As in any marble shooter game, you have a shooter at the bottom of the screen (in this case, it's name is Buka and I guess it's a butterfly). Try to shoot the colored orb (snakeskin egg looking thing) in Buka's hands into the steady stream of other various colored orbs to make matches of 3 or more.
You earn bonuses during game play as well as those earned and then click on them at the bottom of the screen. Same ones, just earned differently. For every 25 stars you collect, you gain a life. For every level that is incomplete, including bonus levels, you will lose a life.
Bonus levels are timed. There are 3 circles of moving orbs that you must clear off the board. However, you have limited capability in movement and no bonuses. Don't make a mistake and you can accomplish this. Once you complete this bonus level, you free a butterfly.
There is an encyclopedia of butterflies. Every time you free on in the bonus round, you get a HUGE amount of data about it. And, it goes right into your encyclopedia.
While this one fun little game to play, I just didn't get the "wow" factor when the demo ended so it's not a buy for me. I do, however, encourage everyone to try this butterfly freeing game.
My patience, flexibility, dexterity and ability to see 20 things going on in a wide area while multi-tasking ended when my kids grew up - lol.
There's SO much going on in so many different areas that it was impossible for me to keep up. The upgrades are soooo costly that it will take YEARS to finally afford even 1.
I could not find anything I enjoyed about this game. It was difficult to get the "material adults" to do what they were supposed to and why can a kindergartener make his/her way to the bathroom/cafeteria but not back to class? Beats me.
I will encourage you to definitely try this game before you buy. School House Rock it is NOT!
As in any marble shooting game, the goal is to toss (throw seems like such a harsh word) a colored bird into a steady stream of various colored birds making a match of 3 or more. Sound easy? This game is anything but!
The graphics are amazing. Birds in such bright, cheery detail. You can even see their little bodies shiver when they get close to the nasty cat at the end of the runway! Background music fun and sound FX amazing - from the sound they make ("Ricky") when they get their pictures taken to the "smak" sound when they hit a cactus because you just NEED to get rid of that color fast!
Gameplay is difficult. As much as my grandkids loved the little birds, the runway is either very short from point A where the birds come out (running) to the end where the cat sits licking his chops! Sometimes, it's just a matter of when they turn that ONE corner and it's a point beyond return. You can smack those birdies in the miccle and the back of the line but that doesn't always help. Until you level up quite a bit, then you start getting some very helpful bonuses.
Catch falling crystals and gold coins because you are here to help the birds rebuild their town - from houses to wind farms, incubators, hospitals and more. And to do this you need birds of every color and crystals and gold.
This was an enjoyable game. I didn't think I would particularly care to purchase it until the demo ended and my reaction was "NUTS NO!". That, my friends, is my personal "wow" factor which puts a game on my wish/purchase list. I encourage everyone to give this little gem of a game a try. Help those little birdies escape the cat and build their town.
Storyline: A storm, fireworks, a lighthouse, glass breaking and a woman's dead body found in the ocean. Veronica West, well known individual, celebrated her birthday the night of the ALLEGED suicide. But was it suicide? Or murder? It's your job as a Detective investigating the case to find out. Who will be your top suspects? The maid? The sister? The fiance? Or someone else? All these questions and more will be answered during your game play.
Graphics/Sound: Graphics were very old school. Also, colors were horrible - so bright it was hard to look at. This seems to be the norm in a lot of games these days. Could be a deal breaker for me. Background music ok, sound effects pretty good - seagulls squawking, etc.
HOGs/Mni-Games: HOGs varied between interactive itemized lists to find the silhouettes. You can play bubbleshooter instead but I tried it once and it took more time than playing the HOG. I did receive an achievement for playing it though. Mini games were fresh and varied but relatively easy.
There are 4 modes of play - PI, Detective, Inspector and Custom. You are equipped with the customary journal that holds your notes, your evidence board and all the pieces of evidence you have to put together as you find them around the Isle. A transportable map and a nice little invention that indicates whether the person you're questioning is telling the truth or not - like a portable lie detector.
CE Bling: Achievements, HOGs, Bonus Game, Strategy Guide, Puzzles, Making Of (Love to watch this), Pictures, Music, Movies, Bubbleshooter game, Souvenir Room and Collect 44 hidden stars (I found 3 but stopped looking because I was too interested in the game).
I liked the game. It flowed consistently well. Also, not too interested in the achievements, wallpapers, etc. It's usually the bonus game that wraps me in. But, the graphics and coloring were so horrible for me to look at I might not purchase it for that reason alone. That's the ONLY reason I didn't give it 5 stars.
I encourage everyone to give this Whudunnit a try. You get an amazing 90 minutes of free game time. Well enough time to finish the demo and write your own review. Go ahead - you know you want to - lol.
This is an interesting in the way that it is played. There are 3 difficulty levels. I recommend starting on easy, at least for a few levels, so you get the hang of the game play. The first level is a short, not too informative, tutorial.
The game board consists of multiple paddles. On the left and right of the game board are gold pointers. At the bottom are 3 colored pots. The goal is to direct the falling orbs (spells) into the correct pots by manipulating the paddles. Gold orbs go into the gold pointers.
Once you have cast a spell, it shows up in one of the 3 orb/pot colors beneath the pots. This area can only hold 4 "spells". Use these to help you in the game. For instance, there is a destroy all blue orbs spell, destroy all green orbs and so on. There is a "book" that describes what each spell does.
