Am I the only one who found this game disappointing? The only thing different about it was the hummingbirds, and even that got old after while.
Let's face it. Most of us don't really care that much about the storyline, especially since they're all so much alike anyway. What we're looking for is something new and different, something that challenges us to go beyond knives, ropes, valves & keys. And when we're playing in the "expert" mode we don't appreciate hints like "Maybe I can find a rope to tie to this hook". I think we can figure that out for ourselves after playing 50 to 100 of these games. If we can't figure it out we shouldn't be playing in the hardcore mode.
Maybe I just need to take a break for a while until something really new comes out. I don't like spending money on something that ends up being boring because it's the same old stuff.
I really had hopes for this game after all the excellent reviews. That's why I spent the extra money on the CE. It wasn't worth it.
Come on, developers. How about something really new & different?
I just finished the SE version of this game. They must have really rushed this one through. Lots of errors, especially in the HO scenes. Really, a handprint is a "scar"? Lots more like this. Sometimes I would click & click on an item, only to discover there were TWO of those items in the scene, or the item was completely different from its description. Extremely frustrating for those of us who don't like to use the hint button. We need to know what we're looking for!
The puzzles were fairly decent. At least they took some thought.
I used to love the music but it's definitely getting old.
I have to say I was ready for this one to be over. There's really nothing new in these Puppet Show games. Time to retire the puppet master.
I'm only recommending this because I think new players might enjoy it, or those who aren't annoyed by errors in the game. I'm probably too picky.
I have to admit I had a lot of fun with this one, mainly because of the different twist on the HOG scenes (and the fact that there weren't tons of them). Puzzles are my favorite, especially when they really tax the ol' brain. Unfortunately, there were only a couple that were a challenge at all. Most were way too easy but some took a while to complete, so I did like that aspect. I enjoyed the music. If a good game has good music it adds quite a bit for me. (I'm a big music lover!)
I can see where some players would be disappointed because of the low challenge level. But it's still a really fun game, so I have to recommend it. I played the SE and felt I got my money's worth.
I always play at the expert level and try not to ever use hints or strategy guides. In fact, I love it when I'm completely stuck and have to really search for a solution. This game has it all: Fun, great graphics, good music, lots of puzzles (my favorite) and several HOS thrown in for good measure. If a game gets me stuck for a while and I have to use my detective skills, it's a winner. I've been stuck a couple of times now and was able to find my way out. In other words, this is a big winner! Not for beginners unless you're not easily frustrated.
I play at the expert level and never use hints or skip mini games. In other words, I want a real challenge. Novice players will probably really enjoy this one but it wasn't challenging enough for me. The mini games were way too easy and I hardly had to search at all for items in the HOS. I don't care at all what the story line is. They're all so similar, anyway. I just want something different, and this one doesn't have it. Collecting scents was interesting but not a challenge. I played the CE. I may stick to SE's from now on because I never feel I get my money's worth from the CE's. They should be twice as long, but they never are. Would rather spend the money on two SE games. I'm yearning for something really different that doesn't involve a valve, a fuse, a knife, a rope, etc. Why is this too much to ask? I'm recommending this game because new players will enjoy it. That's the only reason.
I recommend this game!

Zuma Deluxe
Play the best-selling action puzzler that is simple to learn, but deceptively difficult to master. Are you up to the challenge?
I've completed all the levels more times than I can count. It's really a great game but I sure hope the developers are working on a new one. Zuma's Revenge just didn't do it for me. It was too easy and didn't hold my interest. Give us a new Zuma Deluxe with some new twists, and don't make it too easy!
When your daughter, Emily, is taken over by a mysterious force, you must travel to the Nightmare Realm to search for a cure. But nothing could have prepared you for what you find there…
Would highly recommend this game if you're up for a challenge and like to play in hard core mode, as I do. The puzzles range from easy to fairly difficult. Very few HOS, which is fine with me, as I enjoy the puzzles the most. I think most people will really enjoy this one.
