I absolutely adore this solitaire game, literally everything about it.
At first, the story made me go, meh, but there were interesting twists on it that made me want to dig out my copy of Wrede's Mairelon the Magician or Sorcery and Cecelia (both books that I cannot recommend enough -- if you like the storyline in this game, you will love the book Sorcery and Cecelia, another Regency romance). The story ended up being very fleshed out and absolutely not cookie-cutter!!
The artwork is so stunning I actually set one of the scenes as my desktop background, taking the place of a longtime Doctor Who background. I did not think *anything* could make me give up a Doctor Who background! Throughout, the artwork is an absolute joy to look at and there is no scene that is not a masterpiece. I honestly would have paid extra for a collector's edition that gave me access to just the artwork in a folder, it was of such good quality.
The music is perfect for the game, light classical music that fits the time period and the tone of the game. It is soothing and lovely and there are no jarring pieces.
The gameplay is one of the best I have encountered in solitaire games, and I have tried *dozens*. The hard mode is actually *hard*, leading me to have to replay scenes several times, and I would rate my gameplay as expert by now. I love how the multiplier adds on, so if I get three combos, it adds all those multipliers, unlike other games.
My literally ONLY criticism of this game is that once you have bought the upgrade, mousing over it does not tell you what it does, requiring you either to wonder or to have a very good memory. But that is so utterly minor that I feel silly for mentioning it.
If you like solitaire, this game is the only one you will ever need. I cannot recommend it highly enough, and if the developers are reading this -- PLEASE put out a collector's edition with the artwork!!! I will rebuy the game as a collector's edition for it, I swear!
I recommend this game!

I can't give too indepth a review, because I have a strict rule for pathway games -- if I can't queue workers, I quit. I wish it were mentioned beforehand because I feel like it's an important part of gameplay, but this is why I always try the demos first.
It's a minor issue and one that may not be a dealbreaker for you, so I would definitely give it a try, but just in case it is, here's my warning.
I don't recommend this game.

I'm not a fan of two out of three types of solitaire games they had (I really only like the one-up, one-down kind, whatever that's called), I felt like the storyline was pretty meh and the gameplay was nothing special until we hit the Match 3 which was aggravating to the extreme. I could not get the pieces to move at all no matter what I clicked, and I definitely did know how to play the Match 3 game.
I do not recommend this game, there are way better solitaire games out there with a better story line and better visuals. The artwork for this was also pretty poor, nothing exciting.
I don't recommend this game.

When I started out, there was no reward for making bigger than three matches, and I was about to quit out of frustration, but I was tired and bored and kept playing for a bit and it ended up having it!
The artwork is stunning and the gameplay is a lot of fun. The storyline is OK, nothing too special, but I really like games where you restore places piece by piece. I just wish you could collect more than x pieces at a time, or that you could 'bank' them in some way -- say you can only collect, say, 1000 pieces in one go, but then you put them aside and can still collect another 1000 next time even if you haven't spent any. Otherwise it gets very frustrating when you keep playing for amulets and you're not getting any pieces. Also, the rate at which you get amulets is very slow, so the gameplay is (artifically) drawn out, which I dislike.
Overall, a good match-3 game.
I recommend this game!

At first, I thought this was a bit run of the mill, but it sucked me in to the point where I couldn't stop playing (whoops, accidental allnighter!) and I was definitely cheering by the end. I played casual and it was a long game, definitely, challenging at times, but the Hint was helpful and recharged quite quick, and the mini-games skippable.
I didn't like some of the background noise, but I'm very sensitive to sound, so mute was my friend, which is a pity because the music was very good and really drew you in further to the game. But once I got to the cave levels, the rock noises made the game unplayable unless I muted. That's very much a your mileage may vary, though, and again the music was top-notch.
The graphics were amazing, and the scenes gorgeous. I echo that some of the scenes were harder than maybe they should've been because of how dark they were (definitely want to have your brightness on "full" for this game!) but it was a visually *stunning* game.
I had to double-check that this wasn't a CE -- it absolutely felt like it was and would only need a little extra to make it one! Overall, I recommend this game heartily, and like I said, it does start a bit slow but give it a chance and you'll fall in love (much like Bella!)
I recommend this game!
