This game really drew me in even before I completed the demo. I purchased and the game did not disappoint. It was fun, creepy and I just did not want to stop playing. The bonus game was a bit short but all in all, this was a superb game!
I recommend this game!

I enjoyed this game very much! You play as a person who was invited to a family reunion only to find out things aren't as you expected.
The graphics are great, the voice acting is good, though I did get annoyed with Thomas' rhymes after a while. The hidden object scenes were a bit challenging at times and fun, and puzzles weren't too overly difficult.
I recommend this game!

This used to be my favorite game series. I loved these games so much I bought them even without playing the demo. Until I bought one that was horrible.
Since then I played the demos and was always less than impressed. This one was no exception. I'm disheartened to see this once great series fall so far. Maybe it's time to put an end to it.
I don't recommend this game.

It started out good, which is why I bought it, I liked the demo. But around the middle of the game it got boring for me and I simply didn't care. I was just playing it just to get it done. I disliked the endings immensely. The main game ending was definitely not original and it made me roll my eyes and the ending to the bonus game was just...no. It made me mad actually.
I don't recommend this game.

Maybe it was my love of ghost stories but I loved this game! A couple purchases a house for a bed and breakfast. No sooner than they walk in the door bad things begin to happen.
The atmosphere was creepy (I wouldn't go as far to say it was scary), I loved finding out about all the sins with each new ghost. It's a game that definitely needed that psychological warning!
I knocked off a star, however, because I thought the bonus game was a bit on the boring side. I was in a hurry to get that one done.
All in all, if you like creepy ghost stories, but don't mind the occasional eye roll moments (because this game does have some), then I think you will enjoy this one!
Try it and see what you think!
I recommend this game!

After a long hiatus from BFG (I got a little - ok a lot - burned out by the games) I decided to try another game to see what I thought. I chose this game due to the fact that ERS used to be my favorite developer and Shadow Wolf was one of my favorite series.
And it did not disappoint. For over a year I genuinely enjoyed playing a HOG game again.
Just like I remember, this ERS game had great graphics and a decent storyline. The hidden object scenes were easy, and the puzzles were not too hard either though I did have to skip a few.
The game was short, but I definitely enjoyed the time I had with it.
I recommend this game!

Curse at Twilight-Thief of Souls
Options are music and sound adjusters (will talk about the music later) as well as a brightness adjuster. I liked that idea because some games can get real dark. Good job, devs, for including that. Custom cursor and full screen options. No widescreen option, but that's okay because it looked fine on my monitor.
The modes are casual-skip and hints charge faster and sparkles and hard mode-skip and hints charge slower and no sparkles.
You collect gold coins to form pieces of a map that allows you to transport to previous locations. Very cool!
Some HO scenes are fragmented objects, not my favorite kind. But I have run across some hidden object scenes as well.
The storyline is interesting and the graphics are sharp! The music was nice, not too bothersome or loud.
The strategy guide showed the full guide in the demo! Another good job for the devs!
The bonus play is integrated in the game. Not sure how that works with the SE but I will find out when the SE version comes out.
Fun, challenging game, but I might purchase the SE instead.
I recommend this game!

This is the second game in the Shadow Wolf Mysteries series and it's just as good as the first!
The options include Full Screen, Custom Cursor and Wide Screen. I'm glad the widescreen option worked for me. Many do not unless I change my screen resolution and I am forced to play in Window Mode, which I do not like, because playing on full screen cuts out a but of the bottom of the screen. The music is very good as are the sound effects and you can adjust those in the options section as well.
The Help section tells you about the game, and the More Info section gives you the Credits, Forums and Strategy Guide. The Extras section includes Music, Concept Art, Wallpapers, Screensavers and the Bonus game, all unlocked when you complete the game. The bonus game, I can understand, but I don't see the problem with unlocking the other items after purchasing.
Play mode gives you three options: Regular mode which has faster hints and sparkles. Expert mode which has slower hints and no sparkles and hard mode which has even slower hints, no sparkles and black bar tips are disabled.
Now for the game. It's beautiful. As always with ERS. They never fail to create gorgeous games! The voiceovers are well done, the music is very good. The storyline is great (I love wolves!). The hidden object scenes are well down, and the objects are not too hard but not to easy which I love. I rarely have to use a hint.
The hint button is quick to recharge (in regular mode, which is what I am playing) but I do think the skip button takes longer than it should.
The puzzles take some thinking but nothing too hard. I'm horrible with puzzles and, admittedly, skip a lot of them, but I played most of these which is a good thing-for me anyway.
Since it's ERS I purchased right away, but I encourage you to play the trial and see for yourself.
I recommend this game!

Wow, just wow. I'm not finished the game, but I can tell you that this game is AMAZING! It really is a psychological thriller! It has the feeling of watching a real creepy movie, which is just what I love!
The hidden object scenes are replaced with morphing objects. This is definitely not for everyone. Some people don't like this idea. I think it's a nice new twist to the game, but I wouldn't want all games to be this way. I do miss the actual hidden objects.
The hint button charges very quickly. The strategy guide is different as well. It just shows pictures of what to do instead of text. I didn't like it at first, but it's really not that bad.
This game is definitely worth the price of the CE, especially if you are interested in the Ravenhearst games.
I recommend this game!
