I was so excited when I saw Storm Tale 2 as Storm Tale 1 is one of my favorite games. They completely messed this one up though. I'm sure I'm using the wrong word here but they made it "3D". This made all of the graphics jumpy, not smooth. Before and after each level, the game had to load. The individual cells in the game were also larger so each game board was smaller, not as difficult (and I chose difficult). The sound effects were the one thing I would have loved for them to change from the first game, appears to be the only thing they didn't change. I played for about 30 minutes, hoping for... I don't know what... just couldn't take it anymore.

The storyline was okay... a little jumbled. Didn't have any extra objects to find other than those needed for storyline. Would have added interest and depth if they had. I had to turn off the voices. The characters tone was so opposite of the words, it was distracting. Challenges were decently challenging. I thought the HOPs were particularly creative. This was a B- when it could have been an A.
Loved it. I usually hate time management style (don't want to be timed and they are too repetitive). This was very different. Great mix of adventure, point-and-click, time management style (but without the timer), and strategy game. You have to use your brain on this one. It also reminded me of dungeons and dragons style slash/kill then treasure grab (without the stress of serious fighting or blood thirsty killing). Every action is started by the player. Take your time, go at your own pace. Some chapters were quite challenging to determine in what order you needed to go to solve it. Loved it. Cute graphics. This game will not hold your hand though... gotta figure it out. I enjoyed this game so much I wish it would just keep going.

Both the game and the bonus chapter are long and full bodied. As someone who plays a LOT of these games, I appreciated how it felt like a movie instead of a 1/2 hour show. This is Cinderella in name only... an extremely modified storyline. Know that going in. Cons: the girl you give the teardrops to can be a bit annoying Other than that, most of the mini-games were challenging and creative.

The beginning is story heavy, but be patient. This is not your usual hold-your-hand, cookie cutter hidden object game. The game creators are not big on giving directions... figure it out! LOL. What a refreshing way to play!! (PS. Turn off sparkles). There are parts of this game that are very old school... loved it. The entire game has a different vibe to it... can't quite put my finger on it, but the game grew on me, and I just enjoyed truly feeling I was playing a game, figuring stuff out, and not just clicking to get through.
Very, very rarely do you find a different point-and-click game on BigFish. I'm always on the look out for a game like this. "tiny and Tall" is reminiscent of games like: Royal Trouble, Mortimer Beckett, and honestly, games I tend to find on a different gaming site.
The sarcasm and storyline are great!! Thankfully, this game does not "sparkle" and "walk you through". You have to think and follow directions. But it is not ridiculously hard and the choices make sense (at least to tiny). There is a character (in every scene) that will give you a small hint, or the whole solution if you ask for it, so you won't get too stuck. You can also press the space bar to identify the items in the scene you need to interact with. The first scene is the most difficult, only because it takes a minute to understand what you need to do. Also liked how you can switch between the characters to accomplish tasks. The only con (and its a small one) is you have to walk a bit in some scenes, but thankfully they don't walk too slow, and about mid-game you get a map (when you actually need it). Absolutely recommend this game and hopefully, BigFish reads this review as well and gives us more unique games like this one.

The storyline was interesting (won't give it away), but between the length of conversations (on and on) and the way the game would pause between locations, scenes, miniscenes, etc, made it a study in patience. Wasn't the least bit challenging. Definitely won't buy.

Really great game because it is not your usually cookie cutter HOP. I play a LOT of these and I'm always looking for the "originals". Mini-games - they took it up several notches. This was my favorite part. Different, challenging, not your usual. They were thinking outside the box on these, but they are not so weird they are unsolvable. Especially loved the combination multi-step challenges.
Story took me by surprise. At one point I thought the game was over, simply by how the story was written (I bet you will too), when BAM! I was only halfway through! That made the game feel much longer than it probably was. Loved it. Extra chapter also went well with the original story.
Appreciated not having to jump back 4 or 5 scenes to complete a task. Nice surprise when I happen to have an item I will need (ex screwdriver before I find the screw). Also appreciate not having to unnecessarily click the X every time you find an object or close a mini-screen. You can click anywhere outside the box and it closes.
I wish HOP games would allow you to hold onto specific items throughout the game, such as the flashlight, lighter, hammer, scissors, etc.. Why would I put these items down after using them? I might need that item again. One of my favorite games had a set of lock picks to choose from on the many, many locks we find in every HOP game. Some of my favorite games were when I had like 20 items. Although it makes more sense to open a "backpack" to see all items at once when needed versus a list of 20 at the bottom to scroll through.

My only complaint is although the visual background quality is really good, the characters themselves look awkward and poorly animated. Reminds me of the original large file games (like early 2000s). I bet they can do much better.

I was looking for a game to use a free code on and came across this gem. Quirky, fun, good story line. Unusual mini games. You actually go back and forth playing both of the two main characters, each with their own inventory.
One of my favorite parts was his "lock picking tool" set instead of the standard "find a key to open ___". Those lock picks ended up in the oddest places! (you'll understand when you play). It always got a chuckle when I found one.
The game length was good, even without the bonus chapter. I hope they will create a part 2 to this game (don't change a thing).
