How many of us live near or knows someone who lives near a chemical plant or sees a tractor trailer on the roadway carrying a flammable or volatile substance?
You wake up in a hospital from a coma and everyone is gone. You are seeing some weird and scary things. No, you are not hallucinating. You must find your husband and daughter and, yet, there are many obstacles.
The tale is gripping and the devs did a great job in developing an interesting game with challenge, puzzles and clear hidden object scenes. A simpler game from the good old days where "less is more" and games were judged by their merit and not by the frills.
Just got around to playing this gem! Yes, it was scary and all the more reason because it could happen anywhere at anytime! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
Have always looked forward to Elephant Games! This Grim Tales is too unsettling for me with all the horrific, ghostly appartitions, whisperings and demonized children, etc.
The usual, long-standing gaming excellence that Elephant Games produces is within the game, however, this one is too gruelling for me.
Lots of running to and fro picking things up to put somewhere else that I rapidly lost interest.
A visual parade of color and mindless shock therapy such as defining levels of "fear" makes one wonder what we as gamers approve with such nonchalance.
Would be a great change for more light-hearted gaming choices and re-direct all those brilliant, creative and talented developers' energies elsewhere than the dark and morbid.
Although purchased over a year ago, I just got around to playing this game. Plays more like an Adventure--which I LOVE! There were just the right amount of hidden object scenes.
I really enjoy futuristic stories and this game does not disappoint. Gamer is immediately drawn into the story and transported to the City of Cyan--almost an Alice in Wonderland type theme--where things are not as they seem.
Moral of the story? Science and Governments simply should not experiment with the unknown.
Built-in Strategy Guide is a special perk at BFG's awesome regular gaming price.
This game will be around a long time for many to enjoy! -Mama Mia-
A long-forgotten artifact has just resurfaced, and the race to claim it will cause a devastating war. The only thing strong enough to stop it is one woman’s promise to the man she loves.
I wasn't going to buy another BFG game for a long while until this new release!
Catherine is a strong-willed and determined woman. A great responsibility has been placed on her shoulders through Daniel, the man she loves.
Great acting and voices! Immediately fell in love with Daniel, Catherine and Antonio! Played Advanced Level. Deep, rich colors, spellbinding musical scores and lots to do in every scene! There is so much to the game and no annoying morphing objects! Yay!
Much prefer gameplay--hidden objects, puzzles, a mesmerizing plot, with an explosion of colors and talented artwork.
Journal is not too wordy and shows your objectives as well as an interesting storyline is depicted. Interactive Map shows active zones that is very helpful with so many scenes and so much to do. You are given a Cryptic Disk that scans scenes for needed symbols.
This truly heartfelt lovestory is packed with adventure, puzzles and fun gaming. Turn the volume up, the lights down low and enjoy!
MANY THANKS & WELCOME TO CHA YO WO GAMES! -Mama Mia-
Jane has to write an article on Reincarnation and has to have a first-hand experience to try and win the yearly writer's award. Jane makes an appointment with a Doctor who can perform hynopsis regression.
Usually a hard-core large file gamer, I often times like to take a break and enjoy a game that is not so mind-bending. Child-like in many ways, there were also lessons to be learned of other cultures than my own that I appreciated!
Not a diffuclt game and is appropriate for all ages. Fun, original, colorful and creative. I own and recommend all three Reincarnations sequels. Enjloy! - Mama Mia-
All three Reincarnations Games are worthy of praise. Setting aside the usual horror and gore in so many other games, the story line is exceptionally original and proves that a game can be excellent without including a fear factor.
Challenge was not difficult. A great game to add to my collection. I prefer the CE versions on BFG for the Strategy Guide, Bonus Game, Wallpaper, etc. and usually try and purchase during a buy one get one free sale--which means that I may have to wait a short while to purchase.
Just finished playing this old-time point-and-click Adventure Game. Older seems to be better with too few new Adventure games to select rather than the too numerous hidden object part adventures.
A mystery to unravel with amazing artwork and graphics. Immersive plot centers on Detective Cameron from Chicago who accepts a request for help and travels to Scotland.
Enjoyed the many cut scenes and enthralled by the music of bag pipes. Included are a journal, interactive map, notebook and many items to assist in solving the mystery. A walkthrough is available on the internet that assists gameplay especially through the timed puzzles.
Not too long or difficult, happy to add to my BFG game collection and will play this straight forward Adventure again! Congratulations Devs and thank you, BFG!
Purchased in May 2012 and just got around to playing. I must say, this is one of the best games in a while! A year ago, as you can see by the number of reviews and just the 4 stars, this particular game did not compare to the others being developed around that time.
A lot has changed! Excellent games are getting fewer and fewer.
Another Dark Dimensions game, this one is lengthy but without an interactive map which honestly wasn't needed. Waxed beauty is a perfect title. The storyline is quite good and I enjoyed playing. Still finishing up the Bonus Content. The artwork is breathtaking and the music should have won some awards!
A murderous figure in a red mask haunts the streets of a small French town, and the mayor needs your help to track him down. But you soon discover that the mysterious Red Masque might not be the real criminal…
What is wrong with ERS? I have purchased and played all the Dark Tales games, Haunted Legends, etc., etc. This one was a lesson in boredom and repetition. One half of pliers, other half, rivet--on and on. The puzzles were simply awful. Closed my eyes and clicked and solved! Ridiculous!
Demo looked new and exciting, however, after purchase, reality set in. No more ERS for this gamer. ERS truly seems to have lost their drive, their hearts and souls that at one time, went into their developing. They are now "punching out" games.
It's been real. It's been nice. It's been real nice. However, there are other developers that deserve the praise now!
Dark & dreary is the backdrop to this totally immersive murder mystery. You are the Detective and must scour every inch, every crevice of every scene.
Although there are hidden objects, the puzzles and putting together the pieces of this game plays very similar to a condensed Adventure game. Oh, the cries of anguish to have to think puzzles through and have to actually look for hidden objects! And, what, no built-in strategy guide? Ahhhh!
The killer has a reason and these are not just random killings. You must find this monster quickly. You must work your way through the evidence presented--the hidden objects, the puzzles--all organized very well.
Immersive story line! Thanks and kudos to Gestalt Games!
About ready to give up on BFG's mindless array of games that aren't games, but merely lessons in boredom! As HOG lovers even become bored with their own genre in locating hidden objects because Devs make games too easy and gamers become accustomed to everything front and center, bold and in color. Close your eyes and click away! The game will be won!
After playing eye-candy games--one half of scissors, the other of scissors, the rivet--woe is me! Finally the meat and potatoes is served up through "Order of the Rose".
