I'm not a huge Mystery Case Files game fan but I don't dislike them either, I judge each on their own merits, and this one I really did enjoy.
I Thought the graphics were great and the mix of hidden objects and puzzles was very well balanced. I really enjoyed the puzzles within puzzles games, they made you think and they challenged me so I was very happy when I finally made it through them.
The sounds were perfect for the environment too.
All things considered, music, graphics, story, games, hidden objects scenes this was one of the best games I've played in a long while.
Yes, I do recommend this game

I'm honestly sorry I wasted two credits on the game. It started out kind of fun and things were Christmasy so I figured what the heck why not use those credits you have hanging around, well I should have waited for a better game and kept playing the old Christmas games I've already purchased through the years.
I agree wholeheartedly with the review written by tesamoine they sum up my feelings about the game perfectly. After the demo, the game loses something it especially doesn't come off Christmasy at all. It would have been cute to play as a cute little doll if you ever saw the character other than her hand but alas you do not. What you do, do is a lot of mundane, boring, tasks that don't in any way remind you of Christmas.
I made it halfway through the game and found I was just too bored to go on so I deleted it. Sorry no, I do not recommend the game.
I don't recommend this game.

I've been so looking forward to this game but I have to say I'm a bit let down by the game. First, off things are not as clear and/or colorful as they should be there appears to be a white mist covering things so things like the lights and baubles on the trees are not as bold and colorful as they should be! I will give credit to Elephant games though because the game is fully decorated with Christmas decorations!
Secondly and most importantly I was not overly enthralled with the storyline for all the same reasons as Daggit12 above post in their review, why oh why must we ALWAYS have some kind of mean, nasty character and/or situation, why? can we not just have a fun, whimsical, colorful, joyful Christmas story?? We all really needed that this year!
It's also the same old, same old find this put it here, rinse and repeat.
It's not a bad game and I will probably buy it on a sales day since I really want to play something Christmasy and I've already replayed all the Christmas games I own.
2 recommendation: I absolutely adored Puss and Boots and Christmas Stories: Alice's Adventures was fantastic and one of the most beautiful, Christmasy games I've ever played. Try and buy one of those games if you don't own them yet, you won't be disappointed! Yes, I do recommend this game, but not at full price.
I recommend this game!

I absolutely loved this game! I couldn't stop playing it, it was so alluring and frustrating all at the same time. Similar to my husband lol
This was such a fun, complicated, frustrating, and ultimately very satisfying game. I did need to use a walkthrough a few times, I found one online under a ps3 sight listing. (Very Helpful) also take notes, draw pictures, write down everything you do, because you will need to remember these things and also one of the reasons I took off a point is that if you leave the game when you come back you will have to start all over, it's faster if you write down what you did. It doesn't start you back at the beginning just back at the beginning of the level you left off at. I tried to keep playing until I finally made it to a new level then I'd sign off and start anew the next day.
It wasn't a really long game, I wish it were but I had a heck of a good time playing it. I hope we see more of these types of adventure games. I'm sorry but I've gotten bored of playing the same kinds of games and doing the same things in each and every one of them!
I do highly recommend this game.

I almost didn't buy this game because the beginning was kind of confusing and boring to me but after playing the other game in this series and listening to the people who said it gets better as it progresses I finally purchased on a BOGO day. I'm so glad I did this turned out to be an amazing and very different game then all the other same old same old games we've been getting these past few years, you know, find an amulet put it here blah blah over and over. or hidden objects with the objects laying out in plain sight ugh! This was definitely not that!
Rarely do we see science-fiction games in the Hidden Objects genre and here comes Family Mysteries 2: Echoes of Tomorrow, which touches on topics of time travel, artificial intelligence, and other great things
This game was highly interactive, thought provoking and immersive, I really felt like I was in the game and actually doing the tasks at hand. Many times I felt like oh no I don't think I'm going to be able to do this mini-game but I did and I was so happy with myself lol I guess I do like things more complicated then I thought which might be why a lot of the newer games have bored me these past few years.
The music was perfect for the environment, the graphics were fantastic and it was a very good length. I wish I purchased the CE. When we have a BOGO sale I'm going to buy the CE and play this game all over again!
I highly recommend buying this game you won't be disappointed!

This review is after purchasing and playing the entire CE game.
I really enjoyed this game. The flow was great, most of what you had to do, what you had to find or where you needed to go made logical sense, a big plus in my opinion! The music and sound effects were perfect, mini-games not really my thing but they were ok, I Loved the hidden object scenes and I was glad there were so many, lately there have been less and less in the newer games. I sat and started playing this game and didn't want to stop until it was over, I'm so glad I got the CE so I could find out the actual back story and it gave me another hour of fun. There was also another bonus that was called the secret room, wasn't actually any room you just got to find a bunch of morphing items in 4 different rooms, that gave me at least another 15 or 20 minutes of added fun!
This game does tie up nicely in this SE edition so you don't actually need to purchase the CE. I myself don't normally buy the CE unless I'm really enjoying the game and we get a really good sale. This is one of the few games I personally suggest the CE for the bonus games.
Yes, I highly recommend this game.

I'm absolutely loving this new game! There are so many things to do, places to investigate, potions to make, people to meet it's just such great fun.
There are a lot more mini-games then there are hidden object scenes that's true and as I've stated many times I am not the best at them, nor are they my favorite part of the games but these mini-games are pretty cool and if you try and can't or don't want to do them the skip is ready and waiting. The hidden object scenes are really fun, multi-layered, interactive with some light mini-games within the HOG scenes as well.
The only thing I'm not really enjoying is the background music it's a high pitch flute sound and after a while, it got on my nerves and it was bothering my ears, The rest of the sounds and music were just fine.
You can tell a lot of hard work and time went into this game and I for one greatly appreciate it.
Yes, I highly recommend this game!

The premise of this game was terrific, take 3 people from other Elephant games and have them work together, but the carry through just wasn't really there, we all do different things in different locals, and we never actually come together to solve anything, Anna was the one who put it all together and it felt like she took up most of the gameplay. The things that really made me take points off were the extremely short game and the unimaginative mini-games.
I did like the game I just didn't love. The different locals were nice, having others in the game with you was great if only we interacted more often the game would have been a lot better.
I used a free game code so I'm not that upset but I would have been, had I paid full price.
Elephant Games have in the past put out long, thought-provoking games like the Surface series, the original Haunted Hotels, The original Grim Tales, this game was nowhere in the same league with those games but most of the games nowadays don't compare to the games they put out the first 3 or 4 years ago. The length, the creativity, the originality is just gone and it's really sad.
I do recommend the game for a few hours of fun with gorgeous graphics but I say buy it on sale or use a free game code, it's not worth full price!.

I love the Chimeras series, I own all of the games in this series. My favorite thing is they usually take place in regular modern day settings even if we are talking about a mythical creature.
This game was not the best in the series I'll grant you that but it wasn't all that bad either. I enjoyed playing it. My only real gripe is it was a very short game and that is why I took points off.
The graphics, music, hidden object scenes were all very good and the mini-games were ok mostly doable, nothing you haven't seen before.
I purchased this with another game when we had the BOGO sale so I'd say it was well worth the purchase price plus it gave me a few hours of fun, easy, relaxing game play.
I love Elephant games and they definitely have put out much, much better games in the past but I still recommend buying this one on a good sales day.
I recommend this game!
