Just perfect in every way. Seems as though developers are listening. No thousands of keys to find, there are some, but not like some games. You keep your knife throughout, no broken zippers Ad nauseam. Just a very fine and fun game!
Rarely have I ever commented on a demo before, in fact I don't think I ever have. This is one of the first, that after ten minutes into it, I just exited in a rush. Normally I will play a demo all the way through...not this one though. This was just tedious from the start. Broken call buttons, missing battery, a filthy asylum and the dumbest puzzle match ever. The things you were supposed to match didn't even resemble each other, only barely for a couple. It was off putting from the get go and I usually love this series. I don't know what they are attempting here in all aspects it is just silly and boring. Not buying this one, I usually always try a demo that has been rated highly by the top reviewers and then follow through with a purchase. This one is a big old NOPE!

Downloaded demo, it has no map, no morphs, no nothing. And when you hit the hint, it just says,"there is nothing to do here. No direction to the next thing, you just walk between two places going nowhere. I had it set to easy to see if that made a difference. All I did was fumble about until demo was up. Boring and gray, nothing too smart about the artwork, seen this style too many times, its just dull. As was everything else. I was almost going to buy it right out as I have been really enjoying the series. So very glad I did not.
I thoroughly enjoyed this start to finish. Challenging enough in the puzzles, but easy enough that you don't get frustrated and keep hitting the skip button. I do that a lot with some games, only because I want to be relaxed and mellow when I play. I don't want to get all wound up, since I play before bed most evenings. Loved the characters, the voice actors were top notch. The story was great and so was the scenery throughout. Yes there is an amulet, but you don't have to run all over heck's half acres looking for pieces to rebuild it. Also, you get to keep some of the useful items for longer than one or two uses. I hate that in a game, have scissors, don't have scissors, must find shard of glass, but not before finding gloves that a) are in different locations or b) needing repair or even c) both a and b combined. ;) kept me interested right to the end and the bonus chapter was good too. This is one to savour and enjoy.
Game play was okay, story line basically another rescue from evil forces and its a bit overdone in many games these days. I did not like the animation of the characters, they were stiff and had no real personality, not very engaging at all. The puzzles were not challenging at all and fairly repetitive. The morphs and collector stuff was limited. What I really hate in some of these games is, you get a tool, or a lighter, or knife and you use it and then in the next scene you need it again, but its gone and you have to hunt around for some silly substitution. Why not be allowed to keep a couple basic things, like a knife or a lighter. Its just so stupid that the next move is using a shard of glass or flint? I am also tired of amulets, ones you build, ones that are assembled, just all amulets, its is old and boring. There was no really spooky atmosphere or mystery. I like my games on the dark side with a more sinister and scary tale. My faves are the Maze series also by MadHead and I got this game because they have offered some great goodies in the past. But for me this just fell flat and I really wish I hadn't spent the money for this.
I don't recommend this game.

I rarely review and generally they are short. This game was boring, not great on story line and plot. In fact it was so unimpressive that I had played it through, forgot and thought I hadn't played it yet. This was in the course of maybe a week. The graphics were muddled and muted, no real dazzle and the little animation that there was in the cut scenes or anywhere else, was really drab. I forgot what the plot/story line was after the first 30 minutes of playing and had to look at the guide book to remind me.
Also short on any collectibles, morphs and the bonus game was weak and boring as well. Nothing very challenging at all and the games were just a waste of time and effort. They just seemed like left overs from other games that hadn't been used and were tossed in here as fillers. I hate leaving bad reviews, but this one was just really poor. I am sorry I paid for the C.E.

I don't recall playing this game series at all before this. I tried a couple of the demos, they were just so so. This however, kept me glued to the end. I stayed up way too late a couple of evenings, but this was well worth it. Great story, loved the interactive parts with mini storyboards throughout explaining the origins of it all. Mini games, great, not too challenging, HOP's good too with morphs. They are in every HOP, even the odd puzzle type HOP's. Well acted, even recognized a voice and a kid from a different series, she played an evil little brat in the other MadHead series, which I also loved, It was a-MAZE-ing. *wink wink nudge nudge* I am going to try a couple more demos in the Right of Passage series, like I said, I did try a couple of the demos and did not like enough to buy. This one I did and I am certain when I try the rest of the demos in this series, I will no doubt buy one or two more. They have several so I should find more to my liking. So all in all, awesome game and I highly recommend it.
I enjoyed the game very much, some puzzles I skipped just because I didn't have the patience. Overall good game, but both the main story and bonus were very short. I was done in one evening.
I have purchased many games based on the demos and reviews. This one fell flat for me, story line was disjointed and was rather boring. I rarely give a bad review and never on any tech issues, different animal altogether. I don't see where the high praise is coming from. I wasn't a bad game, just not a great game. I have played better, this one was tedious and unexciting. This is the first time i played a game from this series, I'll not likely try others. Was not worth the purchase.
OMG, OMG! I just finished playing the main game and have yet to play the bonus. Well let me tell you, this is not your average story line and not for the faint of heart. Anyone who is into Hitchcockian stories will love this. I really can't tell you too much or it will be spoiled for you. Hidden objects are good, some of them a bit challenging, mini-games as well. Some I skipped because I wanted to get back to the story. That's all I'm going to say about it, other than I wish they would make more games of this nature for adults and on the darker side. If you are spooked by the gruesome, skip this game.
