I can't review a game sight unseen! The game would not download, after several attempts I just lost interest, too annoying. This happens far too often these days and 4 games for me in recent weeks. That's why I shop elsewhere frequently. Big Fish has become sloppy, unreliable in many areas.
The number sequence of the Modern Art games has become a little off as well. Regardless, I always try the demo to check for any new changes in palette and subject matter. The samples in the synopsis look very pretty, the colors are nice, appealing subject matter. Hopefully, this edition has taken a turn for the better and the beauty.
But I'll never know because I'm tired of the hassle. Just not worth it. I hope someone else can open the game and finds something wonderful to fill with beautiful color, not all the dark, ugly ones of past games. And maybe not have to complete the first level before the others will open? That would be great !!
Subject matter and color....isn't that what art is all about? It is to me. This use to be a favorite series of mine and I would really love to love it again!

with everything and then some, that Halloween fans love. Looks like enough to keep everyone happy until next time or beyond. I love how the locations are so crowded and colorful. it makes for a great challenge and playing in the hardest mode makes it even more devilish!
Casual Arts always makes sure their games are loaded with the extras. The bonus content of their CEs is never disappointing and a game like this, I think, is enjoyable any time of the year and so the replay value is appreciated. You get your money's worth with this one! I love Casual Arts!
I recommend this game!

but those who do will likely enjoy this bundle of puzzles. The images are darkly colored, orange is over-used and I think the subject matter is lacking. There are a few cats, a raven, one category has a better selection of images, some puzzles look out of place for the Halloween theme. What I greatly dislike are the "models" wearing costumes and the heavy make-up done in a style that looks silly rather than scary. Many of the images look too similar, imo, so the variety isn't all that good, and that means for me the fun factor is low.
I do like this puzzle series very much, however, and I'm currently working on Dream Land which is very beautiful. All the features/options are great, I love the choices we are given for size and shape, background, and being able to assemble the border first. Graphics are always nice and sharp. I've never once encountered any glitches.
For the demo I chose a cat, pumpkins, and Jack-o-lantern in different modes and sizes. I always wish I could open the 6th chapter early. If you look forward to Halloween, "Jester" will get you into the mood for the Autumn scare-fest.
I recommend this game!

When MixoGames introduced us to Twistingo, they instantly became a favorite dev, of mine, for HOP games. That beautiful series is quality from top to bottom, so I was drawn to Blue Moon and found it to be even more than expected.
The graphics are amazing and the colorful scenes are gorgeous. Everything, imo, is perfect. Characters are so attractive and speak without the annoying bad voice overs and slightly-off lip sync, I appreciate the devs not overlooking this important detail.
Polynesia presents an exceptional background and story for this entertaining game. The demo gives a good example of what we can expect in this CE. I played in normal mode and found it just right for me but I think I'll play the extreme mode after purchase for the extra challenge.
The HO scenes are beautiful to look at, all fun, interesting pretty items, with the same format in each chapter but it didn't become boring at any point. Even the puzzles are beautiful, the variety in the demo is good. I'm expecting to find many challenging HOPs with mini games being not as abundant.
Considering the beauty everywhere, the very creatively designed HOPs, types of mini games, realistic characters, and an engaging story to complete the package, I'm not hesitant about purchasing. For me, there is quite enough to make the CE a good deal.
Some may find that similarities to the previous Twistingo games hint at the "same old" and won't be interested. However, I think the devs put a lot of work and effort into the game that you won't find from other devs in this genre. BFG has, for too long, brought us a lot of stinkers, so Blue Moon is a nice breath of fresh air.
At least try the demo, you might be pleasantly surprised.
I recommend this game!

I love this excellent series from Suricate and with today's new addition, I own every game. There are wallpapers, mini games, elusive crystals to collect, beautiful sharp graphics and colorful scenery. The 120 levels can be replayed, earning Gold, Silver or Bronze is a fun incentive. I always aim for the Gold which means I do a fair share of replays throughout the game.
There is an on-going story that is engaging, not just some flimsy tale that makes no sense. This one is about the destruction of another world by a dark force and having to restore its balance. I love the characters, they are very attractive and each has an important role in the story. It's a long story, lots to read as you go but I really enjoy it so I'm not annoyed by all the dialogue. If you don't want to bother reading, it can all be skipped.
As you play, the crystals you earn with each level are needed to restore the ancient sanctuaries that have been abandoned and neglected during the presence of the dark force. The grid sizes increase as you progress, the challenge is very good and there's a variety of tile styles, I like having choices. However, the tile colors are on the dull side and not as pretty as in my other mosaic games. It is a very small negative when considering the quality of the game overall.
For me it is always fun, I replay my Daydream Mosaics games very frequently. I have three favorite series now so I'm very satisfied. Now I hope to see Number 6 in the not too-distant future, at the same time appreciating that the games don't arrive every month. I believe the interest, anticipation and quality remain intact when not a "rapid release".
Try the demo, perhaps you'll become a fan of Daydream Mosaics, too. If not familiar with the series, look into the previous games to see where the saga begins and where it leads. Easily 5 stars from me and a welcomed relief from all the worthless (imo) games on Big Fish these days.
I recommend this game!

After 5 attempts the demo finally downloaded. Then I got only 5 minutes of the demo. That is pretty darn rotten! Now I am afraid to purchase what I know will be a beautiful paint by numbers game. I own the previous 5 and love every one of them. But I'm not a fool and won't take a chance on Number 6 working after purchase.
I have had problems with numerous recent games, like other gamers. The demo won't download, or an error message appears, and the game won't reinstall and the only way to delete it is to shut down! Big Fish what the heck is going on? This is why I have been purchasing from another site lately!! Please fix these issues if you don't want to lose customers.
I want to buy this game!!!

