Even after reading all the negative reviews, I tried the game. To my surprise I liked the game as it has a different spin than your regular HOG. It's a good memory game, as you have to remember where you saw the last needed object. I had no problems with this game other than when it first started I received a "JR" screen with garbled colors, but after that everything was find. Try the game for yourself, then draw your own opinions. I think it's kind of quirky, when it lets you know that "now is not the time to use this object." When you press the hint button, someone talks and then shows you a view of where it is located, but you still have to search for it on your own in that location. Try it you might like it.
I recommend this game!

I especially love the story, although kinda spooky. . . . it's still a gorgeous game. It's a real good hog, with spectacular graphics. Mini games are intermediate and there is alot to discover before you can release your friend from the clenches of Lockwood Manor. I bid you well ladies and gentlemen, during your adventure in unlocking the secrets of the "Mystery of the Ancients".

Yeh! DragonsEyeStudio! This game is Hot! Hot! Hot! Love the challenge, game play and the graphics are awesome. The characters are cute too. Seems different from your regular HOG. You move from scene to scene and interact with the objects (all helpful) in order to travel from one place to another. It's a whopping "5 Stars" for me, cause I'm lov'in it!
I recommend this game!

One of the original HOG's, but I'm stuck on the graphics, as they are very, very nice. The game play is "ok", but all in all a good "DD".
I recommend this game!

Imagine being trapped in a dingy, begrimed room, where chilling writings appear on mirrors and walls. A dark world that is in command of your life and creepy breathing forms appear. No spoiler here . . . . If you "must" play this game, please play with extreme caution. Ha! Ha!
I recommend this game!
