i like this series of games, but this one has very small objects in a very cluttered scene that you have to find. you need to collect a certain number of candy canes in each HO scene and also collect objects representing the 12 days of christmas. i didn't find them all. the hints don't show these. if you don't mind the small objects and clutter you will enjoy it.
the game has a custom level, interactive map, journal. you are a social services worker in the juvenile division that gets an anonymous call about child abuse and sets out to investigate. you arrive at the home of a cop and right off you know he is lying. you find the boy in the basement and go on the run with him and try to figure out his paranormal powers and what is behind them and why the cop lied to you. the story keeps you interested. i would highly recommend it. sequel in the series? i would think so.
i enjoyed this game. it had an interative map and 4? levels of gameplay. you are looking for people that have disappeared in the town and you meet blackrow's widow and she is continuing her late husband's research. i can't tell you too much about what happens with the research because that would spoil it for others. sequel......oh yes, pretty sure of that.
I recommend this game!

Haunted Manor: Painted Beauties
A peaceful day at the park becomes a journey into the surreal when you become the latest victim of a troubled artist's deal with Death!
this is a long game. it does have an interactive map but you have to remember where you need to go. there is not a legend about where the objectives are or anything. there is a list of tasks. i was all over the game field because i couldn't remember where i needed to go. there were pictures of the scenes but it didn't help me so much. i would still recommend it. you are looking for an artist that paints women and then traps them in the paintings to give to death so he won't die. she is very greedy and he has to keep painting. he came across this thing by accident. death needs the souls and he traps them in the painting and every time death comes for him he gives her a soul. yes that is right.....death is a woman.
The old historic mansion in Istanbul is being renovated into a hotel and when the owner summons you to fix the grand clock you discover that there are dark secrets contained within.
i seldom review a game until i have played it through. i only played 28 minutes of this demo and i really don't like it at all. it was boring!!!! the music was bad. definately needs a lot of work. HO is one of my two favorite genres. this was HO , but nothing i liked. i WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this game until it is updated!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Without warning, a group of mysterious figures arrives and reduces your village to flames and rubble. What do they want... and who is controlling them?
this is a great game with an interactive map and a journal. it has a custom level that you can set the length of the hints and skips. you are searching for the other half of a medallion that you have and you are fighting dragons and banshees all the way through the game. you have help along the way. i recommend the game. sequel? i don't know why not!!
this was a very good MCF game. i liked the music and all. it has a diary and an interactive map. no custom level, though. i have enjoyed the others a tad bit more but would still recommend it. you have been called back to dire grove because they are experiencing record-breaking cold and wild animals are attacking so most everyone was evacuated and just a few remain. they want to know what is going on. i finished the game and then played the bonus content and the alternate ending. the game froze a few times. i have just updated everything so i don't think it was my computer. i did a complete scan yesterday and did the recommended updates there as well. sequel........of course there will be another MCF of some kind. there was a feather left behind at the end of the alternate ending so i guess that is to signify a continuation.
I recommend this game!

great game and not creepy-crawly like some others.
really enjoyed it. 3 levels of difficulty. no custom level but you really don't need it. the skips and hints are fast. you are trying to destroy the different queens that want to take over and make the world a dark and despairing place. the mirror that is needed to stop this is broken and you are charged with finding the pieces and putting it back together. then the mirror queen can be appointed and the world will be safe. wonderful graphics.
i did the demo and used a game credit right away!!!! i liked the theme of decorating a house for halloween!!! i even liked the music. that is usually a so-so for me but i didn't mind the music in this game. earn power ups and you will have to use them sometimes to finish the level. the end was kind of abrupt but the game was fun!!!!
it does have a "custom" level and i like this feature. an interactive map and also a journal. you are looking for your daughter that has been taken by a mysterious being after opening a gift with no tag. you need to go back and forth between light and dark places with the light. it gets broken quite a bit and you have to fix it. there is a lot of fixing. good length on the game and some of the scenes are crowded and it is also a puzzle game.
