Prepare for a mind-bending journey into the realm of the weird in Haunted Halls: Revenge of Dr. Blackmore! Brace yourself for the unexpected in this exciting Hidden Object adventure!
This game is Amazing! I knew 5 minutes into the demo that I had to have it... bought it immediately. So very different than any other HOA game I have ever played. Like I started to say, this game will suck you in immediately. It is Crazy Fun! The graphics are awesome. The voice over is fun just to listen to Dr. Blackmore's evil laugh. The HO's are black shadowed items to find. They don't jump out at you, so some can take a moment moment to find. The mini games are really different and although not too difficult, you do have to use your brain. There is no map which would normally drive me nuts, but with this game it would spoil the fun. You use your inventory quickly, and any back tracking you have to do is a short trip. This is my favorite game now. I have played for about 1 1/2 hours but I stopped to write this review. I am so excited to find that there are many Haunted Hall games, and you don't have to play them in any particular order. With Big Fish having so many super sales I will buy them all!
I loved this addition of the Dark Parables games. The story was great and Jack is Hot! It is one of those games that actually gets you so involved that it is hard to put down. The HO's are fragments which is a nice change from lists. The mini games are fun, but some are pretty difficult... I think better instructions of how and what you are supposed to do would be nice. My mind was set to find all collectables, and I did! The storyline was well done, but pretty predictable. I am happy I bought the Collector's Edition because the bonus game was equally as fun. Because I did have to skip 2 mini games, I knocked my skill level down from expert to intermediate. That alone sums up this game. I can't decide which Dark Parables game is better, this one, or The Little Mermaid and the Purple Tide Collector's Edition. I recommend you try them both!
Without warning, a group of mysterious figures arrives and reduces your village to flames and rubble. What do they want... and who is controlling them?
I didn't think I would like this game & almost didn't finish the demo but I hoped it would become a bit more challenging so I bought it. It is so well done & the story is really great... it's just way too easy. It is a very long game and would be fun to play with your son for a hour instead of a bedtime story every night for a week. Truly a babysitters dream. It is educational & fun, but It may be too scary for little ones. It is a fantasy with dragons and tons of adventure. Almost all of the games are so elementary, but the storyline and graphics took me to the happy ending. I wasn't disappointed that I spent the money on it. If you want a beginners game that is different than any other HO adventure game this is the perfect game. Very well done.
I bought this game during a buy one get one free. I wanted 6 games to get a free game because that's a bargain that couldn't be beat. The clock was ticking so I only played a few minutes of the demos & went mostly by reviews. Like my a 3 star rating says it was ok. There is nothing special to say about this game. I suggest playing the entire demo before purchasing.
It should have been a tremendous achievement, but the tunnel through the Ridge of Leviathan became the site of a great disaster. What really happened that day?
I got hooked on the "Surface" games after buying & playing "The Noise She Couldn't Make" & "The Soaring City" both games got 5 stars from me on everything. I had to have more so I bought "Surface: The Pantheon" and I felt like playing it was a form of punishment!!! It is so poorly put together that the storyline is lost immediately. Even with the map you are left chasing your tail, so much so that it was frustrating!!! When you come along HO's you will find that you have not gone far enough in the game to have all the hidden objects... some are in your inventory & the places you will find them are still locked! I had to use the hint button constantly which I rarely ever use. Having to use the hint button constantly is like cheating at solitaire... why even bother playing?!!! I could not force myself to finish this game as it was more irritating than fun. Definitely try the other "Surface" games I mentioned at the beginning, they are amazing!!!
I had high hopes for this game because Surface: The Noice She Couldn't Make & Surface: The Soaring City were the two best PC games I've ever played. Surface: Mystery of Another World was disengaging and disappointing. The storyline is lost almost immediately. Many of the HO's couldn't be completed when you came to one because you have either missed items needed or haven't played the game far enough to find them. The map was of no help & you are trapped chasing your tail by having to constantly return to previous places. The game has little if anything to do with the storyline. I thought it was just me, so I restarted the game to give it a fair chance. That confirmed it... this game was so poorly put together that I can not even force myself to finish it. Keep in mind, I have given every other "Surface game" a straight 5 star rating. The 2 games I mentioned at the beginning of this review are extraordinary, so Please, try and buy those instead.
I fell in love with Surface: The Soaring City, so I immediately bought every other "Surface" game. Elephant Games are brilliant!!! Surface: The Noise She Couldn't Make had me captivated. There is so much to do! The HO's are beautiful, but super simple. The mini-games can be tough, but they are so intriguing you won't want to skip any. I was seriously so into this game that I had to take a deep breath and calm down more than once. It's crazy when the characters turn into real people! It's like a game come true!!! The brains and artists at Elephant Games can not be outdone!!! If you want a game that you seriously can't stop playing this is the one to buy!!!
Surface: The Soaring City, is by far the most amazing game I have ever played. I truly think my heart stopped a few times while playing this mind blowing game. I was so hooked that I played it straight through while my hubby cleaned the house lol. Seriously, this game left me breathless... I immediately bought it & all other "Surface" games... You will too!
To save your father from a hideous monster, you've decided to sacrifice your own freedom. Now you must journey through a strange and magical land before time runs out!
I have played Big Fish games since the guppy days. My first HO game was Titanic. I loved it at first... then every game seemed to be a solid seek & find. SO BORED that I actually stopped buying games all together. I got back on Big Fish last month & the new HO games were actually adventures with so much to do. I have purchased 20 HO games since. They have all been fun, BUT, Queen's Tale: The Beast & the Nightingale is SPECTACULAR!!!! It is so beautiful and different that I couldn't stop playing. I rarely use the hint button, but when you do it doesn't give you the answer, it gives you a hint. The HOGs look simple but you still have to think sometimes. You can also change the HOGs to match 3 games that are a welcome change and fun to play. I still have a lot of the game to play and will probably think about this game while trying to fall asleep. You met some friends along the way & they stick with you & help you out. I love Weepie! You will too. Silly little girl makes you laugh out loud! This game is a must play, must BUY! Bravo Big Fish! :)
