I had to purchase this whimsical adventure game. I find it cute and challenging. This game does not spoon feed you every next step, you have to use your imagination, and trial and error. There are no hints, but the steps are logical once you figure them out. I am happy we are being offered different types of games by developers, after all, that is what keeps me interested in purchasing HOG/Adventure Games.
I recommend this game!

This game was so much fun for me to play. The mini games were difficult and challenging, but not to difficult to figure out with some thought. I appreciate being on my own in a game and don't like being spoon fed every next move. There are times I appreciate easy games as well, unfortunately we are rarely given a great game that makes us think anymore. I think developers are underestimating their clients and we should have more games like these. I would have enjoyed voices, but it really didn't bother me. I was so engulfed in this game and found myself playing when I should have been asleep. I can't wait for the next game to be released from these developers. I enjoyed every minute.
I recommend this game!

Shattered Image is right. I demo'd this game not that long ago and was so excited to play. Beauty Within was a winner for me. Sadly, I was quickly let down with Shattered Image. The fun factor was just not there. Gameplay was so slow and spending so much time on opening the window/door was boring. I just wanted the game to get going already. Graphics and visuals beautiful as always. Music nice and appropriate. Level of challenge, that's the problem. Everything is so easy, even on the most difficult of settings. I feel as if I have played the game before. I like the storyline and the continuing plot is appropriate for Nevertales. We waited and waited patiently for this game to be released. This fish will not be purchasing, CE or SE. However, I will be checking the forum to see if the game does get better, after the demo. Beautiful game and artistry. I have purchased every other game by MadHead. I do think MadHead Games deserves a second glance by me.

Ominous Objects: Family Portrait Collector's Edition is my new favorite! I do not give out 5 stars for every game I review. If I give 5 stars, I mean it. This is the first time I have ever bought a game after only 10 minutes of the demo. I am so impressed by this game! The puzzles are absolutely fantastic!! They were challenging and I don't want to skip them even if it takes me an hour!! I don't want to miss a second. HOG are different and fun. Graphics and music well done. I liked the plot, and although it is a not a new one, I feel it was very thought out. I have been so disappointed with the releases lately, I have been buying last years games. I try not to buy CE's anymore, but I could not wait. This one was right up my alley, and with the HUGE DEAL I was able to purchase it at an SE price. Made my day! Thank you BF !!! Thank you Daily Magic!!!!

This game could have been great. I absolutely loved the storyline and I liked the way we interact with the suspects to determine who is lying. What a great twist! Great responsiveness, hate lagging games that take time to load between scenes. I liked the music, seemed perfect for the plot. I did not like the cursor in this game. It was very large and pulsated through out game. Puzzles seemed very easy and were by no means a challenge. HOG's were standard. There were many times I was not sure where to go next into the game. I ended up using the hint button several times and don't like to do that. I like being absorbed by a game. Map was helpful. Hint button was also a transport button . I like this feature in games. I did not see any morphing objects but others have commented on these. Collectibles were stars and some were extremely difficult to locate. I am afraid this game may be very short. It is difficult to tell though because the demo had limits on what they would or wouldn't show us. Too bad because this is a factor for me to consider when purchasing a game. I did not feel I had adequate time becoming fully immersed into the game. It did not draw me in. I fear this may not happen in this game for me due to the length of the game. I will try the SE and see if I change my mind.

Is it me? Maybe I expect too much. I know Dev's spend so much time and effort in creating these games, and appreciate that, but this one missed the mark. I have several ERS games and have enjoyed them. This one did not have my attention. I was hoping the game would have gotten better as I played, but sadly I could not even finish the demo. Liked the storyline, although I was confused at first. Liked the quick responsiveness (hate lagging games). Liked that ERS veered away from the purples, I see I am not alone on this topic. Did not mind the animal helper, and seemed appropriate. Morphing objects were difficult to find which I like. I did not care for the puzzles/mini games. Too simplistic and no thought. I don't care for this type HOG (old school). I like adventure gameplay myself and do not like to get bogged down with a few minute HOS. Dev's are not making these very often, so I play HOGs, but enjoy when the HOS is quick (1-2 minutes) or is interactive. I do not like that if you already have an item and click on the zoom in area, it drops back into my inventory only for me to pick it up again. Items used were linear and there was no real challenge to figure it out. I will not be purchasing the CE or SE when it is released.
I don't recommend this game.

This game delivers!!! I have to say it is one of my top ten and I have played hundreds of these. I played the demo when it was first released and could not get into the story. I downloaded it on my Android recently and bam! I could not put it down. This game is engaging and has a great story. HOG's are a little too many for my liking. I loved the puzzles. Although some of them were tedious, I rarely skipped. I absolutely loved the bonus chapter. Wow, Blamgames read my mind. There is a transportable map pretty good considering when this was released. You do have to go through the journal to get to the map though, which was kind of pain. There is a SG which is awesome for mobile games. No glitches of any kind, no problems.This game is long and I love that. Especially when the game is good and keeps your interest during the game play. I loved this game so much I palyed it again after I finished it. Awesome job Blamgames!!

I played the full game on my Andriod. I like steam punk, this was a fun game. This is an easy game to play when you just want to have a fun afternoon. It is not difficult and you will not be scratching your head like MCF Fate's Carnival, or other games that keep you on your toes. Graphics were good (Artifex Mundi after all). Music good. The storyline familiar, but with a little twist. I wish the game had been a little longer, I played about 3 1/2 to 4 hours including the bonus game so not a very long game and I like to take my time and try not to skip puzzles. HOG's are interactive. I did have to skip a couple puzzles because they became tedious. Overall I recommend this game and always enjoy playing games from this developer, but this is not their best game I have played.

When my trial ended I was actually looking for the SG, bonus chapters and collectibles. To my surprise this is a stand alone SE. Definitely worth the price (especially at today's discount). I thought this was going to be the same old fantasy type of game as we have seen in the past, but to my surprise it was done very dark and not sugar coated candy. I absolutely loved the mother special effects and I had to laugh at the angry crow. Nice touch developers. You are searching to find answers about your mother with the help of your medallion. HOG's had a nice twist that I have not seen before. Puzzles are fairly easy and fun. Graphics were well done. Game was excellent on the fun factor. I love when developers try new things and this for sure is a hit. I don't know how long the game is, but for me a definite buy. Thanks Developers and Big Fish. Great game!!!

This game had no flow to it. The story didn't really make sense, maybe because you have to read the dialogue, and it wouldn't give you a chance to read all of it. I didn't like the slow cursor and even tried to change to the system cursor which didn't help. Could have been a good game, but just wasn't.
I don't recommend this game.
