Agent Sarah, famous police detective, is called by the Chief of Police to solve yet another unsolvable crime in this captivating hidden object adventure game!
I enjoyed the demo. Even though it was not a challenging game, I liked it quite a bit. Crime-solving mysteries always capture my interest, and this game was more fun than I anticipated.
Searching for the same objects repeatedly, in the same scenes, started out as a drag but as the game progressed it turned into a fun mission I had to accomplish. The different styles of HOs were used throughout and there were mini-games in which to examine your evidence. 5 stars are earned for your accomplishments. You lose points for misclicks but no penalty for hints. Don't worry about how long you spend on a level, there isn't really a "time's up", however, earning your 5 stars will take longer. No biggie, I'm in no hurry! The graphics were good and I had no trouble with finding the hidden objects. The handy zoom feature was nice if you need a little help.
The game was not complex. For me it was a refreshing little change from the norm which enticed me enough to give a 5 star review. Wish we had more SE crime-solving games.
I enjoyed the demo and liked travelling to the various destinations with the bonus of learning a fun fact about the completed image. This mosaic game was a little less challenging, but it didn't matter because the features made it worthwhile for me.
I loved that my progress can be saved when I want to call it quits for a while. I loved the undo feature and seeing the time it took to finish the puzzle. There is a generous number of free hints and a fun variety of tile choices. Colors were not as vibrant as in my top mosaic games, but not a fun-spoiler. Since I play mosaics for relaxation, Easy Mode is always my choice. My mind has enough "hard labor" with other games I own (lol). For me, it is just a lot of fun seeing the pictures materialize and being able to recognize them. The highlights on the columns and rows are not present here and I feel this is an important feature, maybe this will be added in future "Around the World" games.
Although this game doesn't contain as many puzzles as I would like, I decided to add to my collection. Always looking for a newbie that adds a little more joy to my day.
Pixel 4 was just what the doctor ordered to take away the gloomies today. This is my sunshine while it is raining and dark this morning. Thank you Big Fish!
This game is coloring fun in very simple form. It is a nice change from all the intricate coloring I enjoy for hours every day in my coloring books. Sometimes I just need that deeper level of relaxation in my hobbies and my PC games.
The pictures are amazing and become more intricate as you progress through the levels. The colors don't seriously come to life until your masterpiece is finished. It is so much fun to see the completed picture. There is no particular order to anything: start anywhere on your pic, choose whichever color pleases you, jump around with your colors, fill in the pixels one at a time or you can fill in larger areas of all one color by double clicking. If you make a mistake, no need to fret. The wrong color is kind of see-through and isn't permanent. Just go back over it with the intended color.
The features available in Pixel 4 make the game so enjoyable! Everything runs smoothly, no problems with anything to interrupt the fun and relaxation. I love that!! Also, love being able to super enlarge the picture, if need be, and moving to wherever you want to color are a big plus in my book. I think the children will have fun with this, too. And gamers with not-so-good vision (like me) will be able to enjoy Pixel 4 without a magnifying glass.
If you think it all sounds kind of boring, just give it a whirl. You may be pleasantly surprised at how much fun "simple" can be. It is so nice to escape from the games that contain so much doom and gloom. For me, it is very cheery in Pixel Land. I bought without trying the demo and was not disappointed one little bit.
BUT, these devs certainly missed the mark AGAIN!!! I went through all the categories and found not even one puzzle that sparked my interest. Everything, IMO, was extremely boring and lacking beautiful color. Not even a good sampling of the animals and birds that inhabit this awesome country. And with all the beauty Australia is blessed with, I am quite surprised at the poor selection of pics in this collection. They even took away the colored backgrounds, replacing them with an unattractive kangaroo wallpaper!
Well, I will just stop here with complaining. I have been disenchanted with these devs for ages, but keep hoping to find some favorable changes "the next time". IMO, they don't even read our reviews and feedback should be very important to any company. But I guess these devs think they have no need of improvement.
