Ok...so I read another review and was kind of put off, but the game looked so colorful and different that I had to at least try the free hour! At first, I agree that it was kind of difficult to figure out what was going on, but then it became clear that it was just a M3 tilted on it's side! So the gravity of the game is skewed and gives a whole different level of challenge to beating this game! The tile pieces don't just slide down the board since it's tilted - the pieces slide sideways and down toward the lower corner. So anticipating where a certain tile will end up is much more callenging! There are the usual locked tiles and entire sections of the boards that are locked and require the usual matching of similar tiles to break before that section can be cleared. There is also a timer [I don't remember if it gave an untimed option - sorry!] that isn't impossible to beat, but definitely poses a challenge when you first get started and learn the movement of the game. I do wish the dev's would have been clearer with instructions and guidance as to how the game played, but as I mentioned before, it is not hard to figure out in just a few minutes and you can replay levels to heighten your score. There were no wonderful explosions [which I LOVE] but it was still a solid, good play! I found myself enjoying the different challenge of this game and will likely buy it. I can't comment on the sound as I kept it muted. As always fellow fishies, do give the trial hour a try to see for yourselves if this type of game suits you. Perhaps by understanding that the gameboards are tilted and therefore the center of gravity is skewed will help to make the game easier and more enjoyable for you. Enjoy and have fun!

I really adore the M3 type games and this one doesn't dissapoint! Even though there's not a lot of interaction with the character "exploring" through the jungle, there are really satisfying explosions and collecting and swapping powerups and different powers. If you've read other reviews I've written, you've probably noted that I REALLY appreciate a game with wonderful, satisfying explosions! [Sound like a personal problem? Something missing in my life maybe?] This game has that quality! It's not a game where there's an impossible clock to play against, but you do get additional point money to spend at the jungle store to buy your power-ups and additional powers and mana. For me, it was a great gaming experience with colorful boards and scenes and not a lot of yammering by the characters! I liked the gameplay and will be purchasing this game. Please, at least demo it so you can ascertain if it's a fun game for you too! Happy gaming fellow fishies!

Really?? This game is offered to us during the time that "Angry Birds" is on every phone?? I really tried to like this game - I thought it would be great to have a faux "Angry Birds" type game to add to my repertoire of BF games. FAIL!! You have no control of the screen to zoom in or out so that you can see what you're aiming at!! Yes, at the beginning of each level the game shows you the target and then pans over to the slingshot so you can "aim" your Pengus at the target - or where you imagine the target to be, as there's no way to pan back to gauge whether you are even close or to zoom out to visualize the scene! Then, if you fail to hit all the targets, the game lets you "surrender" - as if there's anything else you can do since there are no other options - and once you surrender, ALL the levels you've completed are erased and you must literally begin the entire game from scratch! Really??? Why can't you just replay the same level? I'm sorry....I'm one of the most optimistic of players but I didn't even last through the demo!! This hardly ever happens as I usually keep giving the game devs a chance to convince me they aren't as bad as the game evidence keeps implying!! But not with Pengu - please do try it out for yourselves, at least try the demo, as I firmly believe that one person's opinion shouldn't sway your decision...we're all different! But as for me, even as a DD or WD - it's just not up to snuff - sorry.

I tried this game because of the glowing reviews and also because it promised that it was not only a Mahjong game. I was NOT disappointed! I really don't care for a pure Mahjong game - I don't know why....I've tried many of them, but it just doesn't float my boat!! So besides the as promised Mahjong aspect, there were HO scenes sprinkled throughout, as well as the pearls that you need to find in the scenes - FUN! Then there are varied mini games and a timed "find the matching origami figures" which begins easily by matching only 2, but gradually becomes more difficult with more matches required. That is quite surprisingly fun and brought out my competitive side! The game is just beautiful with super colorful scenes and not a jumbled pile of junk for the HO scenes, which is a nice change. All in all this is just a fun, relaxing but also challenging at times game that I just know I will play more than once! I really enjoyed this game and I wish BFG would have more games that have several genres in one! A definite "buy" for me! Do try it for yourselves to see if you enjoy it as much as I did! Happy gaming!

So BFG once again slipped in an innocuous looking, childlike innocent seeming, addiction inducing game!! I thought I would get a game for my grandkids to play and now I can't stop...again!! It's another friendly, cute bug that grins at you and is Oh so polite - inviting you to play! Then WHAM! The levels get really hard and even though I should be annoyed that this colorful, cute game is killing me....I keep coming back!! I almost laughed out loud when the setting was around the kitchen drain!! Seriously, where's my flyswatter??! Just kidding...he's too cute to swat! The semantics of the game are the usual marble popper stylings with bright colored marbles, abundant power-ups like the backward marble, or the universal popper - nothing really new or unusual, but like Zuma the character you are helping is just so personable and cute that you want to help him and keep playing! Plus, as I mentioned before, the different settings - like the kitchen sink - and different neighborhood and home areas keep drawing you back because they are exactly where you probably have seen/killed bugs before! And since it's now seen from the bugs point of view, it's one of those reality shifting angles! Don't misunderstand, it's not a total immersion game like the adventure or HO games, but if you're looking for a little colorful, innocent fun, do give this game a try!

