The graphics are good if somewhat fuzzy. You have a basic jump map.
Most puzzles are not overwhelming but 2 are wacky, 2 hard. I got hung up on a maze map because the navigation was not top down related but to the plays perspective on the map as to which way you are facing in relation to left and right.
Half the objects to find are related to hidden objects in the scene related. Parts are easy to find, if not seen, as the cursor turns into a grasping, gloved hand. This is not true to all hidden object scenes, but you do have sparkles to help you find needed objects. Finding one object can open up another place to find stuff. Sometimes you have to be right on to where you try to place an object in order for it to be taken.
Most scenes have easter egg bats to find, most are obvious. Don't worry if you don't find them all right off, at the end of both games you can go back and find the ones you missed in the bonus section.
Some obstacles are not so easy to solve, they take some out of the box thinking. On one scene the solution find was not very obvious and I had to use the hint button after fruitless searching, I was moving the cursor too fast to indicate the location to act with.
At the end of the main game you have 2 choices, neither won't effect your continuing to the bonus game.
Story line is OK.
I recommend this game!

This game is like the other more up to date Hidden Expedition games. You have a lot of customizations, a jump map and hint option as well as a skip puzzle option. Graphics are par with the most up to date games . Mood music is OK for the game. The scenario is similar in the other game series in that you have to stop a villain from using an artifact for personal gain.
Most puzzles are solvable with effort, some are subtle, 1 is difficult to figure out and will have you going in circles. There is 1 difficult arcade puzzle. You can either skip or resort to the guide on those. But I find this to be the case for most of these games.
This hidden object puzzles, or Hops as they are called, are not difficult except for a few items and many have hidden puzzles within them. They also have morphing objects you can find in the play of them or after you complete both games, main and bonus.
You have figure 8 easter eggs in each scene to find, some are difficult to spot. Or you can, after completing both games, go to extra section and find those you missed. In the extras section you have a souvenir room where you can find extra stuff per scene to fill the room up with objects, just like in the other up to date games.
I recommend this game!

Essentially this is a swords and wizard type game. And it's not a TMG actually as there is no time limit. There are no hidden objects to find like in most of the adventure / strategy games on big fish, it's pure strategy. The playing fields are 3D and somewhat surrealistic. You have 4 different graphic modes- low, normal, high, epic. Pay attention to the FPS indicator, if it drops your system won't handle that setting. My system could handle high and the graphics were pretty good in detail.
The music is medieval in format. In voice dialogs the language is gibberish as the developers have different language texts and it was cheaper to do the interface that way. Interface is basically point and click to an object or opponent. Moving the cursor to the edge of the screen will scroll to any off area territory.
Like in TMG games you have 2 essential things to procure, food, wood and gold. You can find caches of food and wood throughout the game and you can build production building of food and wood. Gold you either get in caches, quests, or chests. You can trade food and wood for gold and vis versa. And eventually you will find magic items that can help you in your quests.
You also can hire workers, clerics, mages, swordsmen and archers. You can upgrade their skill levels with various artifacts or upgrades purchased.
You can find and procure various potions via a potion herbologists from collected herbs.
Throughout the game you will be confronted with various obstacles and barriers that must be overcome. the game is learned by playing and getting tips / hints while playing, there is no formal guide. Currently there are 8 chapters and the game seems to be still under development. I got it free but would pay for it for any future upgrades or sequels.
It's a good idea to save the game before and after every battle or encounter. You game is automatically saved when you exit a chapter. Good luck on your quest and don't give up.
I recommend this game!

The game has basic cartoon graphics but not bad. The music is corny and monotonous. You have an untimed, casual, and hard mode. The play is complicated with timed voodoo type totems that periodically have to be disarmed and a structured production scheme.
On the basic production interface you could not determine what it will produce till you get to it.
I was able to complete the main part of the game. What I hated was you had to play the arcade battle levels to get to the levels up to level 17. And then you had to play an open all chests in a limited time to upgrade the ship to get through the next battle. The battles were not timed. The upgrades where ambiguous.
I got to battle level 10 but just barely. I could not win that battle no matter how I played it, I was winning when the enemy ship breaks away. There was no guide as to battle strategy. I gave up on going through the rest of the battle levels after the futility of trying to win that battle. For that reason I don't recommend this game. It could be a good game with appropriate changes especially to the battle levels by making them less ambiguous with better upgrade choices.
The last main level was a real challenge, even in untimed mode, as you had to structure how you did the production structure in order to earn enough income to get through the level.
Overall it's a challenging game especially in timed mode which I didn't do in that mode. Higher levels are really complex.
I don't recommend this game.

There is much to like about this game: humorous, challenging, and good balanced graphics. I wasn't enamored by most of the mood music although there was a good variety of it.
In most levels you have an easter egg puzzle peace that goes to complete a picture accessed at the main start page. Once found you don't have to refind if you decide to restart the level without completion. Level info in Map mode will tell which ones have a puzzle piece and it you found it.
After going though so many levels you get a bonus enhancement choice to give you advantages in the game.
Good detailed strategy guide. Good resolution in window mode.
After playing in casual mode, I switched to normal timed mode and was able to complete every level, although some were tough and just in time. But in the awards section it referenced 1 award to a library that I could not tie to anything in the game.
It has 3 arcade games types along the path that are optional. A battle ship type game, a pacman type game, and a joust game that I found very difficult and aggravating to win.
In the Awards section it shows a library award that can't be accounted for.
I recommend this game!

Like the other more recent Hidden Expedition games you have all kinds of custimizations, a jump map, and pretty good VGA graphics, a good guide. In this game you are tracking artifact thieves.
You have these sun symbol easter eggs to find. There are morphing objects in the hop puzzles, and there are puzzles within some of them. Most of the puzzles are not difficult to solve, some are tedious. There are also fact info cards to find. 1 puzzle that was very difficult was not in the extras section for replay.
As in the other recent Hidden Expedition games you have a souvenier room where you search visited scene for objects in the extras section. You can also go and find missed object in that section.
You will get your moneys worth as there are many rooms to go to and many objects to find in the quest.
I recommend this game!
