This is definitely a unique twist on the typical conveyor belt, string of multi-colored balls, toss a colored ball into the moving string to make a match of 3 or more ... game.
What makes it soooo very unique is that, generally, the "shooter" is stationery. AND, you can then right-click to change the color of the ball to be tossed into the string of moving balls. Not so here!
Here, your "shooter" is a very un-stationary dragon! It soars and flies and goes wherever you choose to make it go. You start out with a colored ball in the mouth of the dragon. SWITCH that ball with one of another color in the moving string of colored balls to make your matches of 3 or more.
Trust me when I say you have to experience it to totally understand what I'm trying to describe - lol.
Unfortunately, it is not a purchase for me because I just don't have the dexterity and flexibility in my hand anymore to keep that dragon on the move! Otherwise, I think I would have totally enjoyed this game more.
I highly recommend it for everyone to try. For those who have never played this genre of game before ... thi is NOT your typical game play!
ENJOY!
I recommend this game!

Lapland Solitaire
Can you help the elves through all 200 levels? Collect enough chocolate coins to build Lapland in time for Christmas!
I LOVE solitaire. And since this is the Christmas season and this is a winter/holiday theme-inspired game, I was hoping to enjoy at least the scenery. Sigh.
The graphics are good, as long as you're not expecting the marvelous HD graphics of today's games. The music was operatic ... and, IMO, not holiday-themed at all. The sound effects could also have been better.
There is an Advent Calendar that counts from 1 - 25. As you complete each "day" of game play, a new window opens, which I "think" is supposed to add that picture to your card face. You can also go back to that "day" by clicking on the appropriate window: Day 1, click on the number 1.
The gist of the game is the typical high/low solitaire game. As you complete a hand (4 hands for the "morning" of each "day" and 4 for each "evening"), you earn gold chocolate coins which you can then use to purchase a building in the North Pole. There are bonuses earned with each building purchased such as "turn over top cards", "joker", etc. There are also hindrances in game play, such as frozen cards and cards covered in mistletoe/holly. If you DO NOT pass the hand with NO cards left, you do not get a gold star for that hand.
I definitely had some "hmmm" moments. It was announced at one point that I had "unlocked a gold star". Where? What did this gold star do? Never found out. There was the ever-present message to "try to remove all the cards by the completion of each day". Ok. But, if I CAN'T, how do I replay THAT particular hand???
The sad fact is that you CANNOT replay just a "losing" hand. You CAN replay an ENTIRE day, however, all the progress you earned on that day will be lost - gone - bye bye! Meaning any gold stars you earned are also gone and you MUST REPLAY the entire day, not just a particular hand.
I have to admit, these things took a lot of the fun of the game play away for me. The first hand is a rather poor excuse for a tutorial. I don't believe a beginner would quite understand all the ins and outs of this particular solitaire game. I think experts would not find it enjoyable at all. For those "in the middle", try it for yourselves.....it could go either way - lol.
Unfortunately for me, this will NOT be a purchase. I recommend everyone give it a try because these are MY issues and, of course, MY issues will probably not be your own.
The best part of this game was buying the buildings and setting up the North Pole. But, if I purchased Santa's House early on ...... what was left? THAT purchase should have been on Day 24 or 25. Of course, maybe something more magical is going to happen on those days.
Somehow, through SOME means, 2 characters were off fighting a war when one "spelled" them home. Except, the spell landed them in the North Pole and frightened off the reindeer. Santa doesn't know what to do. Now, these 2 characters are enlisting the aid of the elves to build???? Build ... what exactly? Why? The reindeer have been frightened away ... THAT'S the issue.
The graphics were okay, although somewhat small. The music was not Christmasy at all. The sound effects were good.
The gist of this game is as any other "build-it" game. You cut down trees, gather crops, build windmills, houses, mine gold and send Santa to fight off snarly polar bears (who are supposed to be tame) and a Medusa looking female who I think freezes the elves.
The elves start off very few ... 2 ... to do a TON of work. Later, you have a MAZE to go through of doing all the things mentioned above, rescuing elves in the process, who then help you ... in that level. There is a CONSTANT litany of things to do and not enough elves to do it. I never see the 2 original characters other than having useless conversations between levels.
Not to mention, THIS North Pole is the UNhappiest place I've ever seen! Santa is angry, the elves are angry, the reindeer are angry ... EVERYONE is angry!
It's CHRISTMAS! It's SANTA! It's ELVES and the NORTH POLE! There should be SMILES and a RELAXED UNTIMED option (since getting a gold cup is impossible).
This is definitely not a purchase for me, nor will I recommend it for anyone ..... except the GRINCH! Or Scrooge!
I wish I could give this one star but I really dislike the word "hate" so I can't.
This is easily the worst game of the year. Grainy graphics. Music so loud I couldn't even turn it down on my computer and no way to adjust it in "options". Moving mouths but NO VOICE OVERS!
I couldn't even finish the demo and that's why no "game play". I did go to the BFG Forum and check out if this experience was just me ... but nope ..... this is everyone's experience so I didn't feel it necessary to continue trying to play it. I have NEVER NOT finished a demo in my life. Couldn't finish this one.
There are SO MANY great games out this Christmas season. Don't even waste your time downloading the demo.
Obviously NOT a purchase for me. Obviously NOT recommending this for anyone.
I wanted to say something nice about this game .... given it's a Christmas season game .... but, sadly, I could not.
The storyline made no sense to me. As a standalone game, it wouldn't work if you were dependent on knowing the story because it alludes to previous games in this series (i.e., Halloween) thereby leaving players like me ... in the dark. And, it never progressed during the demo at all.
The graphics were horrible. The game board was so small it was extremely difficult to see which blocks were filled and which weren't. Perhaps the use of some color would have helped ..... immensely. Especially since it IS a seasonal game ... maybe reds and greens???? There were also soooo many pictures (also indiscernible) of skiers I began to wonder if there were any OTHER pictures to build.
The music started out quite nice and then became equally ... un-holiday-ish. Very disappointing.
The gist of the game is to make a picture on a graph of squares using numbers as clues. As a tutorial, I wouldn't even recommend it for beginners to this genre because I know for a fact there is a better tutorial game on the BFG site.
In order to get a "perfect" rating, you must NOT have any misclicks, use NO hints, and beat the "perfect time", which is virtually impossible. I like to take my time playing this type of game as it sometimes takes a bit of thought.
There was just nothing about this game that was entertaining or fun or relaxing or reminiscent of the holidays. For these reasons, it will not be a purchase for me. I've played 2 other Gizmo games, purchased 1 and am on the fence about the other. It was really a disappointment.
Merry Christmas!
I don't recommend this game.

