Very pretty graphics-wise, with obvious efforts by the creators to keep things moving and visually and mentally stimulating (but not too much). I liked the easy mini games because I'm not too HOPs savvy, The story unabashedly veers away from the mythology it's based on and makes no apologies--hey, I like that, no purist me. Inventory bar was a bit languid but that's a minor thing. Neat game!
I freely admit I'm tainted and spoiled by the big TM games that came out recently, probably beyond redemption.
This I found to be a cute and nice little game, a bit on the skimpy side level-wise, and highly repetitive in terms of tasks. If you skip the dialogues, you might end up kind of floundering around until you catch on and then time runs out. Worker task-queue applies whenever the worker has completed something that doesn't require carrying.
It was OK! The demo was enough to satisfy my craving for a new TM game but I suggest at least trying it if you don't mind variations of the same theme all the time.
Waiting literally years for the sequel (prequel?) to one of the most enjoyable games I can think of. Hits all the right notes: tasks are varied, multiple locations to venture to, you have many choices of which paths to take and what to do, the list goes on. I could use a timer but that's probably not feasible with the game's set-up.
Great game--please bring out third installment for PC.
Superb TM installment from the collaboration of two extraordinary developers. I won't rehash the goods on this one as it's been done many times.
The major detraction is the popup tutorials. I want to concentrate, plan and play, not read and click to continue and these items break my concentration. The lack of worker queue for me adds to the challenge, but I know the creators could have added this feature, so I applaud the extra challenge even though it's frustrating at times.
For serious TM players, the popups and banners can be a game buster. Please consider making them optional for future releases.
I'm addicted to the repair and rescue from devastation concept. This game gets reinstalled more often than the majority of other games in my collection. Can't explain why I like it so much, just that it's major fun.
Can't say much more than the other positive reviews, except fun, challenging, frustrating, and fun.
Ever so slightly hilarious with the "seriousness" of the cops and firefighters, and the planes, trains, and helicopters gliding in for a landing on those lonely cliffs.
Plan your strategies wisely, all funniness aside, this is overall not an easy game.
OK so this game is a bit older and somewhat graphically- and technically challenged compared to games nowadays. Why do I like it so?
Because the developer does! You can tell how into it the developer is and how meticulously the tasks, hidden objects and scenes are created. You're not spoonfed anything, nothing.
I'm proud to be among the ones who enjoy this game time and time again.
Demoed this one without reading anyone's review first.
Graphics were pretty good, in fact the technical aspects, such as smooth scene changes and mouse cursor function, were quite good. The story line, which can make or break a game, had me befuddled to where it eroded any further interest I may have had down the road. I ultimately didn't care.
Do I have all five of them (so far, HINT HINT), yes I do. I like them all, but I love this one-- it's got all the resource management/timed strategy goods, it's a hoot because it's so cartoonish yet serious with the airplanes and helicopters galore. So delightful and very, very challenging.
