This would go down as one of my favourite games yet!! I played it on advanced and found it had enough challenge to keep me interested. The story was good, the graphics were great, the music was also good. I loved the originality that was required in solving the puzzles, there was some lateral thinking required, but the best part was it all made sense!
I did feel the ending was a little abrupt, whilst it finished well, it would have done better to have an extended cut scene to finish it off.
For 25 years, you thought you had no family. But one night, a man steps through a mirror from another world, claiming to be your uncle... changing your life forever.
I thoroughly enjoyed this game. Was it one of the hardest HOGs I have ever played...no. That being said this was perfect for me as I enjoy playing a bit here and there, and being able to remember what I was doing when I come back to a game. The puzzles were easy to moderate for challenge, though there was two I had to skip as I just could not work them out. The graphics were very pretty, the music relaxing, and the storyline was good. I would happily play this one again.
I am so glad I read reviews before buying this as it prepared me for how incredibly busy the screens were for each scene. At first it was a little overwhelming trying to wrap your head around all the graphics, but once I got past that, I loved this game! There was so much to do on each page which gave you time to look at all the artwork whilst playing, and I felt like I was challenged to use my brain quite a bit to solve some of the puzzles (I set mini games to be harder). There are lots of items to collect, and lots to accomplish on each page which made a refreshing change from collecting only 1 or 2 objects per scene. This game took me a while to play, which made it good value for money, and I would happily revisit this game again for another run through!
This title was by far my favourite in the Awakening series. I love fantasy based storylines and once again myself, my 10 yo, and 8 yo daughter completed this independently and we all thought it was fun and challenging. Lots of interesting puzzles and HOS. Took about 4.5 to complete playing casually so I found this to be good value for money.
This games was fun and good value regarding the time it takes to play. I did find a some of the puzzles/objects a little frustrating as the answer was quite obscure. The map feature made life easier to get around and complete quests. The alternate ending was interesting, and I suppose it would leave it open for you to come back and play again and see what would happen if you changed the end, the only thing is I am not sure I would go back and play this one again.
I LOVED this game. I had played a few HOGs by the time at I got to this one, and this was hands down my favourite yet. Lots of puzzles and hidden object scenes which ranged from simple to a good challenge. I played this through once by myself and once through with my 10yo daughter who says it is her favourite game of these types. Cannot wait to find another HOG as good as this!
