Anabel feels a very strong desire to find her lost father. She has constant dreams and, one early morning, a vision from her father. In terms of storyline, the concept is not all that original to go and find a loved one who's disappeared for some reason or another; however, gamers are swept up in a wonderland of magic, with collectibles, morphing objects and stained glass pieces to collect. Artwork is bold and interesting as well as the musical scores are phenomenal. All thanks to Elephant Games' impressive credits and longs list of artists who worked so hard to bring quality gaming to all ages here at BFG. Thank you! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
Don't know how I missed this 2011 "diamond" game! Would have purchased the CE, yet, didn't think to check. However, while playing demo, knew Sonya was an immediate buy!
Now, in 2015, the game was ahead of it's time as the standard version had Achievements. How enjoyable to be able to actually gather all of them. Hidden objects and puzzles were challenging, yet, do-able. Always wondered how developers know just the right amount of challenge which this game certainly offers.
Played twice already which I rarely do and unless the game is that good in terms of length--not too long, not too short and with a story line that keeps gamers riveted and enjoying the journey.
You are Sonya at home with your sister Lily when villains enter the home. You run to your room when a villain shoots at the door, jamming and burning the lock. You hear Lily's cries for help and, then, quiet.
Realizing this review comes a tad bit late, I just completed playing twice to gather all the Achievements. Game took me four hours and that was on the 2nd go around, knowing where to go and without reading the journal.
If you like a good game, something different and interesting, at least give this one a demo run and see for yourself. A little dated or not, Sonya is worthwhile! My only question is, "Where is Sonya's sequel game?" Looking forward! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
An excellent sequel to Where Angels Cry, you are sent by the Cardinal under cover and disguised as a Templar Knight to investigate Augustine who is rumored to have gone mad while hunting a witch, the Wolf Queen. You must travel to literally tortured lands and put a halt to the torture inflicted by Augustine.
Game is challenging both in the hidden objects and puzzles. Not all games are the same thank goodness. Rather than try every piece in your inventory, a circle of items needed helps gamers collect them to further their progress. I prefer this to trying out all my inventory items which can be so frustrating.
With BFG's awesome Labor Day Sale, made immediate purchase. Thanks to BFG and Cateia Games--one of my favorite Developers-- for a job well done!
Also, any possible technical issues are addressed in the forums and with BFG customer service who are extremely helpful and dedicated. Had no problems at all with downloading and playing, however, I do conduct the needed maintenance on my computer for top gaming performance. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
Thinking outside the box, this soft release is a good start for beginners. Not everyone is a BFG expert and some gamers would enjoy a more simplistic approach.
Storyline is interesting and I'm especially fond of hand-drawn artwork. Hidden object scenes are repetitive, yet, again, beginners won't mind and I certainly didn't mind breezing through them to get on with the story line. Gamer starts with 15 coins and 2 hints. Most of the HOS add more coins to your purse as well as some needed objects, but, not always.
Plays somewhat like an adventure game as well with little to no hand holding and makes for a challenge. Today's sale is a good day to make the purchase especially since hubby would like to try his hand at a hidden object game and wants easy or will quickly give up playing the game. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
Yes! Her name is Miss Dawn and demon hunting is her claim to fame. Still, Miss Dawn has a gentle side and stops to feed the animals or injure the hurting. Loved the first game and this sequel as well. Developers did some tweaking with more clarity and brighter scenes. Everything else is the same and better than ever--art work is superb, hidden object scenes with morphing objects, collectibles, puzzles, non-invasive music, game length, cut scenes, voice overs, bonus game play, story line, etc. Wow! Gotta catch my breath! All the above goodies in a standard version game. Move over big name developers, Boris and his team of Demon Hunters is a force to reckon with here on BFG. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
Awesome game! Loving these soft releases that are turning out to be better than some of our long standing glitzy game developers. Gamers will journey into a peculiar set of circumstances and have to solve a mystery to get answers.
Played for hours enjoying the artwork, hidden objects, puzzles and story line. Too often, opening cut scenes and demos go well and then the games go downhill. This special little gem delivers throughout gameplay.
If you're looking for a surprisingly good game that holds your interest, Contract with the Devil is worth the time and won't disappoint. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
Professor Ashmore, the same man who so kindly took you in and raised you as his own has been murdered. It’s up to you to find out why, but are you prepared for what truths may be uncovered?
Replayed 3 times already as I enjoyed every aspect of gameplay. Ah! Refreshing, creative flair with great artwork, all the while relishing in the Developers' optimal genius and talent.
This standard played more like a collector game with collectibles, achievements, bonus chapter and morphing objects within hidden object scenes. Yes, dark and dreary set the mood, yet, we are unafraid. The objects within scenes are fun to locate with no hair pulling and just the right amount of challenge throughout beginning to end!
Thank you Devs and BFG. Hope to see many more! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
Eerie beginning with an interestingly different plot. A game with a real plot is something to look into. There's so much razzle dazzle that the simplistic approach was refreshing.
Lots of hidden object scenes with large enough items that doesn't slow gamers down who want to simply get on with the game. Yay!
Decided to give this game a try and then decided to buy! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
I recommend this game!

Reveries: Soul Collector Collector's Edition
Your wedding day gets interrupted when your fiancée is kidnapped!
ERS is certainly improving. Plots or storylines have more often than not been quite outlandish. This part is improving with still the distinguishable ERS trademark. Have previously joked in my reviews about these Developers' antics.
Objects are used quickly with not too much running about. Played CE game and bonus game as well. Artwork is always exceptional even though not a very memorable experience. Would prefer one outstanding ERS game like in the old days rather than quantity cookie cutter games.
As always, appreciate the combined effort, hard work and team work necessary in fulfilling a BFG demand. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
Gone for a couple weeks and unable to get onto BFG. To my delight when home, found this very awesome, creative and unique gameplay. Not the usual storyline to say the least. Different twists and turns. Gamers will thoroughly enjoy this one and the gals will fall head over heels as well. Wow! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
