I played the trial, maybe 15 minutes, then deleted it. The only thing that kept running through my mind was "Is this it". Incredibly boring. It also crossed my mind that my 4 year old granddaughter would play this, so in other words it is a preschool level game. I don't know what's going on with Big Fish but I deleted my membership and am using the rest of my credits. I wish they would start adding in the good old fashion TM games. Seems to be mostly HO and the "road" variation of TM, which I'm not a fan of. I miss the good old days.
"Really", I have to play this game and try to enjoy it?

The tone of the voice actor in making her statement to the talking bird was the nail in the coffin for me. I played for 29 minutes before deleting the trial. It was very elementary and quite boring. Once I start a trial I try to complete it, or at least use up my minutes. I had force myself to keep playing this one even after 10 minutes. Once I got to the talking bird I was DONE. I enjoy trying new games, even if I don't buy them, but I have never disliked a game as much as this one. Games like this should take you on a journey, especially if it is telling a story about a missing father and a child who loved him dearly. The lack of emotion during their reunion was shocking and her tone of voice at other times maddening. I thing this game might be fun for kids but it was not my cup of tea.
Thoroughly enjoy this one. I keep coming back to play it over and over again. Fun, challenging, and addictive. TM is my favorite category and this game is one of the reasons for that.

Game play is very slow, gets boring fast. Most puzzles are too easy but HOG are not bad. Poor actor choices, the inflection in their voices and lack of emotion makes the story/game unbelievable. I would recommend to try before you buy.
If you liked City of Fools you would like this game. Not enough fun parts of the game. A lot of moving through the town, talking to people (not audible, you have to read the conversations), intermittent HO games . Game is "okay" at best.

I love city building games and I enjoyed playing this game. Growing, building, trading, mining, fighting, etc., and keeping everyone happy is challenging at times but fun. I liked how the game became more challenging with each of the 30 scenarios. I completed it in a couple days but will enjoy playing again and again. There is also a sandbox option that becomes available.

This game is not all that bad but it is not the MCF we fell in love with. They have changed game play so much they should have made stand alone games with Shadow Lake and Escape from Ravenhearst. I liked all MCF up till the last two with Dire Grove and Return to Ravenhearst being my favorites. I don't understand why they taken something so popular and have changed it too much. HO games are spread out over different rooms or areas. Morphing objects is a side game which is good (I do not like morphing at all). There are also continuity problems with this game with both the story and the game play. I like to play the game through before I look at a walk-through but that was impossible for me with this game, there were several places I was at a loss. Like I said the game was not bad but when comparing it to past MCF games you will be disappointed.
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.
I am EXTREMELY disappointed with this game. I have enjoyed many MCF games over the years and have played them many times over. After a much anticipated wait for the newest MCF installation to be released, it was a huge letdown. The changes make it seem like a whole new game. I don't understand why they didn't just come out with a new "stand alone" game instead of adding onto the MCF library. I enjoy the HOS and that is why MCF has been one of my favorites. When I heard about the morphing I was eager to try it, but after doing so I now know it is terrible. Staring at one spot on the screen and looking for morphing objects is not at all entertaining and annoying at times. After a couple morphing scenes my eyes hurt my head ached and I was ready to uninstall the trial. I won't be wasting good money to upgrade from the free sample version. I am happy for those of you who enjoy the game but I do hope that MCF decides do away with morphing in the future. I honestly don't know what the developers were thinking when they put this together. This is truly sad and disappointing considering how much I have enjoyed the MCF games. Sorry MCF and BF but this is one of the worst games I have ever tried.
