has an interactive map and journal. the hint system is great and will show where you need to go. you are a detective that has been called in on a case of a murder of a famous person. "supposedly" she committed suicide, but there is a question of that and so you are called in. you have a journal that catalogs suspects and evidence as you go. some of the scenes are a little dark.
this game has a diary and interactive map. it also has a "custom" level where you can make decisions of how you want to play the game. i really like this feature that is being used more often. you can set the length of the hints and skips. the game is about lost people that go into a "fog" and never come out. you are trying to find out what happened to them. you have a scar on your hand that reacts every time you get around the fog. the inventory box is hard to see items in for some reason. at least i had items i needed but they were there and i didn't see them. they blended in with the background.
In this latest installment of Imperial Island, accompany Emperor Omadan on an exciting journey through uncharted lands in search of his son - Prince Caleb.
i just finished the first one and loved it!!!! i DL the demo and it is nothing like the first one. i played the whole demo and not once did i build anything like you do in the first one. that is what i liked most about it!!!!!! this will be a no-go for me. others may like it. strictly a M3 game unless the demo wasn't long enough to get me to the building part, but i don't think that is the case. again, others may like it if they just want a simple M3.
graphics were beautiful and the game play was normal for a match 3 with lots of bonuses and side games that are fun!!!! you are building a new empire from the ground up and it is just so beautiful. i fully recommend this game.
I recommend this game!

definately don't buy at full price. i wouldn't even waste a coupon.
seldom do i write a review before i play the whole game. i have been forced to DL the free trials now due to finances to pick out the better ones. this is not one of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i didn't like the graphics, it is hard on the eyes. i liked the cards to find and the top hat and wand, but it didn't make up for the game. some will like it.....i did not. i even like the silly ones for kids sometimes, but i did not like this one. giving it 2 stars was generous, but some may like it so i wouldn't totally give it a one star. did i mention i didn't like it!!!!!!!!!!!!
i played the custom level where you can decide on different factors in the game. there is an interactive map that will teleport you where you need to go. that helped me a lot because you are using projectors that switch back and forth between the present and the past. i would have gotten confused if not for the map. already is another game in the series so i feel sure there will be more. i have liked all them so far.
you have been invited back home for your twin's wedding. it is very hurried and the village can't figure out the rush. on your way to the village your father and you are attacked by a bear. when you get to the village the bear appears and carries your twin off. you chase down the bear to find out where your sister is and come across a surprise. there is a custom level that you can adjust to your specifications. there is a journal and interactive map. sequel.....possible.
i played with custom settings!!!! i like that games are coming out with this. you can set the length of recharge for skips and hints. all kinds of things. be sure to check it out. most mini games, again, are too had for me. it plays well. it has a journal and map (not interactive). i had to write some things down so i could reference them later. maybe i just didn't look at my journal enough. idk. your uncle has summoned you to help him with the philosopher stone. you need to find the different elements to reassemble it. you will be surprised about 3/4 of the way through. that is all i will say.
played "custom". you can decide the length of hint/slip button recharge and how often the sparkles last, etc. i like this feature. all kinds of adjustments. i notice more game coming out with this feature. i am glad. you have been called in by a friend to help explain why some strange things have been happening at his native american exhibit. strange symbols have been appearing. when you get there an amulet you mother gave you starts to activate and that is the clue to get through the game. it is not hard, at all. hints either tell you what to do or teleport to where you need to go. you run into some ghosts that is the basis of the game and the reason behind the symbols. nice length. low sound even the screen says to play with sound.
played casual, low sound. hints teleport you to where you need to go and as soon as they recharge they can tell what you need to do. they don't take long. neither do the skips in the mini games. the games are fairly common to other games. sequel...why not? the game itself is you trying to figure out why a town has suddenly become prisoners of the seven deadly sins. the royal family has been struck with the problem and you need to fix them.
