From the makers of the Rite of Passage series comes a ground-breaking new series that's as creepy as it gets.

I absolutely hated this game! It was a psychological thriller and very well made it just was not for me. It won't be for anyone who doesn't enjoy psychological thrillers or horror games/movies. It saddens me to give such a low mark as these are my very favorite game developers, I just really hated the whole concept of the game. I hate when they use children in political ads, when they have them swear in movies and when they use a child's voice and persona in a scary horror filled game! I know I'm in the minority here but after an hour of playing this game I came into a scene were there were children laying with IV's in their arms and they looked dead. It was at that point I realized I was not only not enjoying the game but my muscles were very tense and sore, my head was starting to pound and I was in a not so nice mood. I uninstalled it right then and there! I'm older now and I've decided I like to be around and look at nice things, I want to enjoy the beauty in things, relax, laugh and be happy. This was the complete opposite of that. Try it for yourself you may really enjoy it. I did not. I will recommend because it was really well made and unique, just not for me.

This game is for me, is what a 5 star game should be. I can find no fault with it at all. The game was so well designed, the graphics and colors were perfect for the setting. The storyline remained throughout the game play, you knew what and why you were doing the things that had to be done. The music/sound was perfect too, giving you a bit of adrenaline pumping enthusiasm! It was pulse pounding good fun from start to finish! Elephant and Eipix better stand up and take notice because there maybe a new sheriff in town and it's name is GrandMa! If you like this game try their other Whispered secrets games they were all very well done but for a real treat play Reflections of Life: Dark Architect which is also a 5 star game with stunningly gorgeous graphics!
I highly recommend this game.

I really enjoyed this game and I'm so glad I purchased it. The game will captivate you with its gorgeous world and thrilling story from the start to finish! The hidden object scenes could have used more complexity and the mini games were mostly on the easy side, The music was nice and voice overs were well done. I found it to be a gorgeous light hearted bit of fun that gave me about 4 hours of relaxing enjoyment. I won't give it a 5 since I reserve that for what I think is a complete and all around immersive 5 star game, but I highly recommend it!
I recommend this game!

I don't often leave a review before purchasing and playing the entire game nor is it very often that I buy the CE edition of a game, but if I had the extra cash I would buy this game right now!
I was so enjoying this game when my time ran out. This is only the 3rd or 4th game this year that I truly enjoyed being totally immersed in a game. I just loved walking around looking at everything, being a part of their world as well as playing all the fun hidden object scenes and mini games. I didn't want to leave!
The hidden object scenes are excellently crafted and varied, from regular list finds to silhouettes and even placing items back in the scene where they belong. Those who still love this part of the game will be delighted with the quality of the hidden object scenes.
Visuals/graphics are fantastic, great animations and scenes, beautifully drawn characters and great attention is paid to detail, with the style working flawlessly with the fairytale genre. Colors are lovely without being garish or overdone.
I truly hope the rest of the game is as good if not better then the demo because as soon as we have a really good CE sale or a buy one get one I'm purchasing this game! For now I'm off to play a surface game I purchased sometime ago but never played. That will have to keep me happy until some extra funds fall from the sky like manna from heaven!
Yes I highly recommend this game!

Unlike any other Love Chronicles installments, Beyond the Shadows focuses more on fantasy elements than the romantic storyline. From the first moment of the game, I was totally absorbed into the game's magical environment. I loved every single detail in each of the locations, from the quirky animations to the fascinating decorations., visuals were just beautiful!
I'm not usually big on animal helpers but this one was a real sassy kitty that I thoroughly enjoyed! I loved finding the orbs that could be used on the characters in the game. You can use light or dark magic on them(You choose) This was so much fun.
I also enjoyed the well produced hidden object scenes, that are both extremely entertaining and unbelievably clever. Games were fun too but I do tend to skip many of these.
The story started out strong but it gets kind of lost and/or muddled the further into the game you go. It also seemed to just end very abruptly which is why I took points off. This could have been a 5 star game if the story was stronger and the ending was better. All and all I did enjoy the game a lot, I just wish the ending was better. Game realistically needed to go on at least another half hour to tie things up nicely! Maybe they did in the CE but that doesn't change the fact that they didn't in this SE version. I am a big fan of Vendel games and I would recommend this game and look forward to more great games from this developer!

I have played all the other games in this series and loved them! This game is just unplayable to me. First off I have a very large screen monitor but I can only see half the dialogue screen on the bottom or only half the items I need to find in the hop's. I literally had to get out of game and reset my computer resolution and sizes to much smaller than I normally have it on in order to see stuff in this game. (That's never happened before with any game old or new) The graphics are horrible/fuzzy in many places, the screen goes black when I move from one scene to the other and the jerking, panning in and out of the camera gave me a motion sickness headache. Absolutely horrible! The lurid colors and over crowded scenes made this feel like it was designed by Eipix not Domini games. Very disappointed because I was truly looking forward to another Dark Romance game, they are usually so much fun and so pretty to look at. I love Greek mythology, love Domini games, usually love the Dark Romance games and all the 5 stars had me going into this game so enthusiastically, boy what a major let down!
I don't recommend this game.

I absolutely loved everything about this game! So fun and relaxing. Gorgeous graphics, with beautiful Cuban scenery and wonderful Spanish accents! The games and Hop's were fun and interactive. The music was perfect as well, I kept my speakers on the whole time where usually I turn the sound off.
Mad Head games should be changed to Mad about you games! I can't think of one game they've done that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed, as a matter of fact many of my most favorite games are by them.
I love the scenes in their games well rendered no lurid colors, not overly done with something in every single spot to were you are overwhelmed nor too sparse just the perfect amount.
Not only is the game visually stunning but MadHead always tells a story so perfectly, it unfolds throughout the game play, hop's even the items you find to use to open things tie into the story!
My only negative is the game was short, I know it felt shorter because I was enjoying it so much, but it really was kind of short. I purchased the SE addition and I truly wish I'd purchased this CE edition so I could have played even longer. One of the best games I've purchased here on Big Fish and I've bought many including the other Cadenza games. This is a game I will definitely play again. Highly recommend!
I recommend this game!

I loved this game! Everything about it was just fun and relaxing but the best part were the graphics especially the middle part of the game. Stunning!!
The game has everything a hidden object gamer could love, map, voice overs, custom mode, great story that doesn't get lost during the game play and the stunning graphics. I just wish the game was longer I was so sad when it came to an end.
Yes I highly recommend this game.

This is beautiful game set in 17th century Rome. It has everything we hidden object adventure gamers love, customized difficulty level, strategy guide, good hint system, teleportation task map, journal, good characters & voice, music and stunning artwork, really stunning! I loved that the game was bright and sunny with real life like items and locations. So tired of all the grimy, dark, bug infested scary games, or all the purpley pink fantasy game. Love those games but they seem to be the majority so it's nice to have a break and play/live in gorgeous reality for a while.
I loved the box where you collect minerals, or gems in order to paint pictures that then become 3 dimensional items to use in the game.
I played this game non stop except for dinner and potty breaks, that's how much I was enjoying it.!!
The only downside was there were a lot of different locations so I had to use the hint quite a bit towards the end to point me in the right directions but that's no biggie for me. This is well worth full price that's how good it is!! Yes I highly recommend this game!
