You really have to take some time to peruse this copious list of adventure games to find the gems. So many cookie cutter games, what a relief to find something well done! First off- a minimum of typical shadowy HOPs- the HOPs that are in this game are fun and different (many times I find HOPs frustrating- not in this game!). Graphics are very well done, storyline is compelling, puzzles are fun, map works as it should. My only problem is this...for a game of this caliber there should be better voice-overs for the characters. The game is set in Persia but the characters speak as if they are straight out of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles- absolute Calli-speak...totally (lol). This put me off a bit as more effort should have been put into indigenous dialogue- that knocked one star off what should be a five star review. Definitely worth the price and the play!

Old school! Fantastic graphics, engaging storyline. Reminds me of the Myst days! You are not led by the hand in this game which actually involves historically accurate characters, albeit a little tweaked for the story. As the saying goes: Sometimes we need to get back to basics. So weary of witches, goblins, devils by the score, the wife or hubby gets kidnapped into a nether region ...it gets so tiresome. I look to these games for escapism, and I have been gaming since 1995. Thanks for this, Big Fish!

A wonderful game from a wonderful company- always top-notch...are they running out of ideas? It appears so. I bought it, I'll play it...thank God they give the option of a Match-3 instead of these boring HOGs. Graphics are terrific...and there we go. So disappointed in the story line...and knock it off with the thunder already! C'mon BFG, enough with magic, giants, dwarves (I think they like to be called "little people"). Let's get in the real world- that's where the magic really happens...you know, "Columbo" style! Real murder mysteries- who dunnit? The Templar Knights, King Arthur, the Holy Grail. C,mon now, really? Four-armed people. Night, night. Another yawn.

A nice endeavor by Elephant Games...you can always depend on these guys. Graphic quality is excellent- Christmas colorful without being annoying (we all know about purple!). Love the fact that we have a choice between 3-match and HOPs. I wish more developers would do that. Love the story line- Grimm et al, who doesn't love fairy tales? And I love the way the developers tie it all together. My two beefs are these: the voice overs- very cheesy. My other beef is the music, c'mon Elephant- it's Christmas! Other than that, great game! Thank you!

Stunning graphics without being glaringly uber-colorful. Well thought-out story line with a great plot- not the usual missing sibling or spouse sucked into another dimension by other-worldlies. I want to thank BFG for including games that may allude to a religious nature. Heck- what could be more mysterious than the Vatican?! And if anyone has a problem with that type of theme (as some one-star Scrooges do), then don't play the game. You can see the game description right there on the game's page- if you don't like a religious theme (as vague as this particular one is) then don't get the game, no one is forcing you to. And don't watch the Hollywood blockbuster Raiders of the Lost Ark (thoroughly based on a religious belief). And don't play any games involving the Templars (EVRYONE loves the Templars!!). And don't play Christmas games or watch Holiday movies. And definitely do not get into King Arthur or the search for the Holy Grail. Don't see or read the very successful book and movie The Da Vinci code or play any games involving Da Vinci (tons of them to choose from). Have I made my point? Thank you, BFG, for choosing not to censor. As is obvious by the reviews of this outstanding game, you have made many gamers very happy. How about a Hanukkah game too? :-)

I purchased this game a few years ago and gave up in the beginning due to a map that is not transportable. God, what I big baby I was! Many, many games through the years I've become a better gamer and don't need my hand held so much. I really wish there were more historically significant games like this instead of the usual un-deads, trolls, haunted hotels, missing sisters, and fantasy ad infinitum. There are so many fans of the Templars (although in this game they are the bad guys-I prefer them to be the good guys), questing- especially for the Holy Grail. We need more games like this. Although this game is about 8 years old, the graphics, cut-aways, and all around atmosphere beats today's cookie-cutter shlock. The HOGs are challenging, you have to actually walk around the vicinity and experience it, hints very helpful-but not too much, puzzles are puzzling! Don't let the date on this game deter you- it is terrific!

What a blessing! You work so hard and live life day to day dreading the day that Christmas comes...yet again. We're either waiting for it or paying for it...Christmas- bah, humbug! This lovely game melted my cold heart. The graphics are vibrant and lush without being obnoxious (you all know that over-abundance of purple!). And nothing says Christmas like The Nutcracker Suite! The story is engaging and true to the ballet/opera- so you know the music track is like a nice warm wood fire! Everything flows and glows in this game, a lively adventure for all ages. Sure, the voice-overs may be just a tad over the top, but who cares? It's Christmas!!
What a delight! No goblins, specters, aliens, otherworldly incredibly boring creatures. This is a joy- especially at this time of year. And the sound track! Really?! The Nutcracker Suit?! FANTASTIC. What a welcome reprise from the usual blah, blah, blah. The graphics are so colorful and wonderful, puzzles and HOP's just challenging enough; I don't have children but this is definitely a game the whole family would thoroughly enjoy! And this old lady (who is a very well versed adventure gamer starting off in 1997 with Myst and has over 100 games on Big Fish) is very impressed! Enjoy and Merry Christmas!
