I have been really enjoying this game, good graphics + fun gameplay.....until I hit the big glitch. In chapter 4 (so well into the game) I didn't use an inventory object and thus failed to get a rope. Now I cannot go back to the previous location and I cannot proceed without the rope. In the forums other players have had the same issue. If I want to complete the game I have to start over completely. It is very frustrating and has given me a bitter taste for the game so I'm not sure if it's even worth starting over. Otherwise, great game.

I really wasn't expecting much of this game but I was pleasantly surprised. Good graphics and sound, moderately challenging game play, and an intriguing and creepy story line. I usually just click through the story but this one actually had me interested to see what happens next. Please more SE games like this one to use our coupons on!!!
I recommend this game!

Great game - who doesn't love a mad scientist? Such a relief to play a different storyline - no curses, ghosts or rituals. Very happy to have a decent standard edition game come out. I earn a lot of punch card rewards and quite often they expire before I find something worth playing. I have only 2 complaints about this one: the cursor is pretty picky so it often tells you that it is the wrong item so you have to click around in a few spots to get it right on and the puzzles are not just challenging (in a fun exciting way) they are mostly just plain tedious (a blog walkthrough would be super helpful on several of them). Maybe playing it the second time around will be better.... I'm not fussed on the "build your own garden" thing but that may appeal to others. All in all very high quality and lots of fun to play. Thanks devs!! Please release more SEs like this one :D

No cursed artifacts, no ghosts or goblins, no vampires - just a really good story and a fun game. Loved the story, graphics, music, gameplay. I like games with achievements so I can challenge myself to do better each time I play. I like the option of the match 3 game within the HOS so I don't have to use hints. Really like the journal in the trophy room that tells the background and the facts that inspired the story. The only thing is I found it a bit short (but maybe that's because I enjoyed it so much the time flew by) and in the easy mode it was REALLY easy. But I will play again in the other 2 modes and hopefully it will be more challenging.
I recommend this game!

I know a game is good when, after I finish it, I turn around and play it straight through again. Beautiful graphics, fun gameplay, interesting (if a bit easy) puzzles. I didn't care for the music - didn't seem to suit the setting but that's not a big deal. I like that you can click through the dialogue as I'm a fast reader. Best of all an original story with no ghosts or goblins, spirits or spectres - no cursed amulet or ancient rituals. Just a good murder mystery with the added bonus of mixing scents. And it was a pretty good length as well. Great game and I hope for more in the series!
I recommend this game!

Beautiful games, fun (if a bit easy gameplay), lovely settings - my only complaint is that, like most C.E.s it is TOO SHORT. The main game + the bonus are the length that games used to be before we had collectors editions. Really feels like we are being shortchanged. However, it's a great game and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I quite enjoyed playing this game; I liked the bluesy music, the graphics are good, and it's not too difficult nor too easy. Not something you can really sink your teeth into but nice way to while away the time and relax. I haven't decided to buy it yet as I'm worried (possibly without good reason) that it might be a little short but I will probably use one of my free coupons for it anyway.
I recommend this game!

I was delighted to play a game with such beautiful graphics and music that wasn't supernatural for a change. Only reasons it is a 4 star instead of 5 is that the puzzles, while some of them were different from the run of the mill, were a bit too easy and the game was way too short. It's annoying how much shorter the games have gotten since they introduced the collectors edition. With the bonus chapter this was about the length that a standard edition used to be - maybe even a little shorter. Other than that it was a great game. I hope more like this keep coming!
I recommend this game!

Brink of Consciousness: The Lonely Hearts Murders Collector's Edition
Olivia has been kidnapped by the mysterious Lonely Hearts Killer who murders those suffering from a shattered love. Save her!
There is so much I dislike about this game, but the worst thing is that you can't click through the voice overs. You have to either skip the dialogue and cut scenes entirely or listen to long, and I mean LONG, stretches of dialogue (in fake English accents that are excrutiatingly bad). The story/scenery/dialogue/music were all a mishmash of things that didn't fit together but I just tried to focus on actual gameplay which I enjoyed - good HOS, easy but fun puzzles - then I got to the bonus chapter. Just check out the forum for tech issues and you will see what I mean. This game is glitchy!!! Uninstalling/reinstalling didn't work and you can't start the bonus chapter again without playing the whole game over. I wish I hadn't bought it.
I don't recommend this game.

This isn't my favourite in the series. Where are the achievements?! I play games over and over so I like the challenge of bettering my last effort. Instead of which we have a silly little shop where we can buy accessories for the dog. Doesn't add anything to the game and so collecting the chips seems pointless. It seemed a little short (especially the bonus chapter) and the level of challenge was lower than usual for the genre. That being said, this game was quite good (especially compared to the spate of less than adequate games we have been having recently). I like Mystery Trackers particularly because of the storylines not being supernatural but Raincliff is still the best!
