After reading the reviews, I thought I would try the demo. For the duration of the demo, I enjoyed it well enough. But once I decided it might be worth the purchase, it went rather flat after that. It turned into a mediocre, same old, same old. I have played hundreds of those and was hoping for something unique and up to par, especially for MCF. Nope! If you want to kill some time, it will do, but it is rather boring and done many times before.
Lots of fun, spooky story with a couple jump scares, play with some volume to appreciate. Story line kept my going and it is told from each characters point of view, it switches a couple of times. Games were just right, not simplistic but not brain wracking either, just tough enough to enjoy without frustration. I am not the type to go into the whole detail and story synopsis, ruins it for those who haven't played. I am rating it strictly on the enjoyment factor. I did feel kind of sorry for the "Ghoulish Guy" I wish he could have been redeemed somehow, wasn't his fault he was left on his own from a young age. There was a funny horror film I watch a few years back, it was called "House Bound" a kiwi flick about strange things happening in this oddball family's home. Turned out their taunter was their savior, it really was hysterical. That would have been a good type of ending for this one after all the spooky drama. If you ever happen to see it, use the sub titles, those Kiwi have strong accents.