Not even as a DD is it worth it to buy this game!! I usually like the "find the difference" puzzles....but not one after the other continuously!! I thought there might be some HO's or mini games - and there might be later in the game but I just couldn't stand it any more! Also very annoying was that you couldn't turn off the helpful hints...really?! I mean, sometimes it might take a little searching to find the differences, but the game butted in after just a few seconds and twinkled to give you a hint. Boring! Not challenging!! It had a lot of promise as the plot sounded good and the location was promising - WRONG! Really disappointing. I only lasted about 15 minutes but knew that it was NOT a buy for me! Always try at least the trial to see if you have a different opinion from the ones already posted here. Good luck fishies!!

Ummm...so I tried this M3 game because I've found that sometimes really fun games have really....interesting "?" names. Not in this case! This would be more aimed at a younger player, in my opinion. The different "flutterbyes" are pretty and colorful, but there was not really a storyline or end goal that you really WANT to achieve! When you do make a match, a child's VO tells you in breathless encouraging tones that it's a "match!" or "combo!"......yaay! But that's not really encouraging or cute in this case and is more annoying! I couldn't tell you whether there are great power-ups or anything because I was so irritated after about 30 minutes that I didn't finish the trial time. This will not be a buy for me even as a DD or WD! Please, as always, do try it for yourselves or better yet, try it when you have children or grandchildren playing with you!!

This is one of the first M3 games I ever tried and I loved it so much I bought it before the trial was over! Initially, I liked the spooky music, buy it did start to irritate after a while - but muting is easy to do! The visual quality is great, the colors are great and appropriately spooky, the freeing of the old house of the curse or haunting is annoyingly fun! Annoying because I can't stop coming back to start over again and again!! The only thing I didn't like was one of the higher levels or rooms of the game where you had to play against the game to win. Umm...how do you win against the computer?? I thought so! You don't! Buy I'm not a sore loser and it IS only the one section of the game that is set up that way, so that's the only part that made me subtract a little on the storyline. The repetitive pipe-organ spooky music also made me mark the sound quality down a little too. Otherwise, it was a GREAT game and I LOVE playing it again and again! But all you little fishies need to try it for yourselves to see if you like it too! Have I mentioned I LOVE this game??

I don't know if I missed an explanation in the beginning of this game or what, but for a few minutes I didn't know what was going on!! Then...duh! It's a different type of M3 as you don't swap tiles that are next to each other, but you actually pick up a tile with the icon on it that you want to then swap in another area to make a M3. So you actually need to think ahead a few moves to plot how to get the best "bang" for your buck!! There are the usual locked tiles and different colored background tiles that require a M3 over the area to win that level. The automatic hints seem to occur way too fast, so I disabled that feature but others may appreciate the help. I liked that you could choose which power-ups you wanted to use and the resulting explosions were very satisfying! I really enjoyed this game! So I bought it right after the trial! I usually don't like having to use my brain this much for the M3 games, but in this case the added twist of picking up and choosing where to best place the icon was fun! As always, all us fishies have different tastes, so try it for yourselves and see if it is fun for you too!

I really enjoyed playing this game and trying to free the butterflys! I read some of the other reviews and have to disagree with at least one....I really don't know what kind of bug Boonka is, but a militaristic bee?? Really?? Giving allowance for artistic license, I believe he is a compilation of several bugs! I mean, I've never seen a bee that's completely yellow, with carapace-type wings with a big blue bead on them! Plus - I'm no entemologist, but isn't bug culture inherently what we'd call militaristic? So If violence of any kind is anathema to your delicate sensibilities, stay away from marble popper, brick busting, or any games that have those wonderful, satisfying explosions or destruction! Back to the game...I thought the game was really difficult to win at the higher levels. There are several strings of beads coming one after the other so that it's almost impossible for me to finish them off all in one go! But I keep playing because I don't want to let Boonka down! If you lose, he hangs his head and shakes it in a very dismal way - sad! Also, when starting to play, Boonka flys out and waves at you in salute...how cute is that? If you do win, the butterfly is released to cheers and clapping and then you are given a brief lesson about that particular species of butterfly and you get to choose how to display it. If anything, this is where some might find irony as you just freed the butterfly and now it's displayed in a case....hmmm...just sayin'! All in all the game is very colorful and definitely challenging! I usually do mute the sound to a very low level or completely if it interferes with my concentration but I didn't find it obtrusive in this game. I bought this game right after finishing the 1 hour demo as I thought the game was such a great idea and executed in such an innovative way. Yes, it's a marble popper game at it's core, but with the addition of the uber-polite Boonka and how colorful and fun the game was - well, I was sold! Again, all you fishies should at least try the 1 hr demo to see if it's as fun for you as it is for me! Happy gaming!
