I've not even finished my demo yet but this is a definite buy for me. I played on the middle of 3 levels. The cutscenes are compelling, voice-overs well done, and the storyline pulls you right in. When you were a child, 6 campers vanished from Sullivan River after bullying a fellow camper, who seems to have been helped by the trees (think: whomping willows from Harry Potter). In an attempt to restore your memories of that fateful day, you've returned to discover what truly happened there. The music adds to the ambiance without being annoying, there is a very cool interactive map, minigames are challenging (and skippable) yet not frustrating, navigation is easy, and progression very logical. The HO scenes are unique in that there might only be 5 objects for you to find, but each of them must be used in the scene to find another item on the list -- way more than I've seen in other games. If I had to find one negative it would be that minigames don't come with directions (but are straightforward enough) or help, and Hint button is inaccessible. But what really sold this game for me was the creep factor. . .it'll provide some shivers without being gruesome. The background sounds are just unnerving enough to make you smile and say, "Cool," and want to keep on playing. Fishies, this one's definitely worth a look. I'm looking forward to diving back in to Camp Sullivan River!
I recommend this game!

Get your virus to grow over the whole playing field, but watch out how many moves it takes to do it.

Virus 3 is an older game (2005) somewhat reminiscent of map puzzles where you have to avoid touching borders with the same color territories. You can choose triangles, squares, or hexagons for your grid, and either 5, 7, or 9 different colors. The object of the game is to 'grow your virus' so that it spreads across the game board as rapidly as possible. Sounds easy? It really takes quite a bit of strategy & planning to cover the board in as few moves as possible. If you're looking for mindless entertainment to while away time, this is not the game for you, but if you're looking for a game to take your mind off of something, this one fits the bill nicely. It's quite addictive and challenging. The music is tolerable for awhile but thankfully, also mutable. No frills here, just a good little game to exercise the noggin. Definitely worth a try; enjoy!

This game opens with a murder on the streets of New Orleans and you on the scene as a paranormal crime investigator to get to the bottom of it. Navigation is easy enough but if you get stuck, hints are plentiful. HOS took some searching but nothing was too difficult to find; in the demo I resorted to using a hint once because I was anxious to move along in the game. A bit of back & forth needed to progress through, but everything made sense. Mini-games were simple but a refreshing change from the ordinary. Creepy music & sound effects lend themselves to the story quite well without being annoying or intrusive. I would've thought in a game of this caliber that there would've been voice-overs; maybe that was a blessing in disguise (nothing's worse than bad actors with lame Cajun accents!). The demo ends suddenly with a cliffhanger that makes it VERY difficult to pass on buying the full version; give it a look & see for yourself! Since I'm reviewing only the demo portion, I'll edit this to include the entire game once I finish it -- which you can bet will be soon; I can't wait to dive back in! Enjoy!!
I recommend this game!

'City of Fools' is a non-linear adventure where you have to travel around a town talking to a wide variety of people, and everybody needs you to get them something. Thankfully a journal keeps track of everything for you! Music is redundant and slightly annoying, and character voices are reminiscent of Charlie Brown's teacher, but other than that, this game is very cool and pretty hard to walk away from :). Not your standard adventure or HO game at all. Within the hour demo you'll likely be hooked as I was, so if you've got some time to kill, give it a try!

Cannot believe this is a Daily Deal! If you like lots of challenging HO games, a creepy amusement park setting & sinister dwarf to pursue, gorgeous immersive environment, and some really good mini-games, this is a no-brainer purchase for $2.99. Other reviewers have compared it to Weird Park; I would agree but must add that I enjoyed Dreamland more. Game length was 3-4 hours and I liked earning the awards; encourages you to play again to better your previous game. Loved the shooting gallery!! I really have no negative comment about the game except that it's better played at one sitting so you can keep track of items you're searching for/needing to use in other HO scenes. The map is a big help in navigating around the game. Enjoy! :)