Why is the King's heart MORE pure and true than ... yours???
Wow. Just really, horribly, terribly, awful .... wow.
The story line was "hokey". King gets kidnapped on the eve of his wedding and is being turned into a tree because "Dark Wing" wants a pure and true heart and, apparently, the King's (and not yours - the Princess') fits the bill. Off goes you to rescue your future husband.
The graphics were pretty good actually. The voice overs were much improved upon since I played the beta version of this game. The music was nice, though. YAY for that?
There are 4 difficulty modes, including "custom". I'm confused, however, why there would even be a "custom" setting, as you can customize EACH difficulty mode to your liking. Each difficulty mode, including "custom", has the exact same items to switch on or off. Seems strange - it's really not needed. There is NO journal or diary so remember your clues, etc. The map is transportable and DOES show several open task areas at once - I like that a lot.
You DO get a helper. I found it very creepy and not cute at all. Yes. Very, very creepy. It reaches high places and performs tasks you cannot.
The HOGS (hidden object games) were strictly list type with several items in colored words - meaning you had to perform something to find that item. No variations on the theme. In the beta there was an alternative game to play instead of the HOG ... I can't attest to that in this demo, however. I don't believe I made it THAT far into it .... I fell asleep while playing. The mini games were ridiculously easy as well.
CE Bling: Besides the usual, you have golden feathers to collect. These feathers (no indication how many) will be used to repair a golden eagle (?). You have the ability to do this every time you find a feather (which are very much "IN YOUR FACE"), as opposed to having to wait until the end of the game. There are achievements which you can view at any time during the game play as well. Some of them are quite nice: "for speaking to a servant".
I was totally and completely bored. Absolutely and totally and completely bored. At one point, I wondered if this were a play on Snow White. If you play the demo, you'll get what I mean at soon as you come across it. This is a game that offers no challenge whatsoever. Not in the main gaming, nor the HOGs nor the mini games. Sad. Very, very sad.
This is definitely NOT going to be a purchase for me - either in a CE or an SE version. It's just such an awful game coming from ERS. I wonder if this DEV has given up QUALITY for QUANTITY of games they put out.
If you DO choose to try the demo ..... please
ENJOY!
I don't recommend this game.

Laby
Visit a magic laboratory, awake the spirits of the elements and solve the Greatest Mystery of Alchemy in Laby, a fun Match 3 game!
I LOVE a good match 3 game and own several as my "go-to" games when I need a leisurely day of gaming. This game missed the mark ..... by a LOT!
The storyline, which took forever and a DAY to tell, is basic. Help the wizard complete his spell/potion/magic/whatever to create .... the Philosopher's Stone! End of story but it took pages and pages and pages of reading to tell.
The graphics are good. The music ok. Sound fx nothing remarkable. This is a timed game ... no option to play "relaxed" but you don't need to ..... because the level doesn't end until you fill up the "bar". You cannot lose.
You get bombs (of a sort) for making matches of 4 or more. These will blow up a row either vertically or horizontally (I couldn't figure out how it chose which direction to destroy). That's the game ... in a nutshell. Boring.
The storyline never goes anywhere. There are no mini games or hidden object games or anything to break up the monotony of this game. And, believe me, it is monotonous.
This would be great for beginners. This is definitely NOT a purchase for me. There are TONS of more entertaining match 3 games on the BFG site. I would recommend trying a few others out before committing to wasting time on this one.
But, if you do enjoy the demo and choose to purchase it for yourself .... well ....
Really, really wanted to like this game. But, didn't. Tried .... but couldn't. Just kind of shook my head at the mediocrity of it. By the end of the demo, I knew who the mean girl was - duh, knew the plot of the story - duh, and by looking at the pictures at the end of the demo could pretty much tell you how it would end - duh. No collectibles except those boxes and to what end are we collecting them anyway???? Every time we get an achievement, a new decoration shows up in our living room. Wouldn't it have been better for US to do the decorating? Maybe finding the decorations as the collectibles?
The graphics were great. Music was the usual ERS music. The "dark" story line was novel, I suppose, from the "holly jolly" Christmas games being offered. The HGOs were easy as were the mini games.
There was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much back and forthing .... and forth and backing. I was never so glad to see a new area open!
This game was such a big disappointment. Definitely NOT CE worthy. Not a buy for me either. I can't even justify using a coupon when there are sooo many other worthy games out there this time of year.
And, I have to admit, I nodded off and woke up with the game still playing so can't attest to the length as I still had 6 minutes left at the end .... but, according to what I've read here ... I had a really long nap.
