These devs are just the tops.... and this game is a completely new type of story. SO tired of the 19th Century gothic stuff, orphanages etc.. The graphics are the best - so crisp and clear - mini puzzles excellent - music great without being interfering - very good voices etc. All in all a very classy production. Good length too as am only on chapter two and loads more to go. These devs always have great addons too. When I see Mad Head - I buy...
Where have Blue Tea Games gone? Why do all the good devs get taken over by Eipix or Elephant. We need variety which is why I am so disappointed with this one. The last one was poor too and I so loved the older Dark Parables series. What a shame. Does anyone in charge ever read our reviews and take note??
This is an excellent game with loads to do, good length, good story and really good voice overs. The morphs and collectibles are finally difficult to find as some games just too easy. I am really enjoying this...
This is a brilliant game and much much better than the last Sable Maze game as I recall. Loads of very good puzzles, great storyline and I am thoroughly enjoying myself.
I love the dark parables but I think it would be better if they stick to fairy tales like Red Riding hood etc. Purple tide ?? Anyway, is it now just Eipix and Elephant who do games? They are great devs but can they do everything.? Where has everyone else gone?
Bought this straight away as the annual MCF had arrived. Yippee! Strangely I did not take as much enjoyment out of this game as I thought I would - and I wondered why. I have all the other MCF from the very beginning and they have been magnificent. There was TOO much talking and too many cutscenes and where are the morphing objects ? much missed i think. Also frankly without the map I really do not think I could remember where everything belonged as there was an awful lot of tooing and fro-ing which became a bit of a bore. The storyline was weak and not that interesting. Gameplay was good in that the multi-puzzles were really challenging and the HOPs too. Graphics were great. I think I will have another play at Dire Grove cos that was so good. Where have the original devs gone?. Elephant are great at what they do but they cannot be all things to all games or catch the special element of these great past MCF games.
Don't know what the other reviewers are talking about. This game is just fantastic. It has gone on to another level as there is a mixture of Taleworld and the real world which is really clever. The SG that people are complaining about is just brilliant as you have to do things on the computer. Am really pleased that the colours have been toned down. The card soldiers are really cool too. Everything these devs do is so amazing - the downside is that all the other games for me seem really same old same old and I notice that they all copy what these devs do too. Buy buy buy. Loads of extras too and the voices are great. Roll on the next one. Just brilliant. I also love the fact that we meet old foes and places and the music is very good as well which, for me, is important.
A fire breaks out during a concert, and now your daughters are both missing. Hurry to track them down – their music may hold the key to life and death!
I have only done the demo but this seems very old fashioned to me like one of the games I might have played 5 or 6 years ago. Yes that long !! Maybe I have played too many of them but there was nothing in this to make me want to go on further. I seem to remember liking the previous The Pianist very much. The most annoying thing to begin with is that there are only three difficulty levels. I chose the middle one because I cannot bear having to wait for 2 or 3 minutes to skip or hint. Frankly at this stage in the adventure gaming world there should be a custom mode. The very basic tutorial came on all the time which you could not delete. Irritating.. The graphics were pretty stiff and, well, old fashioned. Maybe I am jaded but with all the fabulous games out there from other devs this is a poor offering.
Without warning, a group of mysterious figures arrives and reduces your village to flames and rubble. What do they want... and who is controlling them?
These devs are THE MOST BRILLIANT and clever of all. Everything is superb: gameplay, story, excitement, music, graphics even the voices. And every time they come up with a new game there is something that id completely new in adventure gaming. I cannot praise this enough. Buy..
I'm sorry but this is not good. About 5 years ago ERS were at the top of the gaming world for this genre but they have not moved with the times. As everyone must surely know, the majority of people who play these games are NOT children. THerefore we all know lots about Leonardo and there should be some true facts in there. The graphics were amazingly good. Voices terrible, Story poor. I abandoned very shortly after about 15 mins which is another tip from a keen gamer that the opening sequence is extremely important. It is the first impression that draws you in or you leave. Please deliver a believable story even if it is in the past or future.
