I bought this because it reminded me of the game Bioshock, a little. I don't think anything can live up to that but there are shades of it here. Good atmosphere, ambience and gameplay. It felt like a slow burn. It required patience, like getting the kittens back to their mother task, which was threaded through the entire game and kept me interested. For some reason that felt more important than all the other things I had to do and I'll remember it for that. I like the way it is put together and structured and the end was satisfying.

I thought it was a nice relaxing game, with ok graphics and good game play. I also liked the voice overs. I don't normally enjoy the fantasy genre, that sort of fairy tale/ medieval environment but I did like the orc and elf NPC's, all of them really. I think it was mostly the artwork of those characters I enjoyed, the whole look of them, their clothes and hair and tattoos! They were creative and imaginative, detailed. I still can't get the elf's costume out of my head, the use of brown's and green's in his costume, his boots alone were awesome.
At times, this game reminded me of Lord of The Rings, when they went into Moria. At times. it has all the wonder, splendour and ambience that goes with that. Sometimes I just paused to take it in and appreciate how they put some of those mine scenes together to make it look so good. It really fired my imagination. I don't know whether it was me but I found the game just a touch short and there were a lot of mini games and not that many hidden object scenes. The music was quite cinematic and would subtly and skilfully change with the environment. Sound effects were also very good. The game play was excellent. I never had to worry about getting lost or finding my way around, there's no to-ing and fro-ing as the map will transport you wherever you need to go. They take the headache out of getting about.
Kathleen’s beloved Danny has been arrested under strange circumstances and accused of murder. It’s up to Kathleen to hold her own investigation and find out what really happened.
Enjoyed this game, good game play, very relaxing, nice music, really nice hidden object scenes but a glitch stopped me from completing it. I could not get the 5th candle. I should have read some of the reviews before buying it. would not have bought it otherwise. For the most part, I was luckier than most and did not experience any tech problems until the very end. It is a bit annoying and frustrating when you are at the very last scene and cannot complete a game because of a glitch. These older games are like that sometimes. I do not feel short changed because it was a very long game and I enjoyed it for the most part. Without the glitch, it would have got five stars. I recommend the game itself but obviously not because of the glitches.
There are 120 levels and four environments, a hotdog stall, a breakfast bar, a burger bar and finally a fine dining/steakhouse type of restaurant. The graphics are luscious, detailed and clear. The game play is user friendly, highly addictive and lots of fun. The blog upgrades are completed not long after the first restaurant. I had a little difficulty on the last level of the hotdog stall and had to play it several times but eventually I got through it. Once the blog upgrades were on max the rest of the game was much better after that. Just the right amount of challenge for the most part. Very enjoyable.
Back to back hidden object scenes with a little interactive thing in each one. Fairly quick charging hint. There are also mini games with immediate skip feature. Nice relaxing game with ok environmental sound effects. A bit short. Altogether, there are forty scenes to play.
Even though I enjoyed the other Haunted Manor game. I liked this better. It was easier to get around and had better gameplay overall. It was a fun game with the same gentle graphics, style and atmosphere reminiscent of this excellent short series. Another very long game!
Good game play, found the graphics very easy on the eye and the atmosphere was spot on. I also liked the hidden object scenes. It was a long game and lots of fun and you do get your money's worth. The only fly in the ointment was all the to-ing and fro-ing, as well as all the getting lost, not good on the feet.
A cross between time management and match 3. Highly addictive and lots of fun completing it at goal level but then once you settle in for the second round of trying to get expert level, it can get quite brutal. There are a huge variety of different upgrades, but you need to earn coins to get them all, and there just aren't enough coins sometimes. You do get a chance to play a lucky wheel every day to earn more.

I played the demo and because I liked the atmosphere and ambience and sound effects, I bought the game but then, after the demo, it went wrong very quickly. I kept getting lost. I realised I did not like the graphics at all, it was not exciting in any way...it was just not a good buy for me in the end.