I regret being unable to enjoy this puzzle collection. I would love to give it a shining review. But my opinions shouldn't discourage other puzzle lovers from at least trying the demo. Many of you, I am sure, will love what you see. And you certainly can't beat the price! Imagine the cost of 500 puzzles purchased in stores or on-line!! Check out the demo and see what you think, you may see beauty where I do not.
Step into the shoes of a Private investigator with short-term memory loss and uncover the shocking truth about his involvement with a serial killer called The Executioner.
I've just finished the demo, which was extremely entertaining. I am so anxious to discover the identity of The Executioner, because I already have a pretty good idea of who it may be.
The demo was so full of good content for a change. Great storyline that started out with a murder and a detective with partial memory loss. I loved every bit of gathering evidence, and for once I did not mind the gadget in this game. It was a forensic kit and did not spoil my fun. Arthur, our detective, is trying to piece together his memory and avoid the cops, being number one suspect in a string of killings. Seems like someone is setting him up for a big fall.
The graphics are very good, the voice-overs are excellent, in my opinion. I had no problems with darkness in any of the scenes and the game ran with no problems, no irritating black screen between scenes. However, I thought the collectibles were difficult to spot because they were quite small and of faint color. I finally decided not to look for them.
The HOPs were absolutely superb and the puzzles were great. Some were unique to me and I was stumped on a few of the things, which almost had me reaching for a hint. LOTS of interactivity. These HOPs required a little detective work which added to the fun. I loved collecting all the bits and pieces of evidence, bringing the story together in a sensible way, getting closer to the real killer and how Arthur became part of the whole thing. This didn't feel like a silly little game with silly little tasks, etc that we get so many of lately. All the tasks had a purpose, bringing us closer to The Executioner and saving Arthur.
Crime/mystery games are in very short supply at Big Fish. This is an excellent example of a terrific whodunit and we need more of them. They are very well suited to adult and senior gamers who, like me, are sick of witches & demons and terribly bored with all the fantasy games with a lame storyline.
My opinions of this Ghost Files game are based just on the demo, but I am betting the entire game is a winner. I will eagerly await the SE version, since I don.t feel the CE has much to offer.
So, I immediately purchased after the demo, hoping for the best! I love crime/mystery themes and this game has both and is off to a good start so far. The demo begins with a young artist leaving his comfy lifestyle and traveling to Paris to experience something new.
He quickly makes friends with a group of fellows and meets a beautiful girl named Sasha. He falls in love, a relationship blossoms and that is where his troubles begin. One night after painting her portrait, she vanishes and the Paris police are pounding at his door. He slips out through the window.
What happens next? Frustration for our friend as he tries to solve a mystery, the man with the ivory cane seems to be an ally and the rest is for you to discover. I don't want to spoil the fun of it all for you!
The graphics are very clear and colorful. The characters have all been interesting so far, and very irritating, They all want something in exchange for a little help and I can't stand it! Their appearances are all rendered well, but facial expressions are stiff. Might be my imagination, but sounds to me like just 2 people are the voices for everyone. Very suspicious to me, was the voice of the little girl at the pier.
The games were really good, I skipped a couple, which affected the achievements within the game. Didn't see any HOs, don't know if there are any. I wasn't paying close attention to the game options. There are also collectibles, 10 elephants to keep track of in your journal. The journal stores everything you need: notes, clues, info, help, picture & explanation of your game icons, collectibles, achievements. Don't leave home without it!
So, to me this promises to be a good mystery and I am ready to do some snooping around. I have already formed my Sherlock opinion of the crime scene in the demo. I'm eager to find out what the heck is going on and why someone is trying to frame me. I do hope this turns out to be a good, solid SE game. We haven't had one for a very long time.
And now I must continue to delve deeper into the mystery in Paris and find out more about "The Man with the Ivory Cane".
Restore the kingdom's mesmerizing castles in this enchanting Solitaire adventure! Travel the lands and collect resources to rebuild majestic monuments.
