Firstly, this developer really needs to work on creating necks and jawlines for their characters I just can't take them seriously when they paste a talking face inside an oval circle! But I digress, I have a book about this story and it was illustrated with all the dead wives inside the room and used to scare the bejesus out of me. I find this version so cookie cutter and PG 13. Let's take any scariness out of this story and add in a bad spell and evil spirit. Why? Why can't we have adult themed games and what's with these monster children. I was looking forward to the scary bluebeard and the secret room of dead wives. It's an okay game nothing special and definitely not true to the original bluebeard story.
I don't recommend this game.

I love this game and am actually scratching my head at the bad reviews. 'Too much fog' and 'dang I had to use a flashlight'. Seriously i like creepy, I like scary things and to be honest it feels like 99% of games on big fish are aimed at 12 years or younger. Yawn, which is why we probably have so much ghosts and bad spirits games. This is a long game which is perfect to play on a rainy weekend day. For me it's the story that makes or break a game and I like this one. Hunting down a crazed killer in an abandoned school what's not to love. If you're feeling me then you will enjoy this game.
I can't tell you how disappointed I am by this game. And I am just here to whine publicly. I thought we were going back to Louisana, back to where it all began and you know what? I wouldn't complain about that. Because that's why I loved the original game so much. But we end up in England of all places and I'm playing this game waiting for it to come together and make sense and it never did. C'mon Eipix you had so much to work with but it just felt rushed and you missed the point completely.
