I've been waiting for what seems forever for the WM to come out. These are at the top of my favorite games and I was thrilled to finally see #6. I only have one minor complaint - on some of the screens, because of the background, some of the tiles are a bit hard to see. Not enough to ruin the game - it's still great! The WM's are a lot of fun if you like puzzle games. For years I used to look forward to the next logic puzzle books to be published because they always included a paper version of these games. I was thrilled to find them reinvented as computer games.

Since Bigfish has seen fit to try and bribe us into buying this game, it seems obvious that BF knows how lousy this game is. Well - hate to tell you this BF - but a mousepad is NOT enough of a bribe to buy this game. In fact, if you tried to give it to me free, I wouldn't keep it. It's not challenging. The story line is lame - like how many times do we have to go rescue our mom/dad/son/daughter/spouse before it gets too old to handle? This is definately one time too many. I found the background music irritating. But most disappointing of all is the obvious bribe of the mousepad to buy the game. Sorry BF, I don't need a new mouse pad enough to do that.

This is a great puzzle game that doesn't make you work yourself up to a frenzy trying to stay within a timelimit - even though the game does factor in time as part of your score. That allows you to work at your own pace if desired, or work for getting each puzzle done within the time limit. The graphics are amazing and the sound effects that go with each different puzzle type (paper, stone, metal, etc) really add to the game. I played for approx 8 mins, then bought the game. I've played through it twice, and do not reqret the purchase. Another 'good news' - when you repeat a puzzle, you are using the same picture and puzzle pieces, but which pieces are there for you to start the puzzle and which pieces you have to place are always reandomly selected, so there is always some challenge to each puzzle. I found this game to be relaxing and engaging and it is one of my current favorites.

Tradwinds Legends is the absolute best of the tradewinds or tradwinds 'like' games I've played. I've now played the game using every available character plus two of my own creation. Yes, one of many plus factors is that once you've won the game, you can create your own hero/heroine. You also have the option to just trade, and not follow the story line. The dialog between your hero and the other characters they meet is delightful. The battles are easy to set up and understand. The graphics couldn't be better. This is the game I will compare every 'tradewinds' like game with in the future. It is definately one of my stand-bys.

This is the best version of the World Mosaics series. Each level starts out with easy grids (usually 10 x 10) and moves up to the harder grids - including 25 x 25. As the grids get larger, they become more challenging. I really appreciate how, in this version. the game counts how many squares you've hilited. I play this game a lot - and consider it one of my 'go to ' games #games I come back to when I need some stress relief or just want to have some fun#. I'm currently working my way through all the levels with the goal of making no mistakes and using 0 hints.

The graphics look beautiful - albiet the dark, gloomy, scary atmohphere 99% of HOGS are offering these days. Apparently, that's the mandatory atmosphere. and this game delivers! The story line (something horrifying has happened and you are the detective trying to resolve the problem) is in compliance with the mandatory HOG story lines - so again, the game delivers. Unfortunately, what the game does not deliver is the ability for everyone to play. The font size chosen is totally restrictive for folks like me with challenged vision. I wanted to make sure it wasn't just me and my prejudiced point of view, so I asked my roommate who has 20/20 vision. He tried the game out for a few minutes and declared it undesirable because the font was just too small and he was already getting a headache from trying to read such small print.
The sad thing is - there is no reason why the font can't be large enough for folks like me to see it. Too bad, this is the kind of game I actually will spend money on.
Lately, there's been a lot of games with fonts so small they are not readable for folks like me - with challeneged eye site. I'm not blind, I'm just elderly and require glasses. .

As with so many of the HO's being offered these past few weeks - this one has objects too small for my eyes to even try to find. At least with this game, not all of the objects are too small, but enough of them are to make the game less than fun. I certainly don't mind a challenge, but there comes a point with these old eyes that it's not a challenge, it's tedious and boring and not worth looking any further. Of course, any game that reduces me to that point before the trial time is up is NEVER going to convince me to pay money for it. I will not be recommending this game because I know that not everyone who uses this sight has the 20/20 perfect vision of youth. Old people, even grandma's like me, like to play games and some of us just can't deal with objects so small you can't really tell what they are. I DO appreciate that this HO isn't all dark and scary and full of monsters. THAT is a most welcome change. It also makes the problems I'm having with the game that much more disappointing and frustrating!
The stunning graphics help make this one of the best match three games I've played. I normally stick to my HOG's, but decided (based on the 3 example pictures# to give it a go so I could check out the graphics. The game is not overly challenging, but the fun story line kept me interested. Each level did become a little harder, which means the dedicated player would not get bored. I was especially pleased that the font used #size and style) were actually readable. So many of the games these days use the gothic fonts that are hard to read, and then use such a small size that old folks like me have a hard time reading them. For match 3 lovers, this should be an excellent investment!
This is actually an ok game. I didn't finish the demo, but agree with other reviewers that the game looks to be shorter than most. The graphics are very well done. And that's about it for the positive. My big problem with this game is that it's all been done before - and done before - and done before - and .. well, you get the idea. HOG's do NOT have to be dark, dreary, scary, or full of monsters, ghosts and whatever's. I'm starting to yearn for a HOG that's birght and funny. Like the Scrubs or Gardenscapes. Great HOG's - no ghosts!
I recommend this game!

Ocean Express
Can you pack puzzle pieces perfectly onboard the Ocean Express?
This is a classic game and a great version of the old tetris. In fact, many of the packages (shapes) are identical to the tetris shapes. The barges have increasingly difficult shapes to fill. And to add to the challenge and fun, you can design your own. As you progress and own 'cash', you can buy packages to use to fill the barges. I play this game at least once a week, and considering how many different games I play, that puts it in the top twenty games of my collection. The graphics are done very well. The music can be annoying - I usually turn it off, because it's also distractng.