It is about the game. I play every demo hoping Domini will rekindle my interest and the enjoyment they brought with each new game, but it's been several years without the fun. Today there still is nothing that triggers the excitement of a new Domini HOPA. I don't want a plethora of tasks and puzzles. I want a story and adventure!
I can tell that $$ and resources were conserved. It shows!
1)Graphics were not as grand as another reviewer claims.
2)The voice overs are not good.
3)The locations are mostly dark, making it unneccessarily hard to find items.
4)Collectibles extremely hard to spot. Are they really there?
5)The game is very long, not due to story and adventure. It is stretched way too far with an excessive amount of puzzles. This is supposed to be a HOPA, not a puzzle extravaganza!
6)Domini is not the best dev anymore, by a long shot. Others are more creative and quality-minded. They don't stretch their games with a crazy amount of tasks and fillers which are pretty darn tedious.
We are not all puzzle lovers here! I, probably like many others, skip many of them. In my opinion, this means we are not getting a good $$ value with these games.
I really wanted to see the underground world, elven citizens and tree-infected creatures. The storyline definitely intrigued me. However, I'm not willing to take the chance that I will be entertained enough while forging my way through all those puzzles. To me, 60+ puzzles and only 17 HOPs is not a good deal.
I know Domini has their always dedicated fans who love them to the moon and back. I would love to join in. But every time I read exaggerated statements by one particular fan, about Domini's quality, in my opinion it just seems like I'm reading a script.

There is nothing especially wrong with these travel games. There are just too many of them, and, imo, BFG needs to just stop already. I think most of us are pretty sick and tired of them by now. There are many more games out there, many great developers. I have been purchasing games on another site and I'm wondering why BFG doesn't offer us the variety of great entertainment that is available.
I realize that we all have different tastes and the travel games are fun and are favorites of many gamers. I enjoy HOGs, too, and own many, but PLEASE many of us are starving for more HOPAs and games from other genres. We are so bored to death and considering ending our memberships, due to lack of QUALITY ENTERTAINMENT. I think BFG either does not read or just doesn't care about all the poor reviews. And why even submit reviews nowadays if they aren't ever taken into account? Just my opinion but we need new devs, variety, games that require thinking, tickle our imaginations with challenge and adventure, and please do away with the price restriction on new games. Since the big change in Aug '22 things have really gone downhill, effecting more than just the quality of games.
Anyway, I like travel games, to a point. And I do enjoy the Amazing Trip demos but stopped buying travel HOGs long ago and I fail to see why the SE version isn't enough for this type of game. Money...right??
If you enjoy travel games, this is a good series. The graphics are always good and there's always plenty to do. Items are well hidden for the most part and there's a fun variety of list styles. However, I personally don't see the need for a new HOG when the ones I own are no different except for titles and "locations/destinations".
I did enjoy, right to the end, today's problem-free demo. Easy to average challenge, usual gameplay, a mere glimpse of the Mediterranean. An hour of relaxing fun!
I recommend this game!

Again, here is another new game I imagine will go unnoticed because BF put it in New Releases rather than introducing it in Early Access on the Home Page. This is so unfair to the dev! I've learned to check New Releases every day because of this practice that BF has begun using.
Beyond Stories: Dream Land is a most gorgeous collection of puzzles. Each puzzle is perfect, imo. The images, variety of subject matter and the colors are so dreamy and beautiful. If you love fantasy imagery I don't think you'll be disappointed. There is a sweet picture story that opens as you complete each chapter and I enjoyed the tale as it unfolded, an easy read.
There are 6 chapters and over 190 puzzles. You have to wait for number 6 to unlock but not a negative for me. I worked a puzzle from each chapter, trying different smaller sizes, styles and cutout shapes. Everything worked so smoothly and the options/features made assembly fun, and challenge depends on the options you choose for each puzzle.
I really loved the mosaic style for more challenge and the cutout shapes for classic style made assembly fun in a whole different way. There are many puzzle sizes, there's a rotate option and you can sort the border pieces. I liked the colored background and especially the ability to change its value with a color meter.
The previous edition "Merciless Winter" is also wonderful. Owning both collections affords me endless hours of relaxing enjoyment and very pretty pictures to look at. These and Jigsaws Galore are my favorites. Complete satisfaction!!
I recommend this game!

although the 3 pictures shown with the synopsis were very beautiful. I thought maybe Pixel Art had finally made a grand improvement but, alas, the demo proved me wrong. My last Pixel Art was Number 11 and here it is with Number 27, still no changes EXCEPT now there are 4 less images to color.
It's impossible to do the entire first level in the demo, on top of that the trial surprisingly ended in 30 minutes. Images were mostly juvenile but I used some of the colors on several, to check their quality, the results were awful. Also, I noticed all the scrolls, for every pic, had dull/ugly/unusual/pale/dark colors that just made no sense for putting life into a picture. No beauty, no brightness, no depth or detail.
Again, not only your chosen number appears in grey cells. Why do others appear as well? Still no Hint. The duckie I finished was instantly whisked away. The images are still so pixelated and small after completion that they become too blurred. The result disappoints.
Because the intro images were so colorful and pretty I really wanted to take a chance on Number 7. But the first level discouraged me and I doubted I'd find the other levels appealing in spite of the 3 "teasers".
I know there are many fans of Pixel Art and I wish I could join them, as I love paint by numbers and do purchase many elsewhere. But I just don't like the poor array of colors and images and the lack of at least a few fun features to jazz it up a little. All in all, I admit, it isn't a bad game just because it doesn't appeal to ME.
PS...I found this in New Releases. One more game that did not get a proper introduction in Early Access on Home Page.