How nice it would be to rebuild some beautiful nature or aquatic scenes, some quaint European villages!!! How about inside a museum or art gallery? Even castle interiors that have been furnished and restored.
Jewel Match always presents quality entertainment. I appreciate all their games, I love their solitaires and own them all, the features and graphics are excellent. But I am sick to pieces of all the drab castles! I do not enjoy rebuilding something boring and colorless, providing me with no anticipation of seeing the next addition to the rebuild. Even though the solitaire game is always top-notch, rebuilding is a huge part of the fun for me, so it really influences my decision to purchase.
Unfortunately, I have decided to pass this time. But I have plenty of their prior games to keep me satisfied. I do hope to see some improvements in this particular area in the future. Certainly, I highly recommend today's new release for a splendid game of solitaire.
I always enjoy this type of game. This one provides enough variety to keep you pleasantly occupied without that bored feeling creeping in. Very good HO scenes that present a decent little challenge, no junk piles. Also there are different types of mini games, my favorite being Spot The Difference.
There is nothing to complain about in Adventure Trip: London. Lots of fun features, there are Easy, Medium and Hard Modes. Sharp graphics, no tech issues, suitable for all players. IMO, it is very similar to two "Trip" games I already own, so this will be a pass for me. But I highly recommend to other fishies who want to visit London.
Once again Far Kingdoms has rescued me from the "boring game blues" and I purchased this game without a moment's hesitation. Such a breath of fresh air, after all the games that are filled with darkness and psychos and neon colors, etc.
So, here is another Far Kingdoms goodie with a nice variety of games and HOs, and a good little storyline to add extra interest. I like the mini games which you can play after each set of hidden objects are found. They become more difficult as the game progresses, which I enjoy, and they can be replayed. There are timed and untimed play modes and the hints are available a little differently, fireflies even help you out, but you have to buy them. A bunch of avatars from which to choose, but I fail to see their purpose, unless I overlooked something. The amount of challenge is just right, sound is easy on the nerves.
The graphics and colors are very good, the game ran with no stalling or other common nuisances. I love Far Kingdoms games and am happy to add this one to my collection, I own them all and I play them often. They have great replay value and I have never regretted purchasing.
Far Kingdoms devs, IMO, know how to make great entertainment, just good clean fun that doesn't have age restrictions or "iffy" subject matter. Maybe some day they will surprise us with a big set of wonderful jigsaw puzzles. That would be awesome!!! I'm adding to the top of my BF Wish List. Thanks for the fun!
I have played only the demo, but it didn't give me that "have to buy it" feeling. Owning the other 2 games of the series, I did not expect this one to be so blah. The demo creeped along, there were lots of tasks and minimal dialogue. The storyline was kind of silly (stealing voices), but it was the tattoo part I thought was interesting. However, I saw very little of them nor was there a good, detailed explanation for them. Of course not, because first we need to have dialogue!!
On the bright side...I thought the graphics were fantastic. They were the sharpest, most vivid I think I have ever seen in any game. The great colors were appropriately applied, no neons. I felt the characters were rendered extremely well and the voices were very natural. The store owner did most of the talking. Lip movement was pretty good. I loved the HOs, they were very creatively designed. The puzzles were great, too, not a big challenge which gives me more time to play the game. But, alas, not much game to worry about here, as I reached the end of demo. The map was very simplistic, but worked perfectly. Really unnecessary, though, in the small radius the demo keeps us in. The morphs and collectible musical notes not so hard to find. They were in each scene. The game ran very smoothly with just a slight delay with black screen between some scenes. It didn't bother me.
The story and action may pick up their pace as the game progresses, but the demo leaves me discouraged. It's the action and nitty gritty of the story that makes me want to buy a game. I have enough boring tasks at home to keep me going back and forth, don't need another 90 min of them!
So, I am on the fence about recommending this one. Many of you will very surely like it. Me? I didn't see enough game in the demo to go for it, which is disappointing. I suggest trying the demo, you might form a more positive opinion than I did. I don't think it was necessarily a bad game, it was just too slow-pokey for me!
