This was a cute game, good story line and fun fantasy creatures that can talk. The colors are bright and fun for kids. I just think it's too easy and more made for children than adults. Not so much very young kids, but maybe girls from about 7 to 12-ish? It was just the kind of fantasy game that a little girl would love! Or even for a mom or dad to play with a younger child.
I first played this game as a CE and loved it so much but being a little broke kept me from buying it (waiting for regular edition). Now, finally it's here!!! Such a fun, great game!! I got sucked into the storyline during the first hour demo and I can't wait to find out how the story ends and what happened to Bobby?? The initial story line is such a new and brilliant movie style with realistic VO ....it truly looks like you're watching a movie! The actors voices, music...everything is so professional and great and clear with seamless cut scenes and graphics, I was hooked before the hour was over! Another BIG plus was no penalty for extra clicking on objects! I was surprised when the demo ended and had to check to make sure I wasn't ripped off - it just seemed so short (because it was so enthralling and good!) but, alas, it was an hour and I had to wait for the regular edition of the game to come out so I could snatch it up and find out what happened to Bobby...finally!! I can't wait! And now it's finally here and you can bet I'm buying it RIGHT NOW!! Great job Big Fish!! Another winner! You really know how to get me to spend my disability checks!
This is probably the first Marble Popper game I've played and it hooked me! I loved the poor little birds marching to their doom...and trembling! Then, if you're not quick enough and they march into the cat's cage, the graphic with the sad eyes peering through the bars begging for help....well, I had to buy the game - if only to save the poor birdies! Since I'm somewhat of a newbie at the popper games, this one was really great for me to start on as it didn't induce the stress of a too fast, unwinnable game. The graphics were crisp and bright, there didn't seem to be any lag of the controls and this game was just pure fun! The only annoying thing (and it could be something I'm doing wrong, is that if I scroll too far to the right of the screen, then no matter what I do or which button I'm pressing #left or right) all it does it change the colors of the birds, it won't fire. But other than that, it's a very fun, enjoyable game!
This is the cutest stinkin' game! I thought Bird Town was cute, but the Charmies are just so cute that I didn't even make it through the first trial hour and I had to buy it! Thank goodness it's a sale weekend! The little sounds they make and the way they say "Oh, oh" when you click on them....my husband came running into the room to see what I was laughing so hard at! I know that the "expert" players will probably be bored with it, but the Charmies were so charming that I just loved it! Cute music, cute story line #you have to save the Charmies!#, bright colors and scenery. Overall, just a super-cute, somewhat simple game, that's great to relax with and just makes you feel good! No spiders or other scary stuff, just relaxing fun! Love, love, LOVED it!!
I really enjoyed this game! I know some reviewers were harsh, but it is such a cute game and full of double entendres! The HOG's are not at all difficult, but the whole sarcastic undertone of the humor between characters is very amusing! Especially since the game gives your character different responses to situations, so you can get into the fun too! It's just a simple, enjoyable HOG that the whole family can enjoy and get into the Christmas spirit! It was especially great for me to pop in a batch of cookies, then play for 10-15 mins and then take out the cookies and continue playing! Overall, it's an easy, relaxing game with pretty good graphics and I loved how some of the characters (elf) looked amazingly like some really famous Saturday Night Live comedians!