During the game play, these little bumblebees showed up. I figured out that you have to click on them to make them disappear. After every 3 levels, you have to kill a monster. You use the same paddle principle but instead of getting orbs into certain colored pots, you manipulate the paddles to send potions onto the monster who is walking back and forth at the bottom of the game board. You only have "x" number of potions to use.
You start each level with 3 lives. For each orb that goes into the wrong colored pot, you lose a life. Get 3 in a row of the same color and you get an extra life. Difficult as there are rarely the same 3 colors coming down through the paddles at one time.
I got bored with this game. Amazing, I know, but I did. It is definitely not a buy for me. However, I do encourage those who can multi-task, have great agility and speed to try the hour-long free demo.
Happy Gaming!
I recommend this game!

iCarly: iDream in Toons
The cast of iCarly have been turned into cartoons! Figure out what happened in iCarly: iDream in Toons, a fun Hidden Object game!
This would be a great game for tweens. There is a lot of conversation going on which I found useless but, then, I'm not of the right age group for this game. There are a LOT of hidden object games (HOGs) to play and scattered among them are various mini-games.
The graphics were superb and the background music a bit annoying as it's way loud - so I turned it down.
There is an orb surrounded by various colored orbs. Shoot YOUR colored orb at a group of the same color as you have to destroy them. The center orb causes the entire group of orbs to move in a circular fashion, making your shots better or worse, depending on how well you play.
I think there are bonuses you earn but, quite frankly, didn't see any that were worthwhile. There is no storyline and I don't see the point of racking up a gazillion points (getting extra by catching falling crystals) other than .... gee, I've got a lot of points.
This game was incredibly boring to me. If there is no "point" to the outcome of the game other than accruing points, it's a loser in my opinion.
It is definitely not a purchase for me and I can't recommend a mindless game that will waste a person's good time to try.
A unique match 3 game whereby you throw colored crates at a game board of other various colored crates to make a match 3 or above. This is easy to do since you just put your cursor on the crate you want to toss YOUR crate at to make the match and ... surprise .... it hits.
There are amazing bonuses you earn by matching 4 or more crates, however, the very short tutorial does NOT explain what they are and what they do, other than the bomb - duh, who doesn't know what a bomb does.
There are several modes of play - relaxed (keep hitting the crates forever. The level never stops. It's not timed. It gets boring very fast.); Classic (This is a timed mode. Not only do you have to empty the board before time is up, but as you level up there is a "special" box that you has to exit the bottom of the game board. This is AWFUL and where I began to hate the game. You don't see the "special" box until very late into the level making it almost impossible to pass it - and apparently, there are more than 1 "special" boxes per level.); Puzzle (You have to destroy all the crates in a specified number of moves.).
I gave this game 3 stars - 1 for effort. Otherwise, it would have been a 2 star game for me and it is definitely NOT a buy for me. I also do not encourage anyone to waste an hour playing a free demo that's boring and impossible to pass the levels of.
This is a powerful sequel to Enigmatis: Ghosts of Maple Creek. You continue your investigation in the Redwood forests of Ravenwood. People are disappearing. But, something seems very familiar. What could it be? Why are you drawn to this glen? What beckons you? And WHAT exactly is in the Mist? All these questions and many more will be answered in Enigmatis: Mists of Ravenwood.
The storyline is powerful, absolutely edge of your seat, white knuckle, hold your breath ... powerful. This is a game I will play over and over again. It is MUCH more than any game I have ever played.
The graphics were amazing. From what exists in the Mist to the foliage and creepy goings-on. Background music lifted you to a crescendo of heights and back down again. Sound effects were appropriately frightening.
You are equipped with the usual diary that keeps track of your notes, tasks, etc. HOGs were easy to play and the mini-games were not difficult or too thought-provoking. Hint and skip buttons recharged fairly quickly.
You collect 30 ethereal butterflies and dissolving (for wont of a better word) objects. These are not crucial to the end of the game, in case you prefer the SE version. The bonus game wasn't as long as I'd have liked and was also very singular in and of itself.
This is a dark game. In story, in spirit, in anything and everything you can imagine. It is a white-knuckle, edge-of-your-seat, don't stop playing, creepy game. I will play it over and over and over. The continuing storyline kept me captivated. I couldn't stop playing and continued for hours and hours and hours until I finished. Quite late into the night ... uh, morning hours.
I wish I could say more as I just completed the game and was stunned at the outcome. A great whodunnit that will keep you guessing until the very end... and you'll still be wrong. lol.
I encourage EVERYONE to try this amazing 90 minute free demo. But, be careful, don't get too close to the Mists of Ravenwood.
This game isn't played like traditional Mahjong. There is a board at the bottom of your screen with tiles on it. You have to make matches of THOSE tiles using the tile layout on the game board. The goal is to remove all the gold letters - but you have to do that by matching with the tiles at the bottom as well.
Interspersed with this matching game are HOGs (hidden object games), memory games, make a picture, find the difference and many other mini games.
AND, if that wasn't enough to hold your interest - no matter WHAT you're playing, keep your eye out for tiny white pearls. The more you collect, the more you can "buy" hints, etc.
I started out really not liking this game. Then, I started to enjoy myself. By the time the hour-long (fast) and free demo ended, I was hooked. Got the "wow" factor at the end of the demo. The one when the demo ends and my reaction is "NO! NOT YET!" That means a DEFINITE buy for me.
I encourage everyone who loves Mahjong, matching games, HOGs and other mini games to give this a try. There really is something for everyone.
