces to try to remember what does what. Very beautiful castles & landscapes. Sparkling gems, great graphic design & sound effects as well as calming music. A little challenging in the upper levels but not so much that you lose interest. Love the three modes & 200 levels. No real "dark side elements" (wizards, sorcerers, demon figures) is a plus.
I recommend this game!

I was very disappointed when I saw Jewel Match IV contain "elements from the dark side" which made me very uncomfortable (i.e. various spells, magic, wizards and revelation help, using mana to charge spells). Even the desktop icon resembled the face of a gremlin or demon. For this reason I have decided to uninstall the game.
However, the game pieces and graphics are beautiful & the music is also beautiful and relaxing. I certainly hope a similar game will be developed but without the dark elements tossed in. Not everyone shares a passion for that type of product. I know I would be one of the first ones to buy a "new version of this game" and I am sure many others would too. I hope a new version comes out soon.
I don't recommend this game.
