I enjoyed playing this, 'tho similar to the last. It's got a little bit of challenge and great for a mindless play. The slot gives you a break from playing but can get monotonous at the slow speed. Some of the hint boxes hide the play for a second which is annoying. If you like TM with a little strategy this one can be fun. Purchased the Standard game at a discounted price, not worth it otherwise.

I really enjoy playing all of the Moai series. I really liked this one because you could identify what you needed to do, without alot of guessing what you need to build, bombing and rebuilding or replaying a level. Some of the levels were more challenging than others but it was a nice break to be able to breeze thru a level here and there. I liked the theme, characters, gameplay for the most part. I tried the wheel a few times and kept losing points so I stopped. This didn't add to the fun factor for me. I also found the delay to load each level annoying. I have a new laptop and don't have this issue with any other games. Could be a little faster. The item that really needs to be fixed is the bubble or dialog box that appears when you're trying to obtain an item during play. You have to be tricky and go back and grab an item quickly before the bubble appeared (maybe 3 times). This only happened when the item is on the top of the screen. The Developer should put the item/bubble somewhere else or not at all. With TM you're trying to move swiftly and with strategic consideration, we don't need a distraction. All in all I love Moai TM games and this one doesn't disappoint for the most part.

I enjoyed playing this TM, graphics pretty good. On occasion towards the end of the game on a few levels I couldn't determine what items were needed to pick up or activate. The bubble would sometimes show lines instead of items or would display numbers but didn't show what items were needed. e.g, gold, rocks, etc. As a new player to Hermes I also had a difficult time in the beginning understanding the forge was for something that looked more like food (round red item). I also had a tough time with the bonus that would automatically upgrade a building. Couldn't tell if it was working but it would eventually upgrade. These issues were frustrating but I still enjoyed playing, especially since it is the Standard version and was discounted. Not worth paying full price CE. I also had the problem as the other reviewed on level 3 with the wood. For some reason if you used the wood on the bridge first it worked. Somehow you are automatically granted more wood to finish the level.

I have mixed feelings on this one. I enjoy all of the Rescue Team games and think they're better than most TM games. I applaud the developers for trying to make improvements, but I'm not crazy about the cartoonish graphics. This game play is an improvement with interesting changes. I find it's difficult to see what buildings can be upgraded. I may need to get used to going to the store but I find it tedious while playing the demo. It's better than adding another building that's difficult to identify on the choice bubble. All in all, I like this game but I'm glad I paid the discounted price.

Great continuation of the Quartermain series. If you like the last 3 you'll enjoy playing this one too. There are a few new features and challenges to make it interesting. Some strategy and good story line. Visually it's interesting. Would like to be able to skip some of the dialogue within each level. Once you've played this, you don't need to keep reading the dialogue, developers allow skipping or moving through it quicker.
I usually can't wait for MCF series games. The last few have been highly disappointing. EPIX finally brings us back to the past while updating the look, feel and fun! My favorite MCF is Madame Fate and Ravenhurst both are SE. (2007-09) This one adds newer features but the HOGs, mini games and characters are similar to the older games. I have been playing less of the HOGs lately as most are all boring and similar. I loved playing this one and hope all developers take note!!!

I enjoyed the trial so far. I'm an intermediate player and have been bored with the same old storyline and mini games. There are different and amusing challenges and a few HOPS that are difficult but not frustrating for me. There are hints that give you an idea of how many puzzle pieces and morphing objects you're looking for. In the trial, there aren't a lot of areas that I had to keep going back and forth, which I hate. The graphics are fantastic and storyline interesting.
If you enjoy this type of TM game this is one of my favorites. The graphics are fantastic and the game is challenging. To gain the 3 stars on each level, you need to use some strategy, so it keeps it interesting but not frustrating. I rated the storyline slightly lower, but overall this is a lot of fun to play and replay. If you liked the first Alice, you'll really enjoy this one. Not sure it warrants CE status, since all you get are screensavers. I would still purchase this one, you won't regret.
