This is a nice game for the youngsters and adults as well. The graphics are very good at a cartoon level, reminds me of the old Warner Brothers cartoons of the late 60s and early 70s. The music kind of sucks though but doable for the game.
The challenge level for 3 star bragging rights is moderate. There are 5 or 7 levels that are severe and tight. Advance time game players will be able to figure it out without the help of walk-throughs.
What I don't like about this game is the lack of a complete help option and the ability to completely turn off the tutorials.
1. Play the game to find the critical bottlenecks of resource priorities.
2. Determine which structures to build 1st and upgrade.
3. Determine what bonuses to use at the critical points of the game.
4. Take heed of what goals are mandatory for completion to the next level.
Follow those steps and you will figure it out. You don't need to get 3 stars to advance through the levels.
I figured out how to get all 3 stars levels and win all awards. There are no hidden Easter eggs to find in this game. Have fun.
I recommend this game!

The game is colorful and has the same quality of graphics of Roads of Rome. Music is of the same quality. There the similarity ends. The main object of this game is to feed the troops while exploring unknown lands. Along the way you also have to pay ransoms to rogues and bandits.
You can breeze on through in relaxed mode but in normal time mode several of the scenarios levels are just in time critical, you blink you lose. You have to watch resources very closely and find out which bonuses work best. I made it through with some help.
Also, to get the 3rd star you have to find a hidden gem, just look for the sparkles to get bragging rights.

A nice game for young alchemists. Story line is kind of muddled but puzzles are not that hard. You can skip any puzzle or hidden object find. Hint available.

A fun colorful game for young and old.
Basically you can play 2 games, solitaire or mahjong games to get clues, or just one of them. The solitaire game is the most challenging. After you get the clues a comparison chart comes up with the suspects and clues, you try and sleuth out the clues to find the guilty suspect.
For a detective game I would personally prefer a more complex clue like game to sleuth out the guilty one or ones.
There are about 6 crimes in all.
I recommend this game!

A fun, colorful game for preteens, but impossible for 3 stars past level 23. Graphics are good, non offensive puritan quality music is conventional, boring. You can play- through without getting 3 stars to the bonus game in casual mode. In normal time mode their is just enough time for getting 3 stars, except for level 24 & 26 and beyond that I gave up on trying to get 3 stars as it seemed impossible the way the game was set up.
If I had 30~60 sec more time I could have made 3 stars on each of the 2 levels I played it all kinds of ways and even played by a walk-through on the forum and I still end up shy of 3 stars. Nowhere can I find any one who did get 3 stars at that level.
Many time limit games are good for developing logic skills that become useful in later life for kids. Got for brain stimulation for seniors also.
Best to play in the casual mode to get a feel for each level while finding objects. Then in normal mode you can play for 3 stars while not having to worry about finding objects.
The later games in this series has object finds for bragging rights. Some of them have points earning to build a place or object.

This is a fun, colorful game. Graphics are good, music is redundant. You can play- through without getting 3 stars to the bonus game. The bonus game is exceptional as it is based on strategy, not timed. You have to select what defenses are needed in the play- through to prevent the enemy from breaking through the route. Neet.
Some of the scenarios are real tough to get the 3 star bragging rights and 3 are just in time. The last scenario is a real mind twister and takes a real tight action plan. I had to play some levels 30~40 times to figure out the best way to 3 stars, and that was with a youtube guide. I generally don't like the tight games, it gets too frenetic, I like strategy over frenetic clicking. I had to ad lib on the guide. Sometimes you can do better then the guides.

Pure strategy, no time limits.
After playing this game 65% through I can see way it didn't get a favorite flame rating. It's monotonous and graphics are pasty and it a trying game to play.
When I got to the level where lightening was destroying the structures now and then, the management and upkeep got too tedious. I blew it off. And I hate games that only have a 1 track music playing.

This is a nice, fun game for preteens, teens and even adults looking for diversion. Some will love it. I played the casual version, it was timed but can be played through to timeout. The normal mode doesn't appear to be any different.
The graphics are very good and of vibrant quality at a cartoon level. No voice-overs. Only one music track. There is no play help except for the play tutorial which can be turned off.
The levels are challenging to figure out. Fortunately, you have the walk-through if you get stuck or frustrated.
It's got a village that you can not only build up but get enhance play bonuses to help you get through a level. The bonuses are bought though the stars you earn on each level so it is advisable to max out on the stars earned to get those bonuses.

I basically didn't like this game, it didn't have a help file past the basic tutorial starter. The procedure for making or getting some things is not clear. It's interface is quirky and awkward. The clothing outfitter building is ridiculous on choices.
Delegating skills and advantages to villagers was a roulette wheel and quirky at that. Advancement comes too slow. Crafting and making stuff was ambiguous, not really based on the real world.
It's more of a game for those that have nothing better to do but have some silly diversion fun, usually the younger, preteen crowd. It's not a game for a strategic, oriented person and takes way too much time managing and tracking.
